| Mach was walking down one of the many passageways of the White Comet with the seven chaos emerald floating above his head. With White Horror now dead, Mach thought that the world was finally saved. Mach stopped walking when he saw all his friends coming down the path. “Mach!” Kumori yelled as she jumped him. When Kumori wrapped him in a hug, Mach let out a small scream of pain. Kumori immediately released Mach and saw scratches and bruises all over his body. “Mach, you’re hurt.” Kumori said. “I’m fine, now that White Horror is dead.” Mach said. “You killed him?” Blair asked. “Yes and look what else I have.” Mach said as he pointed above his head. The group looked above his head and saw the seven chaos emeralds. “You have all seven.” Blur said. “Yes. And now I will discover the truth about my origins.” Mach said. But while Mach was talking to the group, Rock, Chaos and Tsunami were having their own private chat. “There is something strange about the emeralds.” Chaos said. “Yeah, I feel it too.” Rock said. Then, to Mach’s surprise, White Horror materialized in front of the entire group. “White Horror? But how? I killed you.” Mach said. “You did not think you could defeat me with your insignificant power, did you?” White Horror said. “What?” Mach questioned. “I must thank you, Mach. Because of you, I now possess all the chaos emeralds.” White Horror said. “What are you talking about? I have the chaos emeralds.” Mach said. White Horror only chuckled and held an open hand out to the chaos emeralds. White Horror sharply closed his hand towards the emeralds and when he did, all seven chaos emeralds were turned to dust. “The emeralds are fake!” Wing exclaimed. “That’s right. During our battle, I took your chaos emerald and replaced them with the false emeralds.” White Horror explained. The real chaos emeralds appeared from behind White Horrors robe and floated above his head. “We won’t allow you to destroy the planet, White Horror!” Mach exclaimed. “Ignorant fools... We're here to save the humans from their own demise. We offer... salvation.” White Horror said. “What?” Mach questioned. “Their greed, thirst for power, and affinity for betrayal has them on a path of self-destruction. Their actions will lead to extinction of their species. We're here to save them from themselves... with our perfect order... allowing them to live through their desperate lives in peace. Humans are a great energy source for us... they will be well-kept.” White Horror explained his intentions. “What?” everyone shouted. “Let us begin our ritual of prosperity. SUPER DARK... CONTROL!” White Horror shouted. Outside, in space, the White Comet in enveloped in a green light and then disappears. The White Comet was then teleported to the, once great, city of Future City. The White Comet started to rumble before three large White tendrils emerged from it. The large tendrils plunge into the ground and connect to the Earth. Back inside the White Comet, the group was confused at what had just happened. “What was that? What just happened?” Alexis asked. “Those White creatures just warped the Comet down to the surface using Dark Control!” Blur shouted. “So that’s why he needed me to get the chaos emeralds. He never was going to tell me who my family was.” Mach said as he fell to his knees, realizing what he had caused. “Precisely Mach, but I was going to tell you who your family was. The Comet's velocity isn't powerful enough to pass through another planet's atmosphere. The Emeralds amplify the space-time control powers of Dark Control. We need them to charge to full power. It's the perfect plan. That's why I needed the Mr Robotnik to help me. Just Like Professer Gerald helped my brother Black Doom” White Horror explained. “What?” Mach asked “That’s insane.” Eggman stated. “Mr Robotnik was in development of the male Perfect life form, but he needed my help. So we made a deal... I helped him, and he promised to deliver me the seven Chaos Emeralds. That's how you were edited, Mach I stole you from your family and one of them is here right now that blue hedgehog, you call Blur is your twin brother! “White Horror explained as now everyone new that Mach was Blur’s twin brother. “You took me from my family you monster.” Mach said in disbelief. “That can't be! He betrayed his own people for research?! For White Horror?!” Eggman questioned. “Big deal... we can't just stand here doing nothing.” Blur said. “Yeah, let's do this! I'll crush that cosmic rock ball into infinity pieces!” Rock said as he raised his fist. Then suddenly, Rock felt his whole body stiffen. “Rock! What's wrong?!” Blur asks. But his question was soon answered when him and everyone else was frozen in place. A special weapon... this gas, once released, is quickly absorbed into your bloodstream. In a moment, total paralysis will hit your nervous system. The end is near, now...my dear offspring... Eat and devour these savory dishes!” White Horror commanded as eleven White alien blobs moved towards the frozen heroes. The heroes tried to move but were unsuccessful. Meanwhile, several thoughts were clashing in Mach’s mind until he heard the voice of Mr Robotnik. “Please help them, Mach.” Mr Robotnik said. Mach finally snapped out of his trance and realized what was happening. “Hey! Stay away from me!” Jasmine shouted to the blob in front of her. All eleven blobs suddenly jumped at their pray until Mach called out “CHAOS SPEAR!” Exactly eleven arrows were conjured and killed the blobs in a single strike. “What?!” White Horror shouted in surprise. Mach got back to his feet and stared at White Horror with eyes of determination. “No one can ruin my life andget away with it! I will destroy you, White Horror!” Mach shouted. “The irony of it all!” White Horror stated. White Horror turns and starts to float away. Mach quickly followed White Horror, not planning on losing him. “Mach.” Kumori quietly said. “He’s our only hope now. And I can believe he’s my twin.” Blur said. Mach ran down the same passageway he came from, knowing White Horror would be at the center of the comet again. His progress was soon halted when over ten White Oaks appeared out of nowhere and blocked his path. “I don’t have time for you.” Mach said as he charged at the large aliens. Then suddenly, Mach was hit by a laser to the leg and fell to the ground. Mach got back to his feet and looked back to see what caused the attack. When he looked back, he saw every type of White Legs alien from the White Warrior to the White Elite surrounded him. “Darn.” Mach said. The White Elite fired its laser at Mach, but was avoided. But when Mach avoided the attack, he was slashed in the back by one of the White Warriors. Mach turned around as the White Warrior tried to strike again, but Mach jumped out of the way. But when he jumped away, a laser hit Mach in his shoulder. Every time Mach tried to avoid an attack, he was attacked from another direction until he couldn’t take anymore. Mach finally collapsed to the ground. How am I going to get out of this?” Mach asked himself. As the White Legs drew closer, Mach stared at his power ring and remembered the time it saved his life on Mars. “I did it once, I can do it again.” Mach thought. Mach released both power rings from his cuffs and clutched them in his hands. The White Legs jumped on Mach as he shouted “SUPER CHAOS CONTROL!” Mach disappeared before he was crushed. Mach appeared in the center of the comet where White Horror was waiting for him. “Well done, Mach. You've gone farther than I expected... I'm impressed!” White Horror said as he walked closer to him. “But you still don't understand, do you? The future we offer is the only option for these humans.” White Horror continued. “I've heard enough. You're boring me to death, White Horror! You're going down!!” Mach states. White Horror only laughs. “Such bravado for a little hedgehog. I thought you were different from the rest... but maybe not. We are more alike than you think... some of the same blood runs through our veins.” White Horror said. White raised his hand towards Mach, who was now clutching his head in pain. “This can't be...!” Mach said as he fell to his knees. “Just... who are you?” Mach asked weakly. “Don't you know? You were edited with some of MY blood unlike your other edited data it didn’t get removed when you learned your true identity.” White Horror says “What?! I wont lose that blood unless I kill you?” Mach questions. That's right. You are a part of me... do you feel that? I can control you. You cannot escape me... nor can you escape your past!” White Horror says. “Darn you! NO! It's not true...Your not my past!” Mach shouts desperately. Back at Mars’ research facility, Esper was trying to hack the computers data with Glee and Vec watching. They already hacked into G.U.N. and Eggman’s files, but did not find what they were looking for. “Esper, are you in yet?” Glee asked. Vec covers Glee’s mouth to shut him up. “Quiet, Glee. Esper, we need you to focus 'cuz if we don't hurry all the data we recovered will be lost!” Vec said. “Easier said than done... computer hacking isn't my specialty it's Glee's.” Esper replied. Glee breaks out of Vecs hold and flies above their head. “I’ll do it. Get out of the way.” Glee said. “What! WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?” Vec yells. Glee rams into the computer and a recording of Mr Robotnik activates. “Hey, it’s working!” Esper shouts in surprise. Back at the White Comet, Mach was about to admit defeat until he heard his editor. voice. “Mach.” “Professor?” Mach questioned. Then, small monitors with Mr Robotnik on them appear before Mach and White Horror. “What is this?” White Horror asked. “"If you're listening to this, then the worst has happened...you need to know the truth. The government plans to shutdown this research facility..."The recording said. The message was not only being heard on the White Comet, but the entire world as well. At G.U.N. base, the president and commander were watching the recording. "The government plans to cease all of our research... and imprison all who know about you. I made a terrible mistake, Mach... It's all my fault... making contact with that Comet..." the recording said. “Mr Robotnik?” the commander questioned. “Now listen carefully.” The recording continued. Back with the frozen heroes, they were also listening to Gerald’s recording. “"In 11 years, the White Comet will finally reach Earth... They plan to harness its powers to destroy the planet! The only way to stop them... was to develop a way to use the very power THEY intended to use AGAINST them." The recording said. “Of course, it’s brilliant!” Eggman said, realizing his father’s plan. Back with Mach and White Horror, the recording was finishing up. “"Mach... it's up to you and only you can stop them! I developed the Armageddon... It's the only weapon that can destroy that White Comet. Mach, you are the only hope to save mankind as we know it... The future of this planet depends on... you!" the recording said. In the recording, Kumori appeared. "Don't worry. Mach and I will protect this planet. Right, Mach?" Kumori said. White Horror chuckled at Professor Gerald’s plans. Gerald, you fool! Mach is already in my control...What's this?!” White shouted in surprise as Mach broke out of White Horror’s control and stood up. “Well, well, well... seems like you're immune to my mind control now.” White Horror said. You have no control over me, White Horror. I now understand why I am here. I made a promise and I'm here to keep it. Today, I fix all the mistakes I have made listening to you!” Mach said. | |

| "Today, I put my past behind me.” Mach said. White Horror laughs again at Mach’s proclamation of putting his past behind him. “You don’t understand, Mach. You can’t escape your past. Because, I am your past.” White Horror said. “Stop lying and start fighting you cowardly chicken.” Mach said in Blur's cocky attitude. Mach changed into his ball form and uses a spin dash on White Horror. White Horror tried to conjure a shield to protect him, but the Black hedgehog was too fast for him. Mach’s spin dash sent him straight through White Horror’s chest. Mach changed back to his regular form and looked back to see White Horror fall over, dead. Just to make sure he was really dead, Mach walked over and kicked White Horror’s head. “Looks like I’m finally rid of you. Now I can truly put my past behind me.” Mach said as he started to walk away. Just as he was about to leave the room, he heard White Horror’s voice coming from behind. “Well done, Mach.” Mach looked back to see that White Horror was still dead on the ground. “This whole White Legs thing must be getting to my head.” Mach said to himself. “I wouldn’t be too sure of that, Mach.” White Horror’s voice came from above. Mach looked up to see Horror’s Eye floating only a few feet above him. “You have proven to be a much greater hazard to me then I had originally thought you to be.” White Horror’s voice came from the eye. Mach was very confused at this point. Mach had just killed White Horror, yet he is still speaking through his eye. “How is that possible? I killed White Horror. So how can you still be talking for him? Unless...your the real White Horror!” Mach trailed off as he realized the truth. “I'm right aren't I? You are not the real White Horror.” The Horror’s Eye nodded at him. “But, that means...” Mach trailed off again. “That’s right, Mach. I have been the real White Horror every time you saw me.” The Horror’s Eye, revealed to be White Horror, said. “But, if you’re White Horror, then who did I just defeat?” Mach asked. “What you have defeated was nothing more then a worthless puppet body under my control.” White Horror said. For a second, Mach stared in shock before letting out a loud laugh. “What is so funny?” White Horror asked. “It’s funny that the thing I have feared all this time was just a one-eyed starfish.” Mach chuckled. “You can still redeem yourself, Mach. Join me and we will rule this world together.” White Horror offered. “I already told you, White Horror. You have no control over me. Today, you die.” Mach said. "Have it your way, Mach. So be it... be prepared to meet your maker. Your past, present, and future ends here... today! Prepare to die! Say "Goodbye", Mach, as you witness my true wrath!” White Horror shouted as he floated off to the higher reaches of the comet. Mach once again held all seven chaos emeralds and knew what had to be done. “White Horror. You have invaded my home and took the live of many people. Now it’s time for you to pay for your actions!” Mach said. Mach closed his eyes as the seven chaos emeralds started to spin around him. Mach absorbed all the positive energies of the emerald until he transformed into Super Mach. Now that he had successfully transformed, Mach flew off to face White Horror. Mach broke through the White Comet and found himself flying outside in Westopolis. “Come out, White Horror! I am going to blast you straight to Hell!” Mach shouted. “Too late, Mach. We are already in Hell. MY Hell.” White Horror’s voice echoed through the city. From the White Comet, a new monster began to form. The monster looked like a double sided gargoyle with it's bottom half connected to the White Comet. The real White Horror was seen hovering above the monster before it become the new monster’s eye. “You shall pay for your ingratitude with relentless pain! Feel the wrath of Angel Horror!” White Horror shouted. “We’ll just see about that, monster.” Mach said. Mach charged at Angel Horror, but was stopped when he crashed into a large meteor. “What the?” Mach questioned. “Ha, ha, ha. I told you, Mach. This is the true extent of my power! This is the true wrath of the White Legs!” White Horror shouted. Angel Horror moved its hand towards Mach and the meteors flew straight at his direction. Mach easily avoided the attack and flew at Angel Horror. Mach knew that Angel Horror was just another puppet, so he aimed to hit White Horror himself. As he was about to deliver a deadly punch to White Horror, Mach was hit by a laser and sent flying twenty feet away. Mach looked at Angel Horror and saw numerous meteors surround him and started to glow yellow. “Fire!” White Horror shouted. The yellow glowing meteors then all fired large lasers at the hedgehog. Mach used the speed he had been born with to avoid the lasers the best he could. After avoiding a barrage of lasers, Mach decided to fight back with his own attack. “SUPER CHAOS SPEAR!” Mach yelled. Numerous purple arrows were sent flying and destroyed each and every one of the meteors. One of the arrows was also able strike at White Horror. Angel Horror screeched in pain as White Horror left the monsters skull. White Horror then entered into the head on the side. The other head turned around to face Mach. “I am very impressed that you made it this far, Mach. But this game must come to an end.” White Horror said. “For once we agree on something.” Mach said. “Indeed. SUPER DARK CONTROL!” White Horror shouted as he and Angel Horror disappeared into thin air. Mach searched frantically for White Horror, for he did not realize that he could use super dark control in the form he was currently using. “It ends now.” White Horror’s voice came from behind. Mach looked back before being swatted away by Angel Horror. Angel Horror used super Dark control again to teleport Behind Mach and swat him away to a new direction. This continued as Angel Horror kept using super dark control to hit Mach from behind before he has a chance to react. Finally, Angel Horror used super dark control one last time to get behind Mach and grab his body tightly with both hands. “It’s over! I win, Mach!” White Horror boasted as Angel Horror started to squeeze the life out of Mach. Mach thought it was over until he started to hear the voices of his friends in his head. BLUR: “Come on, Mach! Your not weak! You can beat this scuz ball!” Tsunami: “We believe in you, Mach! So take him down!” JASMINE: “Mach! We’re counting on you! Don't give in!” BLAIR: “Don’t let that freak win! Or we'll all perish!” WING: “You the only one that can stop him! Now's the time to prove it!” ROCK: “You’re too strong to lose to the likes of him! SHow him what I'm saying to you!” ALEXIS: “You can do it, Mach! I beleive in you!” EGGMAN: “Show that thing your true power! You still have the powers of the Perfect Life form!" He thought they were there, he could hear his friends. He could hear them cheering him on to defeat White Horror once and for all. With each person cheering, Mach felt himself become even more powerful. It was the last voice that had finally set him off. “Go for it, Mach!” Kumori yelled. That was it, Mach was finally was ready for the final blow. His body began to change bright green in Angel Horror’s hands. “What is happening?!” White Horror questioned. “SUPER..CHAOS...BLAST!!!” Mach shouted. The green energy released itself upon Angel Horror as its body was completely destroyed in the atomic blast. Mach managed to suppress enough of his power to prevent the blast from destroying the White Comet. Before Mach released the blast, White Horror escaped from the body. Unfortunately for him, Mach appeared from behind and grabbed him by his tentacles. Mach then plunged downwards towards the White Comet with White Horror held in front of him. Seconds later, White Horror and Super Mach crashed from the roof the comet and hit hard into the ground. White Horror was greatly injured and Super Mach was standing in front of him without a scratch. “Im...impossible! I am the Supreme Being that rules this universe! I am the 2nd immortal life-form! I am the ultimate power!” White Horror shouted. “Not anymore.” Mach said. “Just who do you think you are?” White Horror questioned. Mach said nothing at that moment as he looked at his hands. “I once asked myself that same question. But thanks to you, I now know White Horror.” Mach said. “What?!” White Horror said. “I am Mach Blazer twin of Blur Journey Blazer. I was born for one purpose and one purpose only. To protect the world from evil creatures like you. I am and will always be one of the Earth’s many guardians. This is who I am! And shall always be!” Mach proclaimed “Do you really believe that?” White Horror asked. “Yes, I do. And now to finish what I started. SUPER CHAOS CONTROL!” Mach shouted before disappearing. Along with him, all the other heroes disappeared as well. Outside, the group of heroes land on the streets. “What happened?” Jasmine asked. “I think Mach used chaos control to save us from that comet.” Rock said. “But, where is Mach?” Alexis asked. The others also noticed that Mach was not with them and scanned the area. The search was stopped when Jasmine yelled “Look! Up there!” and pointed to the comet. Mach was standing on top of the comet and prepared to deliver the final blow. “Only one thing left to do. To put the past behind me.” Mach said. Mach jumped off the White Comet and flew to the bottom of it. He held the comet over his head, ready to move it. “Welcome to MY nightmare, White Horror. SUPER CHAOS… CONTROL!” Mach yelled. And in a golden ray of light, Mach and the White Comet disappeared. Out in space, the White Comet reappears beneath Mars. The large tower of Mars opens up and charges its energy. Instead of the normal green, the Armageddon fired a gold beam and destroyed the White Comet and everyone on it. That included White Horror. All around the Earth, people were celebrating the end of the White Legs. “Alright, he did it. You go bro.” Blur shouted in joy. “I knew he would.” Wing said. “I wonder if he is alright.” Kumori said out loud. “Don’t worry. He IS Mach after all." Blair reassured her. But while everyone was celebrating, Eggman was trying to sneak away. “Now how about giving me those chaos emeralds.” Eggman said. “Hey! Get back here you creep!” Rock yelled. Eggman was chased by Rock, Tsunami and Chaos while the others were laughing. At G.U.N. base, everyone was cheering and celebrating over the victory. “How ironic... After the way we all treated him, he saved us all in the end. We were all wrong about Mr Robotnik. Let us pay homage to Mr Robotnik. Let's work to ensure peace and prosperity for a brighter future! What do you say, Commander?” the president asked. “That is a great idea, sir.” The commander said. Mach was onboard Mars, looking at an old picture of himself. “Good bye forever...Mach the Hedgehog. You no longer exist.” Mach says quietly. Mach walks away and tosses the picture, leaving his past behind before returning to Earth. In a place of molten lava and burning ash, White Horror finds himself awakening in this unknown place. “Where am I?” White Horror asked. “You’re in Hell, White Horror.” A dark voice echoed. Just then, a White hole appeared before White Horror and a new figure appeared from it. His face was covered in shadows and the only thing you could see about him was the pulsating aura around him and his red eyes. It was the same person that was released by the chaos emeralds over a month ago. “What do you mean?” White Horror asked. “You’re dead. Mach killed you.” the mysterious person put it simply. “Mach! If I wasn’t dead, I would kill him!” White Horror Shouted in rage. “I can help you with that.” The person said. “What?” White Horror asked. “If you promise to serve me for all of eternity, I can bring you back to life and help you get revenge on the one that killed you.” the person offered. White Horror hesitated at first, but soon agreed. “I promise to serve you forever. I swear I will get my revenge on you, Mach Speed Blazer!” White Horror yelled. | |

| The Prolouge part 4 of 10: The Great Race of Babylon Over two months have passed since Mach used the power of the chaos emeralds to destroy the White Comet and the White Legs. After Mach learned of his origins from White Horror, he put it all behind him and destroyed the alien leader. Now that the world was safe, it was slowing returning to its original state. But while the world on the ground was being restored, a sinister plot was being created in the sky. In a place called metal city, Mach and Blur were searching the city with the yellow chaos emerald. After the whole ‘White Horror incident’ Mach had officially become a part of the Blur Gang and Blur’s twin brother. “Tell me again. Why are we looking for the chaos emeralds?” Blur asked. “Because, if we find them now. Then we won't have to find them later, when the world is in danger.” Mach explained. “I could be doing something better, right now” Blur said. Mach knew that Blur really wanted to go find Kumori’s family for Mach’s sake. “Don’t worry, Blur. You’ll have plenty of time to find her family when we're done.” Mach said. Then they heard a loud crash coming from one of the buildings. Blur and Mach looked at the direction of the crash and saw Jet, Wave and Storm crashing through the building windows on some kind of airboards. Since it was night time and there were hardly any lights in the city area, Blur or Mach couldn’t see who they were. Mach then noticed that the chaos emerald he was holding began to glowing. “Those guys must have the chaos emerald.” Mach said. The three thieves landed on the ground and tried to escape from the police cars following close behind. “All right! Now were talking!” Blur yelled as he chased the thieves, leaving Mach behind. “That idiot brother of mine.” Mach said as he chased after Blur and the thieves. Blur used his super speed to get in front of them, but Jet just swerved past him. Blur watched him ride away as Storm rode up behind him. Before Storm was able to hit him, Geisy came out of nowhere and kicked Storm off his board. Storm was able to grab onto Wave’s board and hitch a ride with her. “You better watch your back.” Geisy said. “Thanks, Geisy.” Blur said. Mach had managed to catch up to Blur and hit him over the head. “What was that for?” Blur asked as he rubbed the spot on his head. “For not being careful, idiot.” Mach replied. Mach then noticed the board on the ground and found lamp insignia on it. “Hey! They’re getting away!” Geisy shouted as she pointed to the fleeing thieves. Blur quickly grabs the stray board and jumps on it to chase them down. Blur weaved past the police cars and Wave and Storm until he was riding next to Jet. Blur then swerves in front of Jet to cut him off. “Not bad.” Jet said. Blur looks back to see that jet had disappeared. “What the? Oh that’s not good.” Blur asked himself. Blur then hears a sound from above and looks up to see Jet before he throttles down on him with incredible speed. Blur was knocked off the board and the board was grabbed in midair by Jet as he rode away. “So you’re supposed to be the fastest thing alive? That must mean your Sonic’s son.” Jet said before disappearing with Wave and Storm following close behind. Mach and Geisy had arrived too late to catch the thieves and decided to help Blur back to his feet. Mach grabbed the injured hedgehog by his arm and allowed him to lean on his shoulder. “Blur, are you all right?” Geisy asked. “Never better.” Blur replied. Blur took one last look down the road that the Babylon Rogues had escaped from and said “Finally, new competition.” | |

| Blur was walking around Future City, think about the humiliating defeat he suffered at the hands of Jet, last night. “Man, who ever that guy was, he is going to be tough to beat. But the question is, how am I going to find him.” Blur thought. Blur had decided to take a trip to the center of the city to explore. Just then, Eggman appeared on one of the large video screens. “Ladies and gentleman! Welcome everyone! I hope you're all ready for a show; we've got an exciting event, just for you. Since you all seem so bored, I put together a little something extra to spice things up! I call it the "EX World Grand Prix"; a tournament to see who's the best of the best with Extreme Gear. Not just a race, but a special race, to see who's the fastest. These races are no-holds-barred! All contestants pay a simple entry fee of one Chaos Emerald, and the winner takes it all! So, let's see who among you dares to meet this challenge!” Eggman advertised before shutting the screen off. “Eggman! What is he up to this time?” Blur asked. Eggman once again appeared on the screen. "And there's more! Before I forget, I'll present the current contestants. These players, they're hot; the best racers I could find!” Eggman said as he showed the picture of the contestants. It turned out that the contestants were Jet, Wave and Storm. “Hey! That’s the guy!” Blur said as he looked at Jet’s picture. “The EX World Grand Prix, huh? Let's do this!” Blur said. “Told you he would be interested, Mach.” Geisy’s voice came from behind. Blur turned around to find Mach and Geisy walking up to him. “What are you talking about?” Blur asked. “To enter the EX World Grand Prix, you need to have a team of three people. That’s not all. You also need to have Extreme Gear to participate.” Mach explained. “Extreme Gear?” Blur asked. Then, Geisy showed Blur a red and grey board like the ones Jet and his gang rode. “Extreme Gear is a type of ride that uses air as its fuel. They can go up to 1,000,000 mile per hour. But I’m guessing you already knew that.” Geisy said, refering to what happened last night “So all we have to do is race on these things and win? No problem.” Blur said. “If you think so, then here.” Mach says as he throws Blur a blue and silver board. Blur catches the board and Blur stares at it with interest. “I call it, the Blur Star. I made it myself, along with Geisy's gear” Mach said. “I call mine, the Dark Night” Geisy said. “Where’s your gear, Mach.” Blur asked. “My air skates fall into the same category as Extreme Gear, so they are allowed.” Mach explained. “So when do we start?” Blur asked. “The preliminary race starts in three hours. We should use that time to practice.” Mach said. “No problem.” Blur said. Blur placed the Blur Star on the ground and jumped on. But once he jumped on it, Blur fell off as the Blur Star took off without him. “Hey! Get back here!” Blur yelled to the gear as he chased after it. “This is going to take a while.” Geisy said. “This is bad.” Mach said. “Hey, with a little practice, Blur will be able to race just fine.” Geisy said. “It won’t matter if he doesn’t beat the time limit.” Mach said. “Time limit?” Geisy asked. “All teams must cross the finish line under three minutes to pass the preliminary round. If one member of a team doesn’t make it in time, then the whole team is disqualified.” Mach explained. This new rule had caught Geisy by surprise and began to worry her. Mach had no problem, since he could already use his skates, and Geisy has practiced with Extreme Gear since she had arrived in Metal City. The only problem was the inexperienced Blur. “Maybe he’ll be a good rider when the race starts.” Geisy says. The Blur Star passes Geisy and Mach with Blur was still chasing from behind it. “We’re doomed.” Mach said. Three hours have passed since Blur had started chasing his gear around the city. Thanks to Mach’s chaos control he was able to catch it. It was now time for the big race and Geisy and Mach were speaking with Blur. “All right, Blur. You already learned how steer and stay on your gear. But you still haven’t learned how to speed up or use tricks.” Geisy said. “Tricks?” Blur asked. “If you perform a good enough trick, the judges will subtract some of your time depending on the trick.” Mach explained. “But since you don’t know how to, don’t do any. We can’t afford to have you mess up during the race.” Geisy said. “Got it.” Blur said. Blur, Mach and Geisy took their positions at the starting line. Their opponents were three of Eggmans racing robots. The racers were supposed to race across the busy Future City city highway without getting hit. They would have to avoid early traffic, random pedestrians and a big jump. “Racers, take your positions at the starting line.” The announcer said. They took their place behind an electric line that started at the top of a large slope for a big jump. “Ready! 3...2...1...GO!” the announcer yelled and the race began. The racers jumped on their boards and started down the steep slope. The slope soon ended as the racers came close to a large jump. Mach and Geisy were able to put their gear to an angle that allowed them to jump to a section high above the traffic, along with one robot. Unfortunately for Blur, he didn’t know how to put the gear to an angle and fell into the traffic with the two other robots. Blur tried his best to avoid the cars as the came towards him fast. Blur was able escape the traffic and make a turn to get back into the race. But the robots were not as lucky. Mach and Geisy jumped off the higher section to land back on the original track. Geisy looked back and noticed that Blur wasn’t with them. “Hey! Blur’s gone!” Geisy yelled. “We can’t stop now! We just have to hope he makes it on time!” Mach yelled back as he sped up to enter the tunnel. Geisy looked back for a second before speeding up to catch up with Mach. Back with Blur, Blur had arrived at the same place where Mach and Geisy had landed and started his way towards the tunnel that they entered. “I’m finally starting to get the hang of this.” Blur said. His self-victory was soon interrupted when the remaining Eggman robot rides up behind him and almost lands a strong blow to the back of his head. “Hey, that’s cheating!” Blur yelled. The, a robotic chao, named Omochao V2 flew up to Blur and said “Anything goes in this an Extreme Gear race, Blur. Sorry, but I didn't make the rules.” Blur started to chase down the robot that tried attacked him earlier. Blur entered the tunnel and was soon faced with on-coming traffic. Blur swerved between the cars and exited the tunnel without a scratch. Blur had found the robot, but was unable to reach him when a long train got in his way. Blur thought it was time to give up until he noticed a thin rail that led over the train and on to the other side of it. Blur knew that it was risky, but it was the only chance he had. Blur jumped off a nearby ramp and landed on the rail, trying to keep his balance. After being able to maintain his balance, Blur jumped off the rail and landed safely on the ground. Back with Mach and Geisy, the two jumped off a small ramp from the top of the city tower and landed safely on the ground below to reach the finish line. After passing the finish line, Mach and Geisy stopped and looked back to see if Blur was coming. “Where is he?” Geisy asked. Mach looked at the timer on the large television screen to see that Blur only had 40 seconds until the timer was up. “Come on, Blur. You can do it.” Mach said in his mind. Blur had turned the final corner and saw the robot racing toward the large tower. “Anything goes, huh? All right, you piece of scrape! Let’s see how you like it!” Blur yelled. Blur grabbed the Blue Star from under him and begins to perform his spin dash. Blur’s spin dash allowed him to reach the robot and tear through its body, destroying it. Blur landed on the Blue Star again and saw a large ramp ahead. Unlike last time, Blur knew what to do at the ramp. Blur angled his gear at the top of the ramp and pushed upwards. Blur landed in the upper area of the tower and had one more ramp left to jump. Blur jumped off the ramp and landed on the ground safely to pass the finish line. Blur jumped off his board and was greeted by Geisy and Mach. “I did it, guys. Not bad, huh?” Blur said cheerily. “Uh...Blur. Look.” Geisy said as she pointed to the timer. Blur looked at the timer and his happy attitude became sad. The timer said “3.59.59”, meaning he had missed the time limit by 59 seconds. “I’m sorry, guys.” Blur said sadly. “Hold on, folks. I discovered that Blur had performed a grind trick during the race I will recaculate the time now.” Omochao V2 says. The screen then shows a video of Blur grinding the rail over the train. “And here's Blur’s new score.” Omochao V2 said. Everyone was on the edge of their seats as they awaited Blur’s final score. The score board was lit up and showed Blur's official time was 2.59.59. Blur had beaten the time limit by one millisecond. “YAHOO!!!” Blur yelled in happiness. Geisy was jumping around with excitement and Mach gave out a loud sigh of relief. “Thank God.” Mach said. Meanwhile, the Babylon Rogues were watching the entire race from atop one of the city biuldings. “That blue guy sure is lucky.” Storm said “Looks like the competition will be tough. You better watch yourself, Jet.” Wave said. “It won’t matter. In the end, I will win those chaos emeralds and have the treasure of Babylon” Jet said as he gave out an arrogant laugh. | |

| In the lovely paradise of Splash Canyon, the Blur, Mach and Geisy team were exploring the area and checking up on the competition for their next race. “So far, all I have seen are a bunch of wannabe riders. Even you could probably beat them, Blur.” Geisy said. “The only ones we haven’t seen are those bird guys from the other day.” Blur said. “That makes me wonder. Don’t find it suspicious that Eggman would hold an Extreme Gear tournament the day after those thieves took the chaos emerald?” Geisy asked “Nope.” Blur replied. Even though Blur didn’t agree, Geisy and Mach thought that Eggman was up to something. After all, Eggman created a racing tournament for riding something that only the Babylon Rogues could master. Their walk around the canyon was interrupted when a familiar voice sounded off. “Hey, Mach.” The group looked forward to see Kumori running up to them with her own board gear, the Passion, and halted to a stop in front of them. “Kumori, don’t tell me you signed up too.” Blur said. “Of course. It really looks exciting and fun. Why wouldn't I join? And besides... this way, I'll be able to keep my eyes on Mach.” Kumori said with starry eyes. Of course, Mach wasn’t paying any attention to Kumori. Mach just stared at the Blur Star in his hands, obviously thinking hard. “Hey, Mach! Are you even listening?!” Kumori yelled. Mach snapped out of his thoughts and finally noticed Kumori. “Kumori? What are you doing here?” Mach asked. “Well, if you would have payed attention, then you would know!” Kumori said in a huff. “Sorry. I was too busy, thinking about that mark.” Mach said. “What mark?” Blur asked. “The one on the boards that belong to those thieves back in Future City. I think it was the mark of Babylon.” Mach explained. “Babylon?” Kumori asked. “Yes; the mark of the Babylon Rogues. I read an article about them, back on Mars, 8 years ago. Over 3000 years ago, there was a floating island known as Babylon Garden. Supposedly, robbers lived there. According to rumors... this "legendary" band, the Babylon Rogues, were great thieves. Legend also says that the Babylon Rogues incurred the wrath of the Gods because of their crimes, and that the island was cast into the depths of the Earth. After that, supposedly the Babylonians were then scattered for all time, never to be found. But they say that the Babylon Rogue's treasure still remains on that island, waiting to be discovered.” Mach explained “There are also rumors that the Babylon Rogues were Extreme Gear specialists. Mr Robotnik read about this and that’s how I got my air skates” Mach continued. “Still, how can boards and shoes like them just float?” Geisy asked. “That’s an easy one to explain. According to the Kutta-Joukowski Lift Theorem, the control surface flow is balanced by the inverse kinetics of the—“Kumori explained as Geisy eyes went in circles around her head Kumori continued to tell about how they float, but was interrupted. “STOP!! I get it, okay?! They just float and that's good enough for me!” Geisy yelled out. After Geisy was finished yelling, the group could here someone laughing from the side. The one laughing turned out to be one of the thieves from Future City, Wave. “Huh?” Blur asked. “Sorry, but it’s just too funny.” Wave said. Wave’s eyes soon caught sight of the Blur Star. “Hey. That’s an unusual gear.” Wave said as she took it from Mach to inspect it. “I customized it myself. I used special parts I found back on Mars.” Mach said. “This isn't bad for an amateur. Still, you can never be too careful.” Wave thought. Wave then starts laughing, leaving everyone confused. "Well, I never imagined anyone would enter the race with such a piece of junk.” Wave said as she threw back the Blur Star to Mach. “Thanks though. It was good for a laugh. See ya” Wave said as she walked away. Mach didn’t seem to be affected by Wave’s insult, but Kumori was taking it personal. “Oh, the never of that girl. Making fun of gear that MY Mach made. Just who does she think she is? Dr Phil?” Kumori said with hate. Yeah! How can she just walk in and diss my bro Mach like that?” Blur asked. Mach placed a hand on Kumori’s shoulder to stop her anger. “Calm down. We’ll show her during the race.” Mach said. “You’re right.” Kumori said. At another part of the canyon, Jet and Storm we waiting for Wave to get back and Jet was not very patient. “What’s taking her so long?! She should have been back by now!” Jet complained over and over again. “Maybe she got lost somewhere.” Storm suggested. “Don’t be an idiot. Wave never gets lost.” Jet reminded his friend. “Oh yeah.” Storm said stupidly. Jet slapped himself in the face hard, wondering why he even tried to explain anything to Storm. It was then that Wave decided to show up. “Hey guys.” Wave said to them. When Wave walked up to Jet, she could see that he was angry. “What?” Wave asked. “Where were you?! You supposed to go to Eggman’s factory, pick up the parts and reconfigure our gear! So what took you so long?!” Jet yelled at his female companion. “Sorry. I was heading back, when I ran into that blue rat and his friends. Apparently that black rat knows about our group and the treasure of Babylon.” Wave told him. “Do they know how to find it?” Jet asked. “No, they don’t.” Wave replied. Jet gave out a sigh of relief. “So what about our gear?” Storm asked. Wave then threw the two Extreme gear boards at their respective owners. When the two caught them, they we amazed at the advancement that Wave did. Their gear looked more sleek and sturdy then their previous boards “Wow, Wave. These are amazing.” Jet said. “Thanks to the parts Eggman supplied, I was able to create more advanced versions of our gear. Storm, your gear is called the Smash.” Wave said. “Cool.” Storm said. “And Jet, your gear is called Jester.” Wave said. Jet looked over his board again, but then noticed that Wave didn’t have her gear with her. “Where is your gear, Wave?” Jet asked. Wave then showed her gear to the two. Her board was also more advanced was more sleek and sturdy, like Jet’s and Storm’s gear. “Say “hello” to the Wind.” Wave said. "Wow." Jet and Storm said in amazement “The next race is about to begin. Please come to the gate, participants!” Omochao said over the loudspeaker. “Go clobber them, wave” Jet said. Wave gives the two a thumbs-up before running to the starting line. When Wave at the starting line, she noticed that her competition was a bunch of amateur riders. “With these guys as my competition, this race will be a snap.” Wave said confidently “I couldn’t agree with you more.” Kumori’s said as she walked next to Wave. “Don’t tell me your gonna race me.” Wave said. “I will not only race, but I’ll win.” Kumori said with confidence. “In your dreams.” Wave said. Wave and Kumori took their places at the starting line. “Ready! 3...2...1...GO!” Omochao yelled and the race began. When Omochao had reached one, most of the contestants jumped the gun and were disqualified for starting early. The only ones left were Wave and Kumori. “I knew those losers wouldn’t last long, but they didn’t start.” Wave said, laughing. Wave thought this race was in the bag until Kumori sped up and passed her. “Not bad, for an amateur.” Wave said. Wave sped up to catch Kumori as the both entered a cave to begin the first quarter of the race. When the two first reached the cave, there was a large gap between the two sections of the track and only a small ramp. Wave knew that the ramp wouldn’t allow her to reach the other side and then noticed a large acceleration ring in the air. Wave moved the Wind to an angle to allow her to jump through the ring and push her towards the other side of the gap. Kumori knew her gear wasn’t built to fly like Wave’s and found no other option but to jump. Kumori jumped off the ramp, but had fallen in halfway. Kumori thought she was done for until the Passion landed on a secret rail and allowed her to enter a secret track. Wave had just exited the cave and found no sign of Kumori following. “Hah! I knew she couldn’t keep up!” Wave boasted. Just when she thought it was over, Kumori came out of a small hole in the canyon wall and landed right in front of Wave. “What?” Wave questioned. Kumori looked back at Wave and stuck her tongue out before entering the river part of the track. Wave and Kumori were riding the rapids, trying to avoid the deadly rocks, until they came to a large waterfall. To their surprise, the waterfall picked them up and shot them straight into the air. Wave and Kumori landed safely on the other side of the waterfall and were headed in the path of a large ramp. Wave changed her direction to avoid the ramp. Kumori was about to do the same thing until she noticed a rail above the ramp. Kumori jumped off the ramp and grinded on the rail over the hills. Wave thought she was winning until she noticed that Kumori was grinding the rails to avoid the obstacles. Wave then noticed a ramp hidden behind a bush and a few acceleration rings in the air. Wave jumped off the ramp and flew through the rings to avoid any obstacles in her way. Wave and Kumori landed at the exact same time as the made their way into another cave for the final stretch. “At this rate, I’ll lose. Looks like I have no other choice.” Wave thought as she pulled something big out of her pocket. Kumori and Wave noticed a wall of water in their path and figured that it was a waterfall. Kumori and Wave jumped as soon as the reached the water to fly down to the ground. Before Kumori could touch the ground, Wave pulled out a large wrench and nailed Kumori in the back of the head. The blow sent Kumori flying off her gear and into the river below. Wave landed safely to cross the finish line and win the race. Kumori pulled herself out of the river as Mach and the others came to help her. “Kumori, are you all right?” Mach asked worried. “Yeah.” Kumori replied sadly as she looked at Wave celebrating with Jet and Storm. Mach noticed this and said. “Don’t worry. I promise I’ll beat her for you.” Kumori smiled at Mach and said “Thank you, Mach.” Now that she had attacked Kumori and made her lose the race, Mach was determined to get revenge and defeat Wave. | |

| Geisy was walking around the blazing Egg Factory, checking out the track before he began his race. Since it was over a hundred degrees in the factory, Geisy was burning up because of her racing clothes. “Maybe it wasn’t a good idea to wear these during race. I’m boiling in this thing. Maybe I change after the race.” Geisy said. Geisy continued walking, but stopped when she ran into someone, literally. The sudden collision knocked Geisy to the ground and caused her to spin in circles. “Hey! Watch where you’re going!” a gruff voice yelled at her. Geisy found out that the person she ran into was Storm, the thief from Future City. Once get back up, Storm instantly remembered her as the one who kicked him back at Future City. “Huh? You!” Geisy and Storm yelled at the same time. “What are you doing here?” Geisy questioned. "I'll make sure to pay you back for this!” Storm said, obviously ignoring the question. Both Geisy and Storm get back to their feet and raised their fists to get ready to fight. “Hah! I let you get away last time, but definitely NOT today!” Geisy shouted. “Why wait 'til later, you little punk? I'll pay you back tenfold, NOW!” Storm threatened. As Geisy starts to wind up a punch, but a random Eggman robot from behind was unlucky enough to receive it. “Oh, sorry.” Geisy said to the robot. “Wa-hahahaha! What're you doin', you clumsy fool? Was that supposed to be some kind of punch?” Storm laughed. Storm winds up his own punch and throws it at Geisy. But Geisy saw the punch out of the corner of her eye and jumped out of the way. “Nice try, buddy.” Geisy said. When the punch missed Geisy, it landed a direct blow to the poor robot. “Sorry there! It wasn't my fault! If she hadn't jumped out of the way just now, I would've clobbered--” Storm trailed off as the robot blew up in his face. Seeing the robot blow up on Storm, Geisy rolled over with laughter. “You think that’s funny, do ya?” Storm said angrily. “Actually, I do.” Geisy replied. Both Geisy and Storm pulled back their fists to punch, but stopped when the announcements came on. “The race is about to start! All participants please get to your positions now.” Omochao announced. “The track then; we’ll finish it there!” Geisy challenged. “Looking forward to it!” Storm accepted. Storm and Geisy made their way to the starting line, caught in a heated staring contest. Geisy and Storm arrived at the starting line and found their competition too be very unsatisfying. “Man, they’ll let just about anyone enter the race.” Storm said. “You’re actually right, for once.” Geisy said. “That meant you too.” Storm said. “What!” Geisy yelled in anger. Geisy tried to calm her anger for the big bird as she walked to his place at the starting line. “Ready! 3...2...1...GO!” Omochao yelled and the race began. The riders flew out from the starting line and down the large slope. At the end of the slope was a large ramp. Geisy angled the Dark Mach and Storm angled the Smash to jump high off the ramp and received maximum air. Geisy pulled off three back flips and landed safely on the ground. Storm did three right spins before landing on the ground. The other riders tried to perform trick as well, but failed at landed on their faces instead of their gear. Now the only ones left were Storm and Geisy. Geisy held a temporary lead until Storm sped up and passed her. Speeding up was a bad idea on Storm’s part because he was coming up to a sharp turn and was going too fast to make it. Storm had no choice but to put stop and lose all the speed he had gained. Geisy, on the other hand, slowed down to make the turn and sped back up to take the lead again. Storm saw this and turned the Smash around to face the direction Geisy went and started back up again. Geisy came up to a ramp and jumped off it to land on the track across a pool of lava. Storm also reached the ramp, but instead of simply jumping off it, Storm angled the Smash to make a big jump and landed on a track above the one Geisy was on. “See ya later, chump!” Storm shouted from above and took off. Geisy wasn’t about to let Storm win this race and made a quick turn and then found a large fan that shot her straight up. Once Geisy landed, she saw that Storm had gained a huge lead in front of her. “There has got to be a way to get ahead of that bird brain.” Geisy said. Storm was about to turn the corner until a pillar of lava came out of nowhere and caught him by surprise. Storm fell off the Smash, which allowed Geisy to take the lead. Geisy turned the corner and looked forward to see a small ramp coming up that led to another part of the track. She readied himself to jump it until Storm came out of nowhere and punched Geisy into the wall. Geisy fell off the Dark Mach and got up to her knees to watch as Storm took the lead. “See ya at the finish line, loser!” Storm yelled back. Storm jumped off the ramp and landed in the manufacturing part of the factory. Strom swerved and punched through the robots, the cranes and the other mechanical systems that got in his way. Storm then came to another sharp turn similar to the one before and knew what to do this time. Storm slowed down so that he could make the turn and speed back up again. Storm then found a small mechanical pulley and grabbed on to allow himself to be pulled by it. After riding the pulley around the blazing core of the factory, Storm jumped off and made a turn that led to the final stretch of the race. “Hah! I knew that punk couldn’t beat me! I win!” Storm boasted. Just when he thought he had won, Geisy jumped out of nowhere and was holding a huge red and Green hammer. “This is for nailing me back on the track!” Geisy yelled as she brought the hammer down on Storm. Storm was knocked off the Smash and fell to the ground as Geisy passed the finish line to win the race. Storm pounded his fist into the ground after realizing that he had just lost the race. Geisy jumped off the Dark Mach and was greet by the rest of his team. “You did great, Geisy.” Mach said. “Thanks, Mach.” Geisy said. Geisy was waiting for Blur to say something, but he didn’t. Geisy noticed that Blur was staring at the hammer that he was holding. “What’s wrong with you, Blur?” Geisy asked. “Where did you find that?” Blur asked, refering to the hammer. “What?” Geisy asked again. “That's my mom'd hammer, how did you get it?" Blur asked. "Some things are best unknown." Geisy answered, trugging away. | |

| On the Babylon Rogues airship, Jet was sitting at his desk in his room, looking between his crystal box and the light-blue chaos emerald that they stole from Future City. “Hmm...I just wonder if I can trust Eggman. He does know the secret of Babylon and how to find it, but how can I be sure that he won’t steal the treasure once we find it?” Jet thought. “Wow! Are you actually thinking?” Wave’s voice came up next to him. The sudden appearance of Wave surprised Jet and caused him to fall back in his chair and Make him drop the control box on the floor. “I’m sorry. Here, let me get that.” Wave said as she reached for the crystal box. “No. let me get it.” Jet said as he reached for the crystal box. Wave’s hand touched the crystal box first and Jet’s hand landed on top of hers. Wave and Jet were surprised at this moment and looked at each other in the eyes. “Uh...your hand is touching mine.” Wave said embarrassingly. “Uh-huh.” Jet said simply. “Are you going to move it?” Wave asked. “No.” Jet replied. Jet and Wave closed their eyes and moved their heads closer to each other. This is the moment Jet had been dreaming of for a long time and didn’t plan on letting anything ruin it. Unfortunately for him, his special moment was ruined when loud thumps could be heard outside his door. “Hey, Boss!” Storm yelled as he flung the doors open. Storm’s sudden intrusion caused Jet and Wave to jump up in surprise and cause them to land on their backs. Storm didn’t pay any attention to Wave being there and started to bang Jet’s desk like a madman. “Boss? T-The girl beat me, in the race...!” Storm yelled. Jet pulled himself up with his desk and seemed to be very irritated with Storm. Wave gets up from the floor and walks next to Storm. “Man, you really ARE worthless.” Wave said. Storm growled at her for a moment before turning back to Jet. “Boss, it wasn't my fault! Sh-she must've cheated; that's it. She used some special hammer!” Storm said frantically. “Bad move, Storm.” Jet thought. “What?! Are you implying that you lost because of MY Gear?! No one can tune a Gear the way I can! Accept it, buddy - it's not the board; your skills just suck.” Wave said in anger. Wave’s insult about his skills had caught Storm by surprise. “W-wh... W-wha? S... S... S-Suck?” Storm cried. “Yes. S-U-C-K. Suck.” Wave spelled it out for him. “S... su... suck?” Storm continued to cried. Jet was becoming irritated with the fight and quickly interrupted. “Stop it you feather brains!! Now, let's get down to business. I believe our colleague, Eggman... He's gotta be hiding something. And you know... I don't like secrets, so I've got a job for you, Storm.” Jet said Storm quickly forgot his argument with Wave and faced Jet. “Sure.” Storm said. "I want you to sneak into Eggman's base, and find out what he's hiding there! Make sure you look carefully.” Jet instructed. Storm saluted Jet and started to walk away. “Hey, before you go... Bring something back, or don't return at all. And I really mean don’t return if you don’t get something!” Jet ordered. “Yes, SIR!!” Storm shouted as he blazed out of the room. On his way out, Storm slammed the door shut, which knocked a picture of Jet’s father off the wall and onto Jet. “AHHH!!” Jet screamed. Jet was furious and threw the picture off him, he then kicked his desk out the window. | |

| In the forest inside Green Cave, Jet was sleeping on the ground while Wave was pacing around frantically, waiting for Storm to show up with the information. “Oh... oh boy, oh boy... Ugh!” Wave repeated over and over. She then stopped her pacing as she looked at Jet sleeping. “How can he be so relaxed? Especially when he has a very important race coming up. Although, he does look kind of cute when he is sleeping like that.” Wave thought. Wave continued to stare at Jet until she realized what she said in her mind. The memory of her and Jet almost kissing back on the airship kept flashed in her mind and shook her head to dismiss the thought. “Snap out of it, Wave! You can’t really be falling for Jet!” Wave shouted in her mind. It was at that time that Jet woke up and noticed that she was shaking her head around for no reason. “What's wrong with you?” Jet asked. Wave snapped out of her trance and quickly turned away to hide the blush on her face. “Nothing. I’m just wondering what’s taking Storm so long.” Wave said. “Just sit down and relax. Chill, Wave.” Jet said. Wave turn back towards him with a stern look. “Really, Jet! How can you be so relaxed at a time like this?! Don't you see? As the leader, you've got responsibilities. Some you understand, but you—“ Jet then just tuned Wave out after that. Out of the corner of his eye, Jet then noticed Blur riding on a ramp. “Hmm, I think it's time for a little fun.” Jet said. Jet noticed that Wave closed her eyes in the middle of her boring lecture and tiptoed away to make sure she didn't notice. Once Jet made it into the clear, he jumps onto a nearby tree branch. Wave then noticed that Jet was gone and saw him jump to another tree. “Hey, Jet! You come back here! Right now! ...Why do I even bother? Unless I take charge, nothing ever gets done here.” Wave said as she grabs the Tsunami and starts to walk away. Back with Blur and his team, Blur launches off a ramp and performs three right-spins. Mach and Geisy were watching from below, monitoring Blur’s skills. “The semifinal race will begin in ten minutes! Please convene at the gate prior to that time.” Omochao said over the loudspeaker. Blur flipped off the Blur Star and caught it mid-air before landing perfectly on his feet. “Very impressive, Blur. With your new-found skills, you could actually have a chance making it to the finals.” Mach said. “Thanks...I think.” Blur said. “Not very impressive for someone of your reputation.” A voice came from the trees. The team looks up to find Jet standing in one of the trees. “It’s you.” Blur said. “You know, I've checked you out actually. Not bad; I admit you're pretty fast on your feet. But here, it's a whole different story when riding with Extreme Gear! You see, to be the fastest on a Gear, you have to become one with the wind! Without wings, well, you might as well kiss the ground and go home!” Jet said before leaping into the trees. His laughter could be heard echoing through out the entire cave. “Who does he think he is?!” Geisy shouts. “Hmm... Well I don't think he's all talk, you know; I better be on my toes during this competition.” Blur said. Just then, Wave started to walk past them. “What are you doing here.” Mach said in anger. “I was on way to the race. What’s it to you?” Wave asked. “This couldn’t be anymore perfect. I will be racing as well.” Mach said. “Well then, may the best rider win. And don’t worry, I intend to.” Wave said before headed to the starting line. “Good luck, Mach” Blur said. “I don’t need luck.” Mach said before walking to the starting line. “Will all participants, please report to the starting line to begin the race.” Omochao said over the loudspeaker. Wave and Mach had arrived at the starting line to find that their competition was, once again, a major disappointment. “Man, the competition get lamer with every race.” Wave said. “I don’t think we should waste our time with these amateurs. Here, let me take care of them.” Mach said as he walked over to the other riders. The sound of punches landing and ambulance sirens could be heard from the direction Mach and the riders were was. “He really knows to get his point across, doesn’t he” Wave said as she took her place at the starting line. “Ready! 3...2...1...GO!” Omochao yelled and the race began. Mach and Wave start off by going down the large slope before reaching the ramp. When Wave jumped off the ramp, she decided to show off by performing a front-flip with two right spins before landing. Wave’s tricks somehow had increased her speed and allowed her to take a huge lead ahead of Mach. When Mach had landed, in wasn’t on the ground. Mach had landed on a slick vine that allowed him to grind along it and catch up to Wave. Wave first slowed down and sped back up so that she could make a sharp turn around the corner. Mach followed her example and was able to make the corner like she did. Wave looked back and saw that Mach was only a few feet behind her. “This guy is very persistent for a rat.” Wave said. Wave looked down the track to see that they were both headed towards a ramp that led off the track. Mach changed his direction to avoid the ramp, but Wave was too far ahead to avoid the jump. Wave jumped off the ramp and closed her eyes to await her imminent impact with the ground below her. She opened her eyes when she found that she wasn’t falling at all. It turned out that the ramp flung her into the air and straight into a row of acceleration rings. The rings created a shortcut that allowed her to get ahead of Mach. Mach looked up and saw Wave pass through the vines and onto the next part of the track. Mach quickly jumped onto the vines and grinded across them to catch up with Wave. Wave landed on the ground and looked back to find that Mach was still following close behind. “Doesn’t that rat ever give up?” Wave questioned. Wave looked forward again that she was headed for a cliff. Wave tried to stop, but she was going to fast and flew off. Mach had managed to stop in time and looked down the cliff where Wave had fallen. Just then, a large centipede flew past him and Mach saw that wave was riding on its back. Mach looked down to find another centipede headed his way and jumped on its back to follow Wave up to the higher levels of the cave. Wave jumped off the centipede to continue down the track. Wave looked back and found that Mach was not following her. “It’s about time I got rid off that pest. He was beginning to bug me.” Wave said. As Wave continued down the track, she came to a sharp corner. She slowed down to turn, but when she did, Mach came out of nowhere and passed by her. “What?!” Wave shouted in surprise. Mach was headed down the final stretch and Wave knew that he would win. “Unless...” Wave said with a smirk. Mach was headed down the final ramp that led to a giant spider web. It was obvious that the web was part of the track and that he needed to use it if was going to win. Mach was about to jump when he felt something hard and cold hit him in the back of his head and caused him to lose his balance. Mach got to his knees and looked forward to see Wave holding a huge wrench. Wave jumped the ramp and shouted “Later, chump.” Before bouncing away on the web. Mach was not about to let that bird beat him in a race. Mach released his power rings and clutched them in his hands. “CHAOS CONTROL!” Mach shouted and disappeared. Wave landed back on the ground and was only a few feet away from crossing the finish line. “I knew I couldn’t lose. No rat could beat the Babylon Rogues” Wave celebrated. Then, out of nowhere, Mach appeared in front of her and delivered and hard kick to the side of her head. Wave fell of the Wind and watched as Mach crossed the finish line to win the race. Then, Jet jumped from the trees and ran to Wave’s side. “Wave, are you ok.” Jet asked. “I’m fine. The only thing that hurts is my pride.” Wave said. Jet looked to Mach, who was celebrating with his team, with eyes full of hate. “I promise, I’ll make him regret what he did.” Jet said. | |

| In the middle of a vast desert, a large roman style coliseum was in the middle of it, playing as the starting line for the final race. Just outside the coliseum, Jet and Wave were sitting near the old ruins, waiting for Storm to arrive. To Jet’s relief, Storm had finally arrived, riding the Hurricane towards them. “Boss! Sorry to keep you waiting for me!” Storm yelled. Storm grinded to a halt, and falls off the Hurricane to land on his face. “How'd it go?” Jet asked. Storm stands up and shows the small disk that he took from Eggman’s base. “Take a look at this, boss!” Storm said. “Gimme!” Wave said as she took the disk out of Storm’s hand. Wave removes her necklace and turns it to show a small slot in it. It turned out that Wave’s necklace was actually a small portable computer. Wave placed the disk inside the necklace and then projects a holographic screen from it. “Uh-huh. Yes. Hmm? Is this...?” Wave muttered, leaving the others confused. “What is it?” Jet asked. "It's an entry in Eggman's diary. It's about the Babylon treasure from our ancient ancestors.” Wave said as she showed the entry to Jet. Jet looks at the entry and begins to read it out loud. "Hahahaha! I got those birdbrains to believe that Babylon treasure was just a gem. I can't believe they fell for it! What fools! Can you believe the REAL treasure is the ancient, but advanced technology of the Babylonians? What irony! I've found a story about a boy who received an Angel Wing from the Babylonians as a gift. The story says that with it, the boy was able to rule the world. And this was just a gift! I'm anxious to find this technology as soon as possible. Imagine the vast possibilities of the technology they must have kept for themselves. Hehehehehe!” “Aw man, I guess it's not a gem after all...” Storm whined. Jet pick up the Wind Rider and starts to walk away from the coliseum. "Oh well; guess this was just a wasted effort. Too bad, really; I haven't the slightest interest in world domination or advanced technology.” Jet said. “Hey, wait a second, okay Jet? While Eggman may not look smart, he is; he has an IQ of 300 after all. If he's interested in this technology, it must have value.” Wave said. After hearing the word ‘value’, Jet stopped in his tracks and looked back to Wave. “Are you saying there's profit in this?” Jet asked. “Think about it; it may be more valuable than finding silver or gold!” Wave said. Upon hearing this, Jet was sent into his little own dream world. In Jet’s daydream, he was standing on a mountain of gold, laughing his heart out. But his dream was ruined when an annoying beeping sound had reached Jet’s ears. “Why'd you do that? I was just having this great daydream.” Jet complained. Wave stopped the beeping and said “Come on Jet, it's time to go back to the race” Wave said. “Alright, let's finish this; then we'll finally get the treasure of Babylon!” Jet shouted as they raced off to the coliseum. “Now, our race has reached its final stage. The remaining competitors are pacing, anxious for the race to begin. Only a few minutes left. Who will win this big event?” Omochao said over the loudspeakers. “Mach! Congratulations! I'll be over here, cheering you on!” Kumori said. But Mach paid no attention to her as he was locked in a staring contest with Jet, who had arrived a few minutes ago. Then, Eggman’s ugly mug appeared on the large television screen. “And now, it's time for the final event! And it's set here... in Sand Ruins! The rules are still the same; anything goes in this extreme race! Although it needs no further explanation, the first one to reach the goal will win this race! But remember, the prize will be won by the racer who's performed the best throughout this competition!” Eggman said. Blur and Jet walk up a large flight of stair to reach an alter holding five chaos emerald. Blur pulls out his yellow emerald, while Jet pulls out his light-blue emerald. "Hah, you're lucky you got this far. It obviously wasn't due to your, “skills."” Jet mocked Blur. “Heh, I won't lose now.” Blur said with confidence. Both Blur and Jet place their chaos emeralds down on the alter and return to the bottom to take their places at the starting line with Geisy and Mach. “Get ready; it's time for the final race to begin!” Eggman yelled. “Ready! 3...2...1...GO!” Omochao yelled and the final race began. On go, the four final riders shot out of the coliseum and into the harsh desert. At first it seemed like a normal trek through the desert. But then, stone pillars popped out of the ground and caught the riders by surprise. Blur, Jet and Mach were able to avoid the pillars, but Geisy wasn’t so lucky. One of the pillars popped out from under her and caused her and the Dark Mach to be thrown right back into the coliseum and out of the race. The three remaining riders had reached a small ramp and jumped off it. Jet and Blur decided to show off to each other and perform difficult tricks in mid-air. But while the two were goofing off in the air, Mach landed to the ground and took the lead. When Blur and Jet landed, Mach had already turned the corner and took a small lead. Blur then sneaked past him, putting Jet in last place. “I am not going to lose to the likes of them!” Jet shouted. Jet knew this territory more then anyone, which meant he also knew all the shortcuts around it. Jet jumped on to a hidden rail and disappeared behind a waterfall of sand. Mach and Blur were have a difficult time as sand kept falling from the high cliff and landing straight on them. Out of nowhere, Jet jumped out of the sand waterfall and jumped ahead of Blur, but was still behind Mach. After making it through the sand, the three riders jumped off a small ramp allowed them to jump a large trench and make it safely to another part of the track. The three were now in some kind of strange temple and Mach still held a strong lead. “Now’s the perfect opportunity to show off my secret weapon.” Jet thought. Jet then pulls out two fans with green feather and swings them behind him to pick up speed. Once Jet was right next to Mach, he swung the fans at him and knocked him off his balance. Jet laughed as he took the lead. Blur had passed Mach and looked angry at the bird. “You’re going to pay for that!” Blur yelled. Jet looks back to Blur and yells “Ha, I really doubt that!” Jet then turned around and crash, face first, into an egg-shaped statue. Blur passed Jet, laughing, as he took the lead. Jet pried himself of the statue and used his fans to catch up to Blur. Blur and Jet made a sharp turn as pillars came out of the ground to form a wall. They both found an opportunity to pass the wall of pillars and took it. Now Jet and Blur reached the final room, which held four large crossbows. Blur and Jet jumped onto the crossbows as they winded themselves back and shot the two riders back out into the desert, with the coliseum just up ahead. The two were making their way to coliseum with Blur still in first place. “No!!” Jet yelled. Unknown to either of them, Wave was hiding behind the ruins, waiting to see who was winning. When Blur passed her, she pulled out a remote control and pushes the button on it. under the Blur Star, the device Wave pushed earlier activated and shut down the Blur Star’s engines, just as Blur was about to reach the finish line. Blur’s board fell to the ground as Jet passed him and crossed the finish line to win the race. Blur got back to his knees and looked up to see Jet holding the Jester, smiling down on him. “Ah, the dirt suits you so well.” Jet torments Blur more. Blur was about to say that he cheated, but then remembered that anything goes in this race. Jet hopped on the Jester and rides up to the stairs with the chaos emeralds. Jet then raises the crystal box into the air and the seven chaos emerald react and float above his head. Each of the seven chaos emeralds shoot out a small of light at the crystal box, which created a small sphere of light inside it. the sphere of light shoots out a another beam of light, that was aimed in the middle of the desert. When the light disappeared the Earth began to rumble as a section of the Earth erupted. Out of that eruption, a floating land of ruin appeared before Jet. “This... this is... Babylon Garden...” Jet said in amazement. But while Jet was dazed by the sight of the Babylon Garden, a small crane came out of nowhere and stole the crystal box, right out of his hand. It took a while, but Jet then noticed that the crystal box was missing. “Hohohohoho! Now I'll get the Treasure of Babylon!” Eggman said as he was riding his Eggmobile. “Oh no, you don’t!” Kumori yelled as she dropped from the sky and began to pull on Eggman’s mustache. “Unhand my mustache, you little monster!” Eggman shouted as he clumsily drove the Eggmobile to Babylon Garden. “Eggman!” Jet yelled in anger. “Mach! Geisy! We got to get Eggman!” Blur yelled as the three cahsed after Eggman. Back in Future City, reports of Babylon Garden were spreading fast. “Newsflash: A mysterious airborne object has just appeared above the site where the Ex World Grand Prix is being held. Apparently Blur and his friends have gone to investigate. We'll try and get more details right after this important announcement.” The announcer said. On top of one of the many city buildings, White Horror, in his eye form, was watching the report along side his mysterious savior. “So that is the legendary Babylon Garden?” White Horror asked. “Yes, it is.” The mysterious person replied. “Mach has gone to that place. This is a perfect opportunity.” White Horror said. “Not yet. I promise you will have your revenge, White Horror. But now, all we must do, is wait and watch. When the battle is over, we shall take what it is we seek from that place. The legendary evil Erazor Djinn” The mysterious person said before he and White Horror vanished inside a small worm hole. | |

| After Eggman betrayed them, Jet and Blur put aside their differences to chase after Eggman and get the crystal box back. Jet was piloting the Babylon’s airship over Babylon Garden, looking to see if they could spot Eggman from the sky. “Look! There he is!” Geisy shouted as she pointed out the window. Everyone looked out the window and saw Eggman riding some kind of motorcycle type of gear around the track. “I found you!” Blur shouted. Blur was about leave the room and chase down Eggman until. “Wait.” Mach said. Blur turned back around and Mach threw a new type of gear that looked similar to the Blur Star, only more sleek and sturdy then before. Blur catches the new gear and Mach says “Use this. It could help you out there on the track.” “What is it?” Blur asked. “It’s a new type of gear I created from Mercury, the Blur Star II. Just in case you were stupid enough to break the old one I made.” Mach said. “Always thinking ahead, aren’t ya Mach. Thanks a lot bro.” Blur said before running out of the room. Blur jumped off the airship and prepared to land on his new gear, the Blur Star II. But while Blur was freefalling towards Babylon Garden, Jet came out of nowhere with the Jester and fell along side Blur. “Jet?” Blur questioned. Blur and Jet both land on the garden and race down the track. “You can't catch up with him loser! Get out of my way right now!” Jet yelled. “Is that what you think? Take a look at this! I'll show you what true speed really is cause I’m the fastest thing alive!” Blur shouted back. After that point they forgot all about Eggman and challenged each other to one last race to decide who is truly the best rider. Blur and Jet start their race by heading down large slope before reaching a small ramp. While in the air, Jet performed two right spins and a back-flip before landing on the ground. Blur did two left spins and a front-flip before landing on the ground. At the first turn, Blur moved closer to the corner and took the lead, catching Jet by surprise. While Jet was too busy watching Blur, he didn’t notice that he was headed towards a small half-pipe. Jet was launched into the air and just when he thought he was done for, the Jester lands on a hidden rail and allows Jet to grind along it. Blur was in the lead and looked back to find that Jet wasn’t following him anymore. “Don’t tell me I lost him already.” Blur said arrogantly. Just then, Jet jumped out of nowhere and landed only a few inches in front of Blur. Jet’s sudden landing in front of him, nearly making Blur fall off the Blur Star II, but he manages to stay on. Jet and Blur passed though a stone archway and were sent into a loop made through the track. After leaving the loop, Jet and Blur made a turn around the corner. “Emergency alert! Emergency alert! Prepare to repel all intruders!” “What was that?” Jet asked. Then suddenly, large and advanced aircrafts came from the sky and began shooting down on Jet and Blur. The sudden attack caught Jet and Blur by surprise and they did everything they could to avoid being hit. But then one of the aircrafts fired a missile at the track and completely destroyed it. Jet and Blur now realized that they now had nowhere to go. The track was broken ahead of them and the aircrafts were chasing them from behind. They both realized that they had to make a choice. Either they fall off the track and hope to stay alive or to stop and be shot down by the aircrafts behind them. They chose to fall. Jet and Blur flew off the track and silently prayed for their lives. To their surprise, they didn’t fall to the ground. The two noticed that they were both riding on the air itself, almost as if they were flying. “How are we doing this?” Blur asked. “It looks like we’re riding on turbulence.” Jet said. “Turbulence?” Blur asked. “Wave said it’s some sort of invisible track created by the winds that allows our gear to go faster.” Jet said. “How does that work?” Blur asked. “How should I know?!” Jet yelled back. They rode the turbulence until they were high above the clouds. But when they were above the clouds, the turbulence ended and forced Jet and Blur out in the open air. “This isn’t a good thing, is it?” Blur asked. “What do you think?” Jet replied sarcastically. Jet and Blur fell fast as the plummeted towards the ground. Fortunately for them, a random aircraft flew right under them and allowed them to hitch a ride it. the aircraft led them to another section of the track and jumped off. Jet was still holding his lead ahead of Blur and made a spiraling turn around the track with Blur close behind. When the track straightens out again, the aircrafts come back again and started to fire on the two once more. “Oh, come on. Give me a break!” Jet complained. One of the aircrafts fired a missile at the track again to make a huge gap. Jet was able to go around it, but Blur decided to jump it. Blur jumped the gap and landed in front of jet to cross their made up finish line. When Blur crossed the finish line, he screeched to a halt and looked back to Jet. Blur's sudden jump in front of him caused Jet to lose his balance and fall off the Jester, sending him spiraling into the air and on the ground. “Even without wings, I can still fly! Right?” Blur said. Jet banged his fist to the ground, angered that he had lost to someone who only learned how to ride Extreme Gear over a week ago. Blur left Jet and rode off to the center of Babylon Garden. In the center of Babylon Garden, Eggman was holding the crystal box in front of a stone door with ancient Babylon marking. “I finally found you, Eggman.” Blur said as he jumped off the Blur Star II and walked closer to Eggman. But then, Eggman reaches into a bush and pulls out Kumori. “Haha! Look before you move!” Eggman said. “Kumori? How did you get caught?” Blur asked. “I’m still trying to figure that part out myself.” Kumori replied. It was then that Jet decided to show up. “Now then... just be a good hedgehog and stay still.” Eggman said. As Eggman moved closer to the door with the crystal box, Blur thought now was the best time to take action. “Now!!” Blur yelled. Blur jumped on the Blur Star II and disappears in a dash of wind. “Can you catch the wind?” Blur’s voice echoed. “What?! Where are you?!” Eggman yelled. “I'm here!” Blur then crashes down on to Eggman, sending him and Kumori in spiraling in a spiraling gust of wind. Blur catches the crystal box and throws it to Jet. Jet catches it, but was still angry at losing to Blur. Blur landed on the ground in front of Jet. It was at that time that Mach, Geisy, Wave and Storm had arrived. “Hmph! I lost. So don't play games with me. I don't want your pity, nor do I need it!” Jet said as he held out the crystal box to Blur. “Wha-? Are you crazy? If they don't want it, then let's take it. Treasure is treasure.” Wave said as she took the crystal box out of Jet’s hand. Jet was still angry, but shrugged it off as he and his teammates walked to the stone door. “I think we better leave too.” Blur said. As the group turns to leave, they could hear Kumori from behind. And she sounded angry. “BLUR!” Kumori yelled furiously. Blur turned his head slowly and was scared out of his wits as he looked at the furious Kumori. “You knew I was there. And you still dived at Eggman?” Kumori asked. “Uh...yeah. Well I thought maybe I’d only get Eggman.” Blur replied. Big Mistake Blur. Kumori looked to Blur with anger in her eyes and began to chase him. “I’m going to kill you, Blur Journey Blazer!” Kumori yelled. Blur tried to hide behind his teammates, but they quickly moved out of his way. “Sorry, Blur. But even I am afraid of Kumori when she is like this.” Mach said. Without anyone to hide behind, Blur ran for his life. | |

| Jet, Wave and Storm were standing in front of the stone door that led to the treasure they had been looking all over for years. “Okay; let's go!” Jet said. Jet raises the crystal box to the stone door and a bright light shines from within it. As the door opens, Jet and his crew stare in amazement as a golden ray of light hits them. The door opens to reveal a large golden chamber with another stone door at the other end of it. Back outside with Blur and his friends, Kumori was still chasing Blur around Babylon Garden while Mach and Geisy were watching from a safe spot. The chase was soon ended when a strange and thunderous roar echoed through out all of Babylon Garden. Blur looked towards the direction of the sound to find that the roar was coming from the center, where Jet and his teammates went. "Hmm, finally something interesting.” Blur said. Back with the Babylon Rogues, Jet, Wave and Storm were crossing to the other side of the room on their gear and passed through the second door. The room beyond the door seemed be an enormous and endless corridor. The mysterious roar returned again and the Rogues looked back to see the stone door close behind them. “Great! How are we get out, now?!” Wave asked. “You don’t, you greedy fools.” A booming voice came from behind them. They Babylon Rogues look back to find a large, hulking purple genie wearing a red and gold vest and a golden tribal necklace. They group looks down to his feet and see that he doesn’t have any. The entire lower half of his body was nothing but a golden lamp. “Who are you?” Jet asked. “I am Erazor Djinn. I am the one who protects the ancient treasure of the Babylon.” “Well, you aren’t needed anymore. I am Jet the Hawk, the leader of the Babylon Rogues and we have come for the treasure.” Jet said. “Do you have proof that you are the leader?” Erazor Djinn asked. Jet then pulls out the crystal box and shows it to Erazor Djinn. The Babylon just stares at the crystal box for a moment and then begins to laugh. “Did I miss the joke?” Storm asked. “Finally, after 3000 years, I will have my revenge!” Erazor Djinn yells. “Revenge?” Jet asked. “3000 years ago, the leader of the Babylon Rogues trapped me in this prison, forcing me to protect their treasure. But now, I will take revenge upon them, by killing you, Jet the Hawk.” Erazor Djinn proclaims. “This is bad.” Jet said Erazor Djinn opened his mouth and spat out a great big ball of fire. “Move!!!” Jet shouted to his teammates. The three scatter into different directions as the fireball crashed and burned. Wave looked back and found that Erazor Djinn was chasing her. Erazor Djinn suddenly summons a long chain and ties it around Wave’s legs. Wave fell off the Wind and looked up to see Erazor Djinn was floating over her. Erazor Djinn summons a smaller fireball in his hand and throws it at Wave. Wave closed her eyes to await a burning death. But the attack never came. Wave opened her eye and saw Jet using the Jester to block the attack. Jet was able to save Wave, but the force of the attack sent Jet flying ten feet back. “JET!” Wave yelled as she and Storm ran to his side. Wave held the injured Jet in her arms and asked “What were you thinking?” “I was thinking of saving the most important person to me.” Jet said weakly. “You idiot.” Wave said, with tears ready to fall. Erazor Djinn was hovering over the two during their tender moment. “Aww, a love interest. Too bad it won’t last much longer.” Erazor Djinn said. Erazor Djinn raised his hand and summoned another fireball in his hand and was about to throw it until. “CHAOS WIND!” “CHAOS SPEAR!” Erazor Djinn looked over and saw a Yellow sphere and Purple arrows headed his way. Erazor Djinn held his hand out to block the attacks like they were nothing. Then, Blur, Mach, Geisy and Kumori appeared in front of the Rogues using Mach’s chaos control. “Hey guys, looks like you could use a hand.” Blur said. “We could use all the help we can get.” Jet said as he weakly stood up. “If you fools really think you can beat me. Then let us find out.” Erazor Djinn said. Erazor Djinn waved his hand and the corridor was replaced by a hazardous race track. “Let the contest begin.” Erazor Djinn said. The seven riders jumped on their Extreme Gear and chased after Erazor Djinn. “We have to defeat that thing if we want to get out of here.” Mach said. “But how do we do that?” Storm asked. “Leave that to me.” Geisy said as she raced ahead. “Geisy! Wait!” Blur yelled. Geisy raced towards Erazor Djinn, but Erazor Djinn just swings her away. When Erazor Djinn knocked Geisy away, the Dark Mach was sent flying at his lamp. The Dark Mach crashed into the lamp and cracked it, causing Erazor Djinn great pain. “That lamp, it must be his weakness.” Wave said. “Then let give him all we got.” Blur said as he and Mach raced ahead of the group. Blur formed and Yellow sphere in his hand and Mach summoned over ten Purple arrows. “CHAOS WIND!” “CHAOS SPEAR!” they both shout. But Erazor Djinn swats the attacks away and redirects them towards the one that created them. The attacks hit directly and caused Blur and Mach to fall. “I am tired of these games. Now to finish this.” Erazor Djinn said. Erazor Djinn raises both of his hands into the air and creates a large sphere of white energy. “I’ll take care off this.” Jet said as he raced ahead of the group. “Jet, don’t!” Wave yelled, but it was useless. Erazor Djinn threw the white energy at Jet and landed a direct hit. “NO!!!” Wave yelled as she watched Jet be killed by the white energy. “It is finished.” Erazor Djinn said. The white energy was gone and all that was left was a large pile of smoke. And to everyone’s surprise and happiness, Jet flew out from the smoke, severely injured, but still alive. “What?! But how?!” Erazor Djinn asked. Jet redirected to course of the Jester and landed directly on Erazor Djinn’s lamp, smashing it. “NO!!!” Erazor Djinn yelled as he disappeared in a ray of light and was replaced by a treasure chest. Everyone walked up to the chest as Blur and Jet opened it up. “Oh, its-” everyone said. Just then, Eggman came in, holding two guns to the group. “Too awestruck by the treasure to notice me, eh?” Eggman said. Everyone looked back to find Eggman. “Eggman?” Blur questioned. “Now hand over the treasure!” Eggman demanded. At that, the entire group laughed. “Wh-what's so funny? Hand over the treasure right now!” Eggman demands again. “Okay, catch!” Jet said as he threw the treasure to Eggman. Eggman catches the treasure and it turns out to be a carpet. “Hehehehehe! The Treasure of Babylon is finally mine! Huh? What IS this thing? A piece of cloth...?” Eggman said confused. Eggman unrolled the carpet and a small note fell from it. Eggman picked up the letter and read it out load. “At long last we've created our ultimate invention. With this, our lives will be easier, without the need to work so hard to keep ourselves flying. Stolen, the 13th leader of the Babylon Rogues." Eggman looks at the carpet again and says “It's amazing! The carpet's rich texture is a sight to behold! And the way it feels is extraordinary. Something such as this could only have been created in Babylon. Undoubtedly, this carpet will be in high demand from all around the world. But... But what's this? No way... I went to the trouble of holding the World Grand Prix for... f-f-for this? I-I can't believe I just wasted my time for THIS piece of junk!” realizing this, Eggman faints. Mach walks up to the carpet and inspects it. “Hmm, what's this?” Mach ponders out loud. “Good eyes. Didn't think you'd spot it for a second” Wave said. “Hey, what're you talking about?” Blur asked. “This isn't just a piece of fabric.” Wave said. “Right. Take a look at the material; it's the same stuff we use for OUR Extreme Gear!” Mach said. “You don’t say.” Jet said. Jet pulls out his crystal box and it starts to glow. Suddenly, the carpet begins to fly off the ground and hovers off just above their heads. “Hey, is that...” Kumori asked. “Not sure, but maybe it's a prototype Gear.” Wave said. “A magic carpet? I thought that those only existed in fiction.” Blur said. “That's quite funny, actually. I never imagined that we Babylonians could be descendants of real genies.” Jet said. Out in the desert, the seven riders watch the Babylon Garden float from a distance. “So, you're leaving this place?” Blur asked. Yeah. The back of the carpet has more words of wisdom. It says, "This was invented to allow Babylonians to travel all over the world to gather treasure." Some things never change, huh? But enough of this friendly banter, Blur; you better make sure you're ready when we meet face-to-face once again.” Jet said. “You bet!” Blur said. “Come on, Jet. It's time to split.” Wave said. Storm pushes Wave and says “Hey, I wanted to say that!” “Come on, Blur. We have to go too.” Mach said. Jet and Blur toss their boards in the air; leaping onto them, they move directly opposite each other. Curving back around, they jump through the sky, passing each other; creating an "X". They look back at each other one last time, smirking. Storm passes Jet, while Wave rides next to him. “You may not have won, but you’re still a winner to me.” Wave said, kissing him on his cheek. Wave rides ahead and Jet looks back one last time. “You may be fastest, for now... but I'll be back, Blur Journey Blazer!” Jet said one last time as he and his team left for their next adventure. Back at the endless corridor, White Horror and the mysterious person appeared through a worm hole. White Horror looks into the empty chest and says “It looks like we are too late. The treasure of Babylon has already been taken.” “I never said anything about the treasure being our target.” The mysterious person said. White horror looked at the person, confused. The mysterious person then holds out his hand and Erazor Djinn’s lamp reformed in his hand. “I may have some use for you.” the mysterious person said as he gave out a cold, chilling laugh. --------------1 Week Later----------------- The mysterious figure started to rub it. In a puff of black smoke, Erazor Djinn fell to the ground on his knees. “You have failed, Erazor Djinn.” White Horror said. “Who said he failed.” The mysterious person said. “Huh?” White Horror and Erazor Djinn questioned. “I never expected you to win, Erazor. All I wanted for you to do was to free yourself from your shell. Now that the there are 3 of us are together, there is only one more person needed to complete our little group.” The mysterious person said. “And who is this last person we need.” White Horror asked. “Let’s just say, this is going to be a hell of a time.” The mysterious person said as he gave a spine chilling laugh. | |

| The Prolouge part 5 of 10: The Element Warrior of the future
It has been twenty four years since Blur and his friends raced across the legendary Babylon Garden and things have only gotten worse since then. Eggman had perished in a cataclysmic explosion, taking Wing, Alexis and all of Future City with him. Rock died from an unknown disease that was said to be caused by long exposure to an attack of Dark energy. Devastated by Rock’s death, Jasmine went into a state of sorrow and died of broken heart. Shadow was assassinated by an unknown assailant and Kumori went missing. Geisy was never seen again and Blur was destroyed while frozen. And that wasn’t even the worst of it. For reasons unknown, the entire world was slowly being incased away by an eternal icicle that could not be melted. Now, twenty four years later, the world was dark and bleak with no hope of living. The skies were always black and the city was covered in ice and frost. But floating high above the ice was the final hope of the world ever returning to peace. This final hope was a 14 year old light blue hedgehog who looked alot like Blur. He had Blue eyes. He wore white gloves with Blue Rings, along with a shirt the had the moon in a cresent shape on the sun and only a few of the suns rays leaked out and jean shorts. He also had converse all-star sneakers. He was Blitz Spirit ?????(He doesn’t know his last name yet, and if I told you that would be a gigantic spoiler), the elemental hero of the future. Blitz was using his psychokinetic powers to float around the city to search for his most hated enemy “This world was devastated before I was born. A harsh, bleak place. Where we are forced to live in eternal fear and darkness. Life is a struggle and over 1000000 people live on without hope. How did this happen? No one has the will to answer me directly. But they always point...to the souls. Which tells me only one thing; 'Solatist the Souls of Disaster' At least I think that's what they try to say.” Blitz narrated. While Blitz was floating, a large spike of ice erupted from the surface of the earth in front of him. Using his pyrokinetic powers, Blitz created a screw of fire to get rid of the spike. “These souls. They freeze away at my world, destroying everything in there path. They come from that eternal life form that we cannot truly defeat. The souls of disaster known as Solatist that I mentioned a moment ago. Only a few people fight against Solatist, but many have already fallen to it's might, the only ones left are me and my best friend.” Blitz continued his narration. “Blitz!” A female voice called out his name. Blitz looked to the side to see a young female jumping across the buildings rooftops. The female was a 14 year old Blue hedgehog with some of her quills bunched together in a pony tail with bangs. She wore a black shirt that had a heart on it, a White skirt, white gloves, and Purple sneakers that have a glowy thing at the back of the solls. She was Sheila, the icekinetic heroine of the future and Blitz’s best friend. “Sheila! What’s wrong?” Blitz questioned. “It's appeared again.” Sheila said as she pointed to the direction she came from. With a look of determination in his eyes, Blitz controlled the wind around him and flew off into the direction that Sheila pointed with Sheila following close behind. After flying over the entire City, Blitz found himself staring at a large tornado of ice that had erupted from the earth. Sheila jumped down from the building she was on and landed next to Blitz. “So, where is he?” Blitz asked. “he's here. I can feel it.” Sheila said calmly. Just then, several tiger like creature made of Ice and rock called Biters jumped out of the tornado and landed in front of Blitz and Sheila. “Told you he was here.” Sheila said. The Biters jumped at the duo, But Blitz used his psychokinetic powers to push them back. “Come on, you frozen beasts!” Blitz yelled at the Biters. Unknown to Blitz, a group of ice birds called Takers flew behind and dived right at him. “Blitz! Behind you!” Sheila warned. Blitz looked back at Takers that were diving at him, but he too busy holding the Biters to defend himself. Seeing that her friend was in danger, Sheila used her icekinetic ability to cover her entire body in ice and leaps off the ground. In the air, Sheila held her hand out and twirled into a frosty tornado to strike at the Takers and destory them. Seeing that he was safe, Blitz shocked the Biters and destroyed them. “You really need to watch your back, Blitz.” Sheila said to him. “I can’t do everything on my own.” Blitz told her. “I know that, but it would make me fell better if I knew that weren’t always in danger.” Sheila said. “Do you not realize it by now, Sheila?! Every seond of our lives is filled with danger and if we don’t take a risk, we will all die!” Blitz yelled in anger. Sheila held her head down in sadness. It was not often that Blitz would yell at Sheila with so much anger. Something must be upsetting him. After seeing that his words had hurt Sheila, Blitz was about to apologize until he noticed that the frozen tornado had disappeared. Sheila then snapped out of her sad state and says “he’s here!” Just then, a large humanoid monster made of ice and souls with four long arms and an armored demon head appeared from the lava like ice below. It was Solatist, the souls of disaster. Solatist gave out a mighty roar as he was once again faced with his infuriating enemy, Blitz. “Come on you monster!” Blitz challenged Solatist started attacking by opening its chest and launching a barrage of fireballs. Blitz fired a jet of water that extinguished every fireball before it got near. “Blitz! Aim for the the armored head! That has to be its weak point!” Sheila shouted to Blitz. “Got it!” Blitz shouted back. Solatist once again released a barrage of fireballs from its chest, but this time, Blitz used his psychokinetic powers to catch them in midair. “I think these belong to you!” Blitz shouted as he threw the fireballs back at Solatist head. Solatist roared in pain as his own attack backfired. “Take that!” Blitz boasted. Angered by Blitz, Solatist grabbed at the roads next to him and broke off a section of each. “I can tell that is not good.” Blitz said. Solatist then threw the section of road directly on Blitz. Blitz tried to stop it with his psychokinetic powers, but the road was too heavy to hold and Blitz was a sitting duck. Before the road could fall on Blitz, Sheila jumped out of nowhere and pushed Blitz away in time. Blitz saw that he was safe, but Sheila was not so lucky. To save Blitz, Sheila had to take the hit for him and was buried underneath the rubble. Blitz quickly ran to her side and asks “Sheila, are you all right?!” “Blitz, I’m...alright.” Sheila said weakly before she blacked out. Blitz was now furious. Solatist had nearly killed his best friend and was not about to let this monster get away with it. Using his rage to fuel his psychokinetic powers, Blitz lifted all the rubble off of Sheila and lunged it at Solatist head. The combined force of the attack broke off all the armor around Solatist head. Blitz picked up the knocked out Sheila in his arms and set her down in a safe location away from Solatist. “I promise, I won’t let anything happen to you.” Blitz said quietly to Sheila before running back to fight Solatist. Blitz had returned to finish off what was left of Solatist. “I am going to make you pay for what you did, you monster!” Blitz yelled at the beast of ice. Solatist reeled back it's ugly head before throwing it back to breath a large stream of electricity at Blitz. Blitz used his electric powers to create a magnetic field to absorb the electricity. With a quick motion of his hand, a stalawcite(like a stalagmite, only on the wall, hence the W) landed dead center at Solatist head to stop his attack. Blitz collapsed to his knees from exhastion while he watched Solatist sink back into the ice, defeated. Blitz has able to gather enough strength to get back to his feet when Sheila had returned. “It looks like you stopped him for now.” Sheila said to Blitz. “Yeah, but he’ll just rise up again like it always does.” Blitz said as he banged his fist into a nearby pole. “What’s the point of all this? It’ll probably never end.” Blitz said hopelessly. Sheila had figured that was the reason why Blitz had been acting strange lately. It was hard to imagine, the very person that had given her hope was now losing his. “Calm down, Blitz.” Sheila said calmly to her companion. “Then tell me what we should do. How can we completely destroy Solatist?” Blitz questioned. “By knowing the truth, of course.” A shadowy voice came from behind. Blitz and Sheila turned around and looked up the rubble to find the mysterious newcomer. The newcomer appeared to be exactly like Shadow, only he was black with grey streaks and had bangs. “Just as a flower comes from a seed or a chicken from an egg, everthing has an origin.” The Shadow copy said. “You need to find the being originally responsible for this catastrophe, The soul trigger.” The Shadow copy continued. “Is that really the answer to our problem? Tell me, do you know who it is?” Blitz asked. The Shadow copy stared at Blitz for a moment before jumping down in front of him. “To fix this current timeline, you need to change the past first.” The Shadow copy said. “But, that’s impossible.” Blitz stated. “With my help, you can. You see, I hold the power to travel through time itself.” The Shadow copy said. “No way!” Blitz said in disbelief. “To change the past, you must first eliminate the idividual responsible for freeing Solatist in the first place. The Soul Trigger.” The Shadow copy said. “If I eliminate that guy, will our world be saved?” Blitz asked. The Shadow copy nodded his head and says “The Day of Disaster. It was that day, 24 years ago, that Solatist was freed from his seal. And you have this person to blame for it.” The Shadow copy then handed the purple chaos emerald to Blitz. Blitz grabbed the chaos emerald and soon saw an image of Blur standing in the middle of a field of flames appeared in his mind. “I see it! So, that purple hedgehog is the Soul Trigger?” Blitz questioned. “That purple hedgehog...he looks alot like you Blitz.” Sheila explained; Blitz was wondering himself why the hedgehog looked like him. “I will send us back in time. To the point where the Soul Trigger was alive.” The Shadow copy said as he created a ball of purple energy in his hands. The purple energy soon expanded to cover all three of them before they disappeared. Unknown to any of them, White Horror, Erazor Djinn and their mysterious master were watching the entire plot unfold. “You must be joking! You can't expect me to believe that you are going to bring Shadow into our ranks!” White Horror said in anger, remembering the day Shadow sent his brother to hell. “That wasn’t Shadow.” Their mysterious master said. “Then who was it?” Erazor Djinn asked. “That was the demon of shadows the 2nd son of the evil Mephiles, Selihpem The Dark, or he likes to be called, Selih.” their mysterious master said as he gave out his signature spine chilling laugh.

| In the abandon Jungle ruins outside Soleanna, a ball of purple energy appeared and Blitz jumped out from it. “Where am I?” Blitz asked as he examined his new surroundings. It wasn’t long until Blitz noticed that neither Sheila nor Selihpem was with him. “Sheila? Sheila, where are you?!” Blitz called out to his friend, but she was nowhere to be found. “I guess we all got separated.” Blitz concluded. Without Sheila around, Blitz began to feel insecure about himself. His mind then trailed off when he took another look at his surroundings. “This is so amazing.” Blitz said. Everything was bright and flourishing; unlike the world he lived in the future, where it was always dark and had the scent of death loomed. “To save all this, I must fight to protect the future.” Blitz said with determination. Blitz tried to use his psychokinetic powers on himself to levitate across the jungle, but for some reason, he was only able to float three feet in the air before dropping back down to the ground. “What the?” Blitz questions. Blitz then looks to a large boulder on the other side and tries to test his psychokinetic powers by lifting it. As he expected, he was able to lift the boulder with no problem at all. He then tried to pick up a second boulder, but suddenly felt a great strain in his mind and it was too much for him to handle. Blitz dropped both boulders as he fell to his knees. “My powers. They must have been weakened when I traveled through time." Blitz concluded. "Looks like I'm gonna have to do this the old fashioned way with my super speed.” Blitz said as he ran off into the deeper part of the jungle. Blitz then ran to a small lake with one lotus pad swimming in it. Blitz looked up saw a cliff that might be able to lead him out of the jungle. “But how am I going to get up there when I can’t levitate?” Blitz questioned. While Blitz was thinking, Blitz subconsciously kicked a small pebble to the lake. But the pebble landed on the lotus pad and bounced high up high into the air. That gave Blitz an idea. “I may not have all my powers, but I should have just enough to get me by this crazy maze.” Blitz said. Blitz jumped on the lotus pad and used his psychokinetic powers to hold himself down and launch himself into the air. Blitz landed on the cliff above and turned left to walk down the path. Blitz then found himself facing a wall made of logs with several metal boxes on the side. “Something isn’t right here.” Blitz said suspiciously. Blitz used his gravity powers at the wall to break it down. Blitz walked past the destroyed wall and took a quick glance around for anything that might seem strange to him. A clicking sound soon reached Blitz’s ear and Blitz jumped out of the way as several gunshots were aimed at him. Blitz looked up ahead and saw two white mechs with gun arms aimed at Blitz. “Ok, now that’s strange.” Blitz said. The mechs open fired as the shot at Blitz with there guns. Blitz quickly ducked behind a metal box to avoid it. “So that’s how they want to play, huh?” Blitz said as he put up a shield and charged at the mechs. With the shield, the mechs bullets couldn’t touch Blitz and were crushed when Blitz threw boxes at them. Blitz felt exhausted as he once again overexerted himself. “Darn it. I can't fight the Soul Trigger like this. When will it end” Blitz said, referring to his powers. Blitz looked to the right and saw a log hanging to a tree. “That might help.” Blitz said as he jumped on top of the log. Blitz used his wind powers to pull back the log and let go of it to send him flying across the lake. When Blitz landed he found himself face-to-face with a flying mechs that had four drills sticking out of it. “Wha?” Blitz said to himself. The mech opened a hatch from it's head and fired out a numerous missiles at Blitz. But Blitz fought back by grabbing the missiles with his psychokinetic powers. “I think these are yours.” Blitz said as he threw the missiles straight back to destroy the mech. Then suddenly, a large turtle popped out from under the water and look straight at Blitz. Blitz looked back for a while before he asks “What?” The turtle motions it head to it shell, telling Blitz to jump on it. “This turtle is acting very strange. But right now I could use all the help I can.” Blitz said. Blitz jumped on the turtles shell and the turtle started to swim to another part of the jungle. Blitz took the time to rest on the turtles shell and try to regain all the strength he had lost. Unfortunately for Blitz, the turtle’s ride didn’t last long enough to let him rest. Blitz sat up and saw a thick vine dangling above his head. “I am supposed to climb that?” Blitz asked the turtle. The turtle nodded its head yes. “Note to self. Never ask for help from a turtle.” Blitz said to himslef as he started to climb up the vine. Blitz pulled himself up the wall that the vine was attached to and started blowing on his burning hands. “Who knew you could get burned from climbing a wet vine.” Blitz said as he continued to cool down his hands. But while Blitz was tending to his hands, six flying mechs surrounded Blitz from all sides. Blitz finally took notice of the flying mechs presence and prepared to defend himself. “I really don’t have time for you metal heads.” Blitz said as he used his psychokinetic powers to grab one of the flying mechs and throw it at another mech to destroy them. Another mech fired two missiles at Blitz, but Blitz grabbed them with his psychokinetic powers and hurtled them back at the mech and one other mech. With only two mechs remaining, Blitz grabbed two nearby boxes with his psychokinetic powers and crushed the mechs under the weight. Blitz fell to his knees as he was exhausted. “I don’t...think I can...last much longer.” Blitz said panting. Just as Blitz was ready to drop, two wasp-like mechs and a large muscular mech dropped from out of nowhere. “You have got to be kidding me.” Blitz said. The wasps attacked Blitz with five missiles each, which Blitz caught with his psychokinetic powers. Unfortunately, Blitz was too busy with the missiles to see the large mech run up to him and drive the poor exhausted hedgehog into the ground. Using what strength he had remaining, Blitz redirected the ten missiles into three different directions. One missile was sent to each wasp mech and the other eight were sent directly at the large mech. Fortunately for Blitz, the missiles were strong enough to destroy all of the remaining mech. “I’d say that’s a job well done.” Blitz said weakly before blacking out. But while Blitz was out cold, Selihpem was watching Blitz's entire struggle from the very beginning. “Hmm. Even without all his powers, he seems to be quite strong. Maybe he will be able to kill Blur after all. Just as long as I make sure that he remains separate from that cursed ice freak.” Selihpem said as he started to walk away. In the beautiful beach of Wave Ocean, a purple ball of energy appeared and Sheila jumped out from it. Sheila looked around and found herself standing on a beautiful beach with the ocean lapping at her feet. “So this is the past, huh? It’s more beautiful then I ever imagined, wouldn’t you agree, Blitz?” Sheila asked her companion. No reply came. “Blitz?” Sheila asked again. Sheila looked back and saw that Blitz and Selihpem were no longer with her. “This is bad. I hope Blitz is ok. He’s pretty insecure when he is alone. Please be ok, Blitz.” Sheila prayed silently. “Purple hedgehog. If I find the Soul Trigger, then there is a good chance I’ll find Blitz as well.” Sheila thought. With her target in mind, Sheila walked down the beach to begin her search for the Soul Trigger. | |

| Blitz had woken up from his small coma a few hours back and escaped the savage jungle without anymore problems. Blitz was now in Soleanna, the city of water, hoping he would find the Soul Trigger here. Blitz used his psychokinetic powers to levitate for a short period of time before dropping down onto one of the many towers in the city. “At least some of my powers have returned, but its still might not be enough to defeat the Soul Trigger.” Blitz said frustrated. All of a sudden, the sound of engines reached Blitz’s ear and Blitz looked over toward the sound. To his surprise, when he looked over, he found the person he had been looking for, the Soul Trigger. “I’ve finally found him...The Soul Trigger.” Blitz said as he jumped off the tower. Unfortunately for Blitz, he didn’t notice the red blur headed the direction he was falling to and they both collided with each other. “Ahh!” Blitz shouted as he was bowled over by the unknown person. “Whoa Blur, watch where you’re going next time, will ya.” The person said as he sat up. The person got a good look at Blitz and noticed that he wasn’t Blur. “Hey! You’re not Blur! Watch where your jumping, you idiot!” the person yelled at Blitz. Blitz sat up and saw none other then Geisy. “Why don’t you watch where your running!” Blitz shouted back as he got back to his feet. “You looking for a fight?!” Geisy yelled as she got to her feet. “I don’t have time for this. I have a very important mission and I can’t afford to get side tracked.” Blitz said as he looked back towards the direction the Soul Trigger was. Unfortunately because Blitz as too busy having a "conversation" with Geisy, the Soul Trigger ran off to an unknown location. “Hey! Where’d he go? He must have run off!” Blitz said in frustration. “Uh...were you looking for someone? If you were, I guess it would be my fault for losing him.” Geisy said honestly. “Ah...its okay. I’m sure the guy I’m looking for is still somewhere around here. I’m sure I can still find him” Blitz said calmly to reassure his new friend. “Then I guess I could help you.” Geisy said. “What?” Blitz said in surprise of Geisy’s offer. “I’m looking for someone too. And you know what they say 'two heads are better then one.' If you help me find Blur, I’ll help you find the guy you’re looking for.” Geisy offered. “He does have a point. Finding the Soul Trigger in a place like this could be very difficult. I could use all the help I can get.” Blitz thought. “All right, I’ll help.” Blitz said. “Good. By the way, I’m Geisy.” Geisy introduced herself. “Blitz.” Blitz introduced himself. “Well, Blitz, I suggest we start looking before we lose their trails.” Geisy said as she started dragging Blitz along by his arm. “Hey, wait!” Blitz shouted. Geisy continued to drag Blitz along until they found themselves in the central plaza of Soleanna. “What are we doing here?” Blitz ask as he pried his arm from Geisy’s grip. “The central plaza is filled with all sorts of people who have traveled all over Soleanna.” Geisy explained. “And?” Blitz said, not understanding where Geisy was going with this. “There are bound to be people who have seen Blur and the guy we are looking for.” Geisy continued to explain. “Oh.” Blitz said. “Let’s split up and come back to the fountain in one hour.” Geisy said. “Whatever.” Blitz said as they both ran off in different directions. Blitz started his search by going to a nearby outdoors café. Blitz took a seat at the counter and called to the server. “Hey!” Blitz called out. The server walks in front of Blitz and asks “Can I get you anything, sir.” “No, what I really need is...” Blitz was cut off by the server. “Wait a second! You’re Blur Journey Blazer!” The server shouted. “No, I am not Blur Journey Blazer. My name is Blitz Spirit...well I don't know my last name.” Blitz corrected the server. “Sorry, my mistake.” The server apologized. “Listen, I need information about the whereabouts of a purple hedgehog.” Blitz told him. “I remember hearing one of my customers talking about a blue hedgehog.” The server said. “Where is he?!” Blitz questioned eagerly. “Last I heard, he was in Dusty Desert.” The server told him. Having the information he needed, Blitz jumped out of his chair and ran off, shouting “Thanks!” Geisy decided to start her search at the coastline. Geisy then walks up to a hotdog vendor and says. “Hey. can you help me?” The vendor looked around, but he did see anyone there. “Hello?” the vendor said. “Down here.” Geisy said. The vendor looked down and saw Geisy. “Oh, didn’t see ya there.” The vendor said. “Yeah, whatever. Listen I need information.” Geisy said. “Information? About what?” the vendor asked. “I need to know the location of Blur Journey Blazer.” Geisy said. “Blur Journey Blazer. Yeah, I heard of him. Rumor has it that he is in Dusty Desert.” The vendor said. “And that would be where?” Geisy asked. “Just north of the town.” The vendor answered. “Ok, thanks.” Geisy said before she ran back into town. An hour later, Blitz and Geisy nearly ran into each other again, shouting “I know where he is!” “the guy I’m looking for is in Dusty Desert.” Blitz told Geisy. “Really? that’s where Blur is too.” Geisy said. “That’s good. Now all we have to do is figure out where Dusty Desert is.” Blitz said. “I know. It’s just north of this place.” Geisy said to him. “Then what are we waiting for? Let’s get moving.” Blitz said as he ran off with Geisy following close behind. Blitz and Geisy were exploring the desert and Geisy seemed to be acting very strange. Geisy was jumping all around the place, probably trying to look for Blur. “Hmm...I sense Blur’s presence here. I know he’s here.” Geisy said as she jumped down from a boulder and landed next to Blitz. “How do you know for sure?” Blitz asked. “Just call it my female intuition.” Geisy said. Blitz looked at Geisy like he was crazy and thought “What am I doing with you?” Geisy noticed Blitz’s look and says. “Hey, don’t worry. If the rumors are true, then we’ll find the guy you’re looking in this desert along with Blur.” Blitz shook his head in annoyance, but then seemed to take a great interest in the desert. “This place looks so beautiful compared to where I live.” Blitz said. “What? You mean this entire desert?” Geisy asked. “Everything here is so great here, isn’t it? The sky is gorgeous and everyone’s happy.” Blitz said. “You don’t get out much, do you, Blitz.” Geisy said. “Never mind. Come on, let’s go.” Blitz said as he ran off with Geisy following close behind. Blitz and Geisy soon entered and temple somewhere out in the desert. “Why do you think there is a temple out in the middle of the desert?” Blitz asked. “This doesn’t seem like any ordinary temple.” Geisy said. Just as Geisy said that, several crab-like mechs jump down from the ceiling with four white mechs. “Not these guys again.” Blitz said. “They’re Eggman’s robots.” Geisy said. “Eggman? What the heck does he want with me?” Blitz asked. “Well, if he’s anything like the rest of us. He probably thinks your Blur.” Geisy said. “Augh! Why does everyone think I’m Blur?” Blitz questioned. The crab mechs jumped towards Blitz and Geisy, but the duo jumped out of the way so they would miss. Blitz used his psychokinetic powers to lift a few rocks close to him and threw them at the spider mechs. The mechs didn’t seem harmed by the rock, but the rocks were only used as a distraction. When they weren’t looking, Blitz jumped in the middle of the group and used his electric powers to short-circuit the mechs. Blitz then used his gravity powers to grab hold of the crab mechs and throw them on the ceiling. “It’s good to know I’m getting my powers back.” Blitz said to himself. But while he wasn’t looking, the four white mechs sneaked up behind Blitz and aimed their guns at his head. Blitz heard their guns click and turned around to find one of their guns pointed directly at his forehead. The mech was about to fire when its gun was crushed by an unknown force. “What?” Blitz questioned. All of a sudden, the white mech was lifted off the floor and hurtled at the wall and was destroyed. The other three mechs fired their guns at the spot where the destroyed mech once stood; hoping to hit whatever caused it. All of a sudden, one of the mechs gun arms was forced to change directions and shoot at the other two mechs. When the other two were destroyed, the last mechs head was crushed and fell over. “What the heck just happened?” Blitz questioned. “I happened.” Geisy’s voice came from nowhere. It was at that time that Blitz noticed that Geisy was missing. “Geisy? Where are you?” Blitz asked. His answer soon came when he felt something hit the back of his head. “Hey!” Blitz shouted. “Sorry. I couldn’t resist.” Geisy said as she suddenly appeared out of nowhere. “Would you mind explaining to me what just happened?” Blitz asked. “You like it? It’s my invisibility power I can become invisible for short periods of time.” Geisy said. “Whatever.” Blitz said. Just then, a flying television floated down in front of Blitz and Geisy and Eggman ugly face appeared on the screen. “Blur. I wasn’t expecting you to be back so...” Eggman trailed off as he got a good look at Blitz. “Wait a minute! You’re not Blur!” Eggman shouted. “Finally. Someone figured it out.” Blitz said. “Where is Blur, Eggman?” Geisy demanded. “If you’re looking for Blur, he’s not here. Better luck next time.” Eggman said the TV flew off. “I can’t believe we went through all this for nothing.” Blitz said as he kicked the ground in frustration. But while Blitz was having a fit, Selihpem was high above them, very disappointed in Blitz’s ability to find the Soul Trigger. “This is taking too long. If he doesn’t kill Blur soon, then all my plans will go to waste.” Selihpem said. Selihpem held out his hand and formed a small ball of purple energy in his hand. “Maybe, I could offer him some assistance.” Selihpem said as he threw the ball of energy at Blitz and Geisy. The ball soon expanded and completely covered Blitz and Geisy. “What’s going on?” Geisy asked. “I don’t know.” Blitz answered. They started to struggle for a while before completely disappearing. | |

| In the central plaza of Soleanna, a ball of purple energy appears in the sky with Blitz and Geisy jumping out of it. “Hey! We’re back in Soleanna! But how did we get back here?” Geisy asked. “Selihpem. He must have brought us here.” Blitz said. “Selihpem? Is he a friend of yours?” Geisy asked. “I’m not really sure anymore.” Blitz said. “Well, there has to be a reason he brought us here. I say we split up and look around. Maybe if we're lucky, maybe we’ll find the guys we’re looking for.” Geisy said as she ran off. “Hey! Wait! Ahh...what the point?” Blitz asked himself as he walked off in the opposite direction. Blitz was sitting at the café he had found earlier, thinking about what was going on with Selihpem and the Soul Trigger. “Is Selihpem watching me or something? How did he know I was in Dusty Desert? He must have brought me here because the Soul Trigger is here. But if that’s true, then why doesn’t he destroy it himself. What is Selihpem really planning?” Blitz continually questions in his mind. “Hey, buddy, how have you been. Judging by the look on your face, I guess you didn’t find who you were looking for. Here, on the house” The server said as he placed a glass of water in front of Blitz. “Thanks.” Blitz said as he took a drink of the water. Blitz sets the water down and asks “I don’t understand. How hard can it be to find a purple hedgehog in a place like this?” “A purple hedgehog? I think I saw him.” A man next to Blitz said. Blitz looks to the man and asks “What? Where?”. “A couple of block south from here. I believe he was escorting the princess back to her castle” The man answered. Gaining this new piece of information, Blitz jumped out of his chair and ran in the direction the man told him. Blur was walking around the town of Soleanna with a red haired hedgehog wearing a royal white gown. She was Annalise, the princess of Soleanna. They were just walking until Blur suddenly stops. “What’s wrong, Blur?” Annalise asked. Suddenly, Blur grabs Annalise and jumped away as a green blast of energy nearly hits them. “What was that?” Blur asked. “I’ve been looking for you. You’re the Soul Trigger.” Blitz said as he used his psychokinetic powers to levitate to the ground. “Your actions will condemn us all.” Blitz claimed. Blur sets Annalise down and asks “Who are you?” “My name is Blitz.” Blitz answered. “For the future of the world, I will destroy you!” Blitz exclaimed. “Annalise! Hide!” Blur shouted to Annalise before she ran off to find a safe place to hide. “Come, you monster!” Blitz shouts to Blur. “Hey! Who are you calling a monster?!” Blur says as he jumps into the air. Once in the air, Blur changes into his ball form and used his homing attack on Blitz. But Blitz wasn’t afraid of Blur's attack. Instead, he held out his hand to use his gravity powers to grab hold of Blur and force him out of his ball form. “What?!” Blur exclaims, completely surprised that Blitz could do this. “Do you really think you can stop me with such weak attacks?” Blitz said confidently. Blitz then holds out his other hand to pick up a nearby table with his psychokinetic powers. Blitz threw the table at Blur, which sent him flying and crashed into a nearby wall and got stuck there trapping Blur in his place. It had become painfully obvious to Blur that he couldn’t win against Blitz. Blitz walks over to the defeated Blur. “Humph! Is this a joke? How could someone like you cause the destruction of our world?” Blitz asks. “What do you mean?” Blur questions. “It doesn’t matter. For the future of the world, the Soul Trigger must be destroyed!” Blitz Exclaimed. Blitz raises his hand to finish off Blur until he felt someone send a powerful kick to his chest. “What?” Blitz questions as he looked around and found no one there. Suddenly, Geisy appeared out of nowhere using her invisibility power. “Geisy!” Blitz and Blur exclaim at the same time. “Get out of my way, Geisy! This is my mission!” Blitz tells him. “Absolutely not! If you want to get to him, then you’ll have to go through me first!” Geisy tells him. “I didn’t want to do this, Geisy. But you left me with no choice. “Blitz said. Blitz used his psychokinetic powers to lift Geisy off the ground and hurtle her towards a nearby wall. Once Geisy collides with the wall, she falls hard on to the ground to the ground. “I am sorry, Geisy. But you left me no choice. Now, I must destroy you too so that I may save the future.” Blitz said. Blitz walks next to Geisy and raised his hand to finish her of until. “CHAOS WIND!” Blur’s voice echoed. Suddenly, a Yellow whirlwind came out of nowhere and surrounds Blitz. “What is this?” Blitz questions. The whirlwind then shoots him straight up into the air. After hanging in the air for a while, Blitz then begins to plummet towards the ground. Blitz tried to use his wind powers to stop his fall, but it was too late and he landed directly on his head and blacked out. “Hey, buddy, wake up.” Blitz could here a familiar voice as he slowly regained consciousness. Blitz opened his eyes and saw the server from the café kneeling down next to him. “Oh...my head.” Blitz said as he sat up and tended to his throbbing head. “Whew. You had me worried for a moment, buddy.” The server said. “How long have I been out?” Blitz asks. “A couple of minutes.” The server said. Blitz quickly remembered that he was fighting the Soul Trigger before he was knocked out cold. “Sorry, but I need to hurry.” Blitz said to the server before running back to the place where he fought the Soul Trigger. Blitz ran back to the spot where he Blur and found Geisy. Blitz decided to break them up by using his wind powers to throw them at nearby walls. Blitz walked up to Blur and says “This time, you won’t get away. Prepare to perish by the power of the elements.” Blitz raised his hand to finish Blur, again, and was stopped, again, when he heard Annalise’s scream. Blur and Blitz looked over and saw Annalise being taken away by Eggman’s new Eggmobile. “Annalise? Wait!” Blur shouted as he tried to catch her. But Blitz wasn’t about to let him get away. Blitz used his psychokinetic powers to hit Blur in the back and forced him to the ground on his knees. “Don’t you dare turn your back on me! It’s time I finally put an end to this!” Blitz exclaimed as he prepared a blast of electricity in his hand. He was about to throw it until. “Stop!” a female voice came from the side. Suddenly, Geisy jumped between them. “For the last time, Geisy! Get out of my way!” Blitz shouted at her. “No!” Geisy said sternly. Blur gets back to his feet and looks back to Geisy, saying “Thanks, Geisy. I appreciate it.” Blur then ran off to save Annalise. “I can tell just by looking at you that was Blur wasn’t it?” Blitz asked. “Yes it was.” Geisy answered. “Well, Geisy, I suggest you get out of the way. I finally found him and I won't let him get away.” Blitz said. “So the person you were looking for was Blur? Were you planning to kill him?” Geisy asks. “He responsible for destroying my world.” Blitz told her. “That’s crazy! Blur would never do that!” Geisy told him. “Well too bad, it’s true! I'm from the future , and in the future, his actions caused the devastation of this world! So I must destroy-” Blitz was cut off by Geisy. “No! I don’t believe that. Even if that was true." Geisy told him. "If I had to choose between the world and Blur. I would choose Blur!” Geisy told Blitz before turning her back towards him and chasing after Blur. Blitz was shocked. Even after all he told her about the destruction of his world, she would still choose to protect Blur with her life. Blitz was later found sitting at the coastline, thinking about what Geisy had said to him. It wasn’t soon after that Sheila had finally found him. “So this is where you are? I’ve been looking everywhere for you.” Sheila said to Blitz. Sheila noticed that Blitz did say anything to her, but instead continued to look out to the ocean. Sheila knew that he only times Blitz would ignore her was when he was angry or deeply troubled. “What’s wrong?” Sheila asked. Blitz looked back at Sheila and asks “Sheila...to kill someone to save the future of the world...is that really the right thing to do?” Sheila looked at Blitz in disbelief. He knew the only way of saving the future was to kill the Soul Trigger, so why is he starting to have second thoughts. “Your so naive. Weather it’s right or wrong, I can’t really say.” Sheila said honestly. “But what I do know is...if we don’t take this chance, the future will remain exactly the way it is.” Sheila told him. Blitz thought about this and found that Sheila was right. If they don’t do anything, Solatist will never be stopped and he would continue to freeze at their world. Blitz jumped to his feet and says “Since he’s after Dr. Eggman, let’s sneak into Eggman’s base. Maybe we’ll learn something new.” Sheila nodded her head in agreement with Blitz and they both ran south to the snowy peaks of Soleanna. | |

| Blitz and Sheila and Sheila were traveling in the snowy mountain region of Soleanna, in search of Eggman’s top secret base. “Are you sure that Eggman’s base is out here?” Blitz questions Sheila. “Yes. I ran into Selihpem earlier and he told me where to find you. He also told me Eggman’s base could be found somewhere in these mountains.” Sheila told Blitz. Sheila noticed that Blitz had fallen unusually silent. “Is something wrong, Blitz?” Sheila asks. “Don’t you find it unusual that Selihpem seems to know everything? The Soul Trigger, Eggman, us. It’s as if Selihpem has been planning everything from the beginning.” Blitz said. “You know, you might actually be right. There is something strange about Selihpem.” Sheila said. Blitz and Sheila continue to question their shadowy ally until the sound of a gun click reached their ears. Blitz and Sheila looked up the hill and saw a row of six white mechs standing on top of it with their guns aimed at the duo. “Move!” Blitz shouted. The white mechs open fired as Blitz and Sheila as the two of them dived out of the way. Blitz used his psychokinetic powers to pick up a pile of nearby boulders and hurled them at the mechs. Three of mechs were destroyed by the boulders while the other three were firing at Sheila, who was charging at them at full speed. Sheila jumped in the middle of the three mechs and uses her icekinetic powers to engulf her hands in ice and spin around to slice through the mechs armor. Blitz and Sheila were standing over the defeated mech, basking in victory. “You know, the Soul Trigger make these guys look weak.” Blitz said with a chuckle. “You met the Soul Trigger!” Sheila said in surprise. Before Blitz could answer her question, one of the mechs had enough energy remaining to fire a missile at them. Blitz and Sheila quickly dodged the missile and watched it fly off to explode at the top of one of the mountains. The missile explosion caused a chain reaction that caused a giant snowball to fall off the mountain at headed towards Blitz and Sheila. “So now what do we do?” Sheila asked. “The only thing we can do: RUN!” Blitz shouted as the both ran like hell to escape to killer snowball. The snowball was still chasing them and the duo looked forward to find that they were head straight for a cliff. “We’re trapped!” Sheila exclaimed to Blitz. “We have no choice. We have to jump it!” Blitz shouted to Sheila. “Are you crazy?! We can’t jump that!” Sheila exclaimed. “Which is the better way to perish if it fails?!” Blitz shouted. Sheila took a quick look at the giant snowball behind them before saying. “You better hope this works!” When Blitz and Sheila reached the edge of the cliff, they both pushed down with their legs and jumped high off the ground. Blitz, using his wind powers, was able to make it past the canyon below him. But Sheila, on the other hand, was not so lucky. While in the middle of the canyon, Sheila began to fall into it. At the last minute, Blitz used his ice powers to slide pick up Sheila. Unfortunately, Blitz lost control of his direction and Sheila landed directly on top of Blitz. “Ow, that hurt.” Blitz said. “You’re telling me.” Sheila said as she rubbed her head. The two took a moment to realize the position they were in. Sheila was lying on top of Blitz with their faces close together. You could see the fur on their faces turning the same fade of red. Finally snapping out her trance, Sheila quickly jumped off of Blitz saying “Sorry.” “No problem. It’s really my fault anyway.” Blitz said as he got back to his feet. Blitz and Sheila then noticed that they were now standing in front of a steel fortress door that looked like the entrance to Eggman’s base. “This must be the place. Blitz, use your powers to pry open the door.” Sheila told him. “Got it.” Blitz said as he walked up to the steel door. Blitz lifted his hands and used his earth powers to create stalagmites to cut steel doors wide open. “Eggman should be inside. And if we’re lucky, the Soul Trigger as well.” Blitz said. “Then let’s get moving.” Sheila said. As Blitz and Sheila were about to pass the steel door, twelve red crabs mechs jumped out of the snowy ground and landed in front of the two. “Great, more of them.” Blitz said. Blitz was about to use his psychokinetic powers to crush them, but Sheila suddenly grabbed his hands to stop him. “What?” Blitz questioned. “Save your strength. Leave these guys to me.” Sheila said. “All right. Good luck, Sheila.” Blitz said. Blitz used his psychokinetic powers to levitate himself three feet above the ground and flew past the crab mechs at rapid speed. While the crab mechs turned around to try and shoot down Blitz, Sheila jumped on top of one of crab mechs and used her icekinetic powers to bust into the mechs core and destroy it. The other mechs faced Sheila once the ally was destroyed and fired their lasers at her. Sheila quickly back flipped to dodge the laser fire and lunged at them with her water attacks. Sheila dashed past four of the crab mechs and destroyed them in her wake. Now only seven remained, which seemed too easy for Sheila. Sheila felt something hit against her foot and looked down to find a small red ball. “What?” Sheila questioned. She then heard the ball beeping and figured that it might be explosive. Thinking fast, Sheila gave a mighty kick to the ball, which landed in the center of the remaining mechs. The ball the exploded, taking the crab mechs with it. “Whew. I hope Blitz is having a much better time then I am.” Sheila said to herself. Speaking of Blitz, Blitz was ducking behind a stack off boxes as a search light nearly spotted him. “Oh man, what am I going to do? There are patrol mechs everywhere, making it impossible to move around. And to top it all off, if those search lights find me, this whole place will be swarming with mechs.” Blitz said to himself. The situation seemed hopeless from Blitz’s point of view. With absolutely nowhere to go, Blitz couldn’t advance any further to find Eggman or the Soul Trigger. Just as Blitz was about to give up, all the Mech and the search lights suddenly short-circuited and were shut down. “What the? What happened?” Blitz said as he ran from his hiding spot and out into the open. “So, you are Blitz. You don’t seem as powerful as I imagined.” A strange voice echoed through the field. Blitz then see a small spark of green light before it expanded and formed into White Horror. “Who are you?” Blitz asked. “Who I am is of no importance. But you Blitz, have proven to be a real threat to the Soul Trigger.” White Horror said. “Wait. How do you know about the Soul Trigger?” Blitz asked. “Defeat me and all your questions will be answered.” White Horror said. “Well if it’s a fight you want, then it’s a fight you’ll get!” Blitz shouted as he charged at White Horror. Blitz first jumped at White Horror, but White Horror used dark control to teleport behind Blitz. “Too slow.” White Horror said as he swatted Blitz five feet away. “Let us see how you handle this. SWIFT STRIKE!” White Horror shouted. Just as White Horror called out his attack, created a horizontal blade of energy and threw it at Blitz. Blitz got back to his feet and saw that blade headed his way fast. Thinking quickly, Blitz created a force field to stop the attack, but failed as the attack was too strong and broke through the force field. “You’re powers are inferior to mine. If cannot defeat me, then you will stand no chance against Soul himself.” White Horror said. “We’ll see about that!” Blitz shouts as he charged at White Horror again. This time, White Horror decided to counter Blitz's assault by creating five small meteors and throwing them at him. Blitz then thought of an idea and used his psychokinetic powers to grab the five meteors and throw them back at White Horror. Seeing that the meteors were headed at him, White Horror decided to dispel his attack. But when he did, he found Blitz flying at him and let him no room to counter. Blitz delivered a fierce fire punch to White Horror, but to his surprise, his punch went straight through White Horror. “What the?” Blitz questioned. Blitz looked back and saw White Horror disappear into thin air. The sound of clapping reached Blitz’s ears and looked back to find White Horror floating just behind him. “Well done, Blitz. Your skills are far more powerful then I expected. And as such, I believe a reward is in order.” White Horror said. White Horror grabbed an object from a worm hole and threw it to Blitz. Blitz grabbed the object and look at it to find the blue chaos emerald. “What is this?” Blitz asked. “That is a chaos emerald. With it, you will have the power to maybe destroy the Souls of Disaster.” White Horror said. “Why are you helping me?” Blitz asked. “Let’s just say we have a common enemy and that enemy is not the Soul Trigger.” White Horror said. “What?!” Blitz shouted in surprise. “Heed my warning, Blitz. Beware of Selihpem. He is not at all what he appears to be. Remember that.” White Horror said before using chaos control to teleport away. Blitz looked at the chaos emerald for a moment before running back to Sheila. During this time, one question kept appearing in his mind. "Who is that guy? And Who is Selihpem exactly?" | |

| Blitz and Sheila had returned to the town of Soleanna after their little adventure at Eggman’s base. Blitz was telling Sheila about the fight with White Horror and his warning about Selihpem. “And then he gave me this chaos emerald and said to “beware of Selihpem.” How does he even know about Selihpem?” Blitz said. “Well if you ask me, Selihpem and that White eye are hiding something from us.” Sheila said. “I know, but the question is, what are they hiding?” Blitz wondered. While Blitz and Sheila were continuing to question the strange events that have been happening, Selihpem suddenly jumped down from the sky and landed in front of the two. “Selihpem.” Blitz said, keeping a very watchful eye on him. Blitz looks to Sheila for a moment before turning back to Selihpem. “Tell me. Who is the Soul Trigger? Why does he want to destroy the world?” Blitz questions his shadey, untrustworthy ally. Selihpem looks up to Blitz with eyes that you could feel piercing through your soul. “What does that matter to you? Unless you complete your task, the future of your world will remain the same...forever. The Soul Trigger is currently at the terminal station. It’s now or never if you want this.” Selihpem said, referring to the current timeline. Blitz and Sheila only took their eyes off of Selihpem for a moment, but when they looked back at him, he was gone. “Do you think we can trust him?” Blitz asked his companion. “I don’t know who to trust anymore. But for right now, we’ll just have to take his word for it.” Sheila said. “Right. Let’s move before we lose the Soul Trigger.” Blitz said as he broke into a run towards the train terminal with Sheila following close behind. Blitz and Sheila ran out of the town of Soleanna and soon found themselves at a large canyon with several industrial sites. “This place is so big. How are we ever going to find the Soul Trigger here?” Blitz questioned. “Our best opinion would be to split up and search in different areas till we find him.” Sheila suggested. “All right, but if we don’t find him within one hour, we meet back at the town plaza.” Blitz said. “Got it.” Sheila said before she ran off. “No matter what happens, I can’t let the Soul Trigger get away.” Blitz said to himself before he jumped into the canyon. Blitz then landed on one of the industrial sites inside the canyon. The sound of metal hitting against metal reached his ears. “You have got to be kidding me.” Blitz whined. Blitz turned around and found himself faced with two crab mechs. The crab mechs were about to fire until Blitz trapped them with his gravity powers. “These guys get easier every time.” Blitz said as he started to walk away. His walk was short because there was nowhere left to go. “Great. Now what do I do?” Blitz asked himself. Blitz looked at the far end of the gap and, to his surprise, saw the Soul Trigger with Annalise and Geisy run by. “The Soul Trigger, he’s here! I have to get to him!” Blitz exclaimed. Thinking fast, Blitz used his psychokinetic powers to grab hold of a metal box and jumped on it for a ride. Blitz rode the box all the way to the other side and dropped down to his knees, terribly exhausted. “I can’t stop now. I have to find the Soul Trigger.” Blitz said. Using what strength he had, Blitz got back to his feet and ran off in the direction the Soul Trigger went. Blitz ran as fast as he could but he lost the Soul Trigger and found himself completely lost in another part of the canyon. “Ugh! Where did he go?!” Blitz questioned in frustration. Blitz started kicking the ground; six flying mechs dropped from the sky and surrounded Blitz. “I really don’t have time for you!” Blitz yelled as he used his psychokinetic powers to grab hold of all six mechs. Blitz waved his hands in the air, which the mechs followed, and clasp them together, forcing the mech to collide with each other and explode. Just when Blitz thought it was over, two trails of bullets came from different directions and were headed towards Blitz. Blitz quickly created a force field to block the bullets. Blitz looked to the sky and saw two white mechs floating just above him. “I am really getting tired of you guys.” Blitz said. Blitz then manipulated the energy in his shield and expanded his force field to knock the mechs off balance and destroy them. “No that their done, I have to figure out what to do next.” Blitz said. Blitz took a step forward and when he did, the sound of a spring being pushed back entered his ears. Blitz looked down and saw that he was standing on top of a large spring. “Oh boy.” Blitz said before he was launched into the air. Blitz flew through the air and landed, face first, into the gravel between two sets of railroad tracks. Blitz got back to his feet and spit out any gravel that might have gotten into his mouth. “Disgusting.” Blitz said. Blitz was then hit in the back of the head and push forward into the gravel. “What?” Blitz questioned. Blitz got back to his feet and saw...nothing. “Where is it?” Blitz asked. Blitz was then hit across the face and sent further down the railway. “Whatever it is, it must have some kind of invisibility function.” Blitz thought. “Well, I’ll just have to take care of that.” Blitz said. Blitz’s hands cackled with electricity and pushed them to the ground, creating a large shockwave. The shockwave disabled the invisibility function of the enemy and revealed it to Blitz. The enemy appeared to be a giant wasp-like mech that was about to attack Blitz. Blitz was about to attack until the ground began to rumble. Blitz looked back and saw a large yellow train headed straight at them. Thinking fast, Blitz used his psychokinetic powers to levitate on top of the train while the wasp mech was destroyed by it. “Whew, that was close.” Blitz said in relief. Blitz decided to relax and search the industrial canyon while riding on the train. Blitz soon found the he was looking for and jumped off the train. Blur was running with Annalise in his arms and Geisy running next to them. “I knew it. I knew you would return. You had to.” Annalise said to Blur. “Blur! Look out!” Geisy shouted as she pulled him away just in time to avoid a jet of water. Blur looked ahead and saw Blitz standing in front of them. “You again?” Blur said. “This time there will be no more interruptions! The Soul Trigger must die!” Blitz exclaimed. Blitz launched a wave of fire at Blur, which Blur dived to avoid. Just as Blur was about to get back to his feet, Blitz used his gravity powers to hold Blur in place. “Blur!” Geisy shouted. “Did you two enjoy your little walk?” Eggman’s voice came from the sky. Annalise and Geisy looked back for a moment before being captured by Eggman’s Eggmobile. “Blur!” Geisy shouted to her hero. “Geisy! Annalise!” Blur shouted, desperately trying to break free from Blitz’s hold to save them, but it was useless. “It’s time to end this, once and for all!” Blitz exclaimed. Blitz then raised his hand to finish Blur, but was interrupted again when Selihpem jumped between them. Blitz jumped back in surprise of Selihpem appearance, which forced him to release Blur from his hold. “Selihpem! Why are you getting in my way?” Blitz asked, confused about his ally’s actions. “I am Mach. Mach Speed Blazer.” Mach said to Blitz who was in shock the Soul trigger had a twin. Mach looked back to Blur and said “Get going.” “Thanks, bro.” Blur said before he ran off to chase after Geisy and Annalise. Mach turned back to his new opponent with every intention of defeating him. Mach was the first to strike and he charged at Blitz. Blitz countered by using his psychokinetic powers to push Mach away fifteen feet. Mach landed on his feet and looked stared at Blitz, obviously impressed. “It’s obvious that I have underestimated you. You are more powerful then you look, I’ll give you that.” Mach said to Blitz. “And I’m just getting started.” Blitz said as he used psychokinetic powers to lift a bunch of nearby tools and throw them at Mach. Mach made no move to avoid them, but instead started swatting them away like flies. “You call them power? Here, let me show you what real power is.” Mach said. Ten Purple arrows formed around Mach. “CHAOS SPEAR!” Mach shouted as the yellow arrows flew towards Blitz. Thinking quickly, Blitz created a force field that stopped Mach’s attack and rebounded it back towards him. Mach was becoming exhausted from using his chaos spear and being hit by Blitz’s and his own attacks. The winner of the battle would soon be decided Growing very frustrated with Mach, Blitz charged at him without even thinking. Mach saw this as an opportunity and pulled out the green chaos emerald he had obtained from the future. “CHAOS CONTROL!” Mach shouted. Time instantly stopped and Mach took the chance to deliver a strike kick to the back of Blitz’s head. Time returned to normal and Blitz was sent plowing to the ground with an enormous pain in the back of his head. Blitz got to his knees and stared at Mach with anger in his eyes. “Why you!” Blitz exclaimed. “Don’t bother trying to defeat me. With a chaos emerald’s power, I can control time and space. You can’t break free.” Mach said to him. “I won’t give up! It all depends on me! I can’t lose! Not when I’m so close!” Blitz said with determination. Blitz then remembered the chaos emerald that White Horror gave to him and pulled it out into Mach’s view. Blitz and Mach charged at each other and bashed their arms together. “CHAOS CONTROL!” Mach and Blitz shout at the same time. The double control attack created and spark of energy to be released and created a white vortex behind them. “What is that?” Blitz asked. Mach already knew about it since he used it to help Blur return to his time, but was surprised that Blitz was able to create it. “You...induced Chaos control.” Mach said in surprise. “I won’t let anyone get in my way! I’ll change the past and save the world!” Blitz exclaimed. “What an idiot.” Mach thought. “Selihpem isn’t trying to help you create a better future; he’s trying to eliminate the past.” Mach told him. “What? What are you talking about?” Blitz asked, confused at what Mach was saying. “If you want to know the truth then it would seem we must see what happened ten years ago. Follow me if you want to know the truth.” Mach told him before jumping into the vortex. Blitz stood there for a moment, thinking about what to do. Who could he trust, Mach or Selihpem. Blitz had decided. Blitz jumped into the vortex with Mach to find out the truth. | |

| A white vortex opens and Blitz and Mach drop down from it into an unknown location. “Where are we?” Blitz asks. “My guess is that we are in the experimental base where the Creator Project was created.” Mach said. “The Creator Project?” Blitz questions. “It was an experiment that was created by the ruler of Soleanna to control time and space and allow humanity the chance to correct their sins.” Mach explains. “But, what does any of this have to do with Selihpem or Solatist?” Blitz asks. Mach was about to answer him until the heard a faint rumbling sound coming from down the corridor. In a laboratory just down the corridor where Mach and Blitz were, many scientists were gather around a container with a small icicle was being experimented on. Among the scientist was the ruler of Soleanna and the icicle was most likely the Creator Project. “My lord, we can’t contain it much longer. A spatial meltdown is inevitable. We have to take shelter.” One of the scientists said. “Why, The Creator? Why do you refuse to listen to my voice?” The Ruler asked the small icicle. “Father!” a small voice came from behind. The Ruler turned around and saw his daughter, Annalise. Suddenly, the icicle’s power grew stronger until there was too much to contain. In a desperate act to save his daughter, The Ruler covered Annalise with his body just as the container exploded. Down the corridor, Mach and Blitz caught sight of the explosion up the corridor and quickly ran towards it. Upon reaching the sight where the explosion took place, Mach and Blitz found a destroyed laboratory with many dead scientists lying on the ground. “It appears we are too late.” Mach said. Mach noticed that, somehow, The Ruler was still alive and quickly rushed to his side. But while Mach was busy with The Ruler, Blitz noticed a ball of flame hanging over a pool of purple ooze. “That light...its Solatist!” Blitz exclaimed. Upon hearing Blitz’s words, Mach also took notice of the shadow ooze beneath the light. “And that ooze must be the original Selihpem.” Mach said. “That’s Selihpem?!” Blitz said in shock. Then, to Mach and Blitz’s surprise, the ball of light and the Shadow ooze started to move away. “They’re escaping!” Blitz shouted. “We must split up. I’ll go after Selihpem.” Mach said. “Ok. Then leave Solatist to me.” Blitz said. The two hedgehogs were about to pursue their enemies until a weak voice stop them. “Wait” Mach and Blitz looked back and The Ruler holding up a Blitz scepter to Mach. “Seal the ooze with this.” The Ruler said weakly as he placed the scepter in Mach’s hands. Mach quickly took the scepter from The Ruler and ran after Selihpem while Blitz ran after Solatist. Blitz jumped down a platform to land in a room that showed the outside. To his surprise, the entire place was completely under water. “Whoa! It’s hard to believe this entire place is right under Soleanna.” Blitz said in amazement. Blitz’s moment was soon ruined when two Biters appeared out of nowhere. “What?! How can you monsters be here?!” Blitz shouted, completely surprised they even exist yet. One of the Biters jumped at Blitz, but Blitz countered by using his psychokinetic powers to grab hold of it in the air. The Biters jumped at Blitz, but once again, Blitz grabbed it with his psychokinetic powers and threw them both at the steel door at the end of the room. The impact destroyed the Biters and forced the door off its hinges. “Not what I was expecting, but I’ll take it.” Blitz said as he ran down the new passageway. After running down the passageway, Blitz found himself in an empty circular room with a steel door at the end of it. “This looks simple enough. I’ll just use my powers to pry the door open.” Blitz said. Blitz walked across the room, but quickly stopped when three large golems made of rock and lava called…Golems. “You have got to be kidding me.” Blitz complained. One of the Golems lifted its hand into the air and created a small spiked rock ball and throws it at Blitz. Thinking quickly, Blitz caught the spiked ball but didn’t notice that another Golem threw a spiked ball at him until it hit him square in the back. The impact of the attack forced Blitz to his knees. Blitz looked up and saw all three Golems holding spiked balls and throwing them at him. Using his psychokinetic powers, Blitz created a force field that forced the spiked balls back at their creators. The rebounded spiked balls destroyed the Golems and one of them bounced off and knocked the steel door off. “Again, not what I was expecting.” Blitz said as he walked out of the room. Blitz then found himself in a room with a long chasm and numerous grey bubbles floating through the air. “I can’t levitate across with these things in the way. I’m gonna have to figure a way to get across. But the question is, how?” Blitz pondered. While Blitz was trying to figure a way past his current situation, one of the grey bubbles collided with his head. “What the?” Blitz said in surprise as the bubble nearly knocked him off his feet. Blitz grabbed the bubble and felt that it was solid. Blitz squeezed the bubble to pop it, but it didn’t work. “That’s weird.” Blitz said as he threw the bubble back with the rest. To his amazement, when the bubble he threw collided with another bubble, the merged together into a bigger bubble. “That’s it!” Blitz shouted as he came up with an idea. Using his psychokinetic powers, Blitz brought all the grey bubbles together until they formed into one large bubble. Blitz jumped on top of the bubble and used psychokinetic powers to cross the chasm. After crossing the chasm, Blitz jumped off the bubble and walked into the next room, which was filled with three Biters, three Takers, and one Golem. “Will this ever end?” Blitz asked himself. The Takers started by diving down on to Blitz. Blitz countered by grabbing them with his psychokinetic powers. The Biters jumped to bite at Blitz, but Blitz moved the captive Takers in front of him so that they would be bitten instead of him. The Biters bit down on the Takers to destroy them before being lifted into the air by Blitz’s psychokinetic powers. Using all his strength, Blitz lunged the Biters at the Golem to destroy all of them at once. “With all these monsters around, Solatist has to be close by.” Blitz said. And speak of the devil; Solatist flew by Blitz into another room. “You won’t get away, Solatist!” Blitz shouted as he chased Solatist into the next room. Blitz was using his psychokinetic powers to contain Solatist, but the strain on his mind was becoming too much for Blitz. Just then, The Ruler entered the room with Annalise in his arms. “Hey! What are you doing? You’ve got to leave!” Blitz shouted to him. “I have my duty. This living ice has been entrusted to the royal family. The Souls of Disaster will awaken if nothing is done! That must not happen.” The Ruler said as he placed his daughter on the table underneath Solatist. The Ruler the pulls out the white chaos emerald and allows it to float inside the flames. “Eternal Light! The living icicle that has been entrusted to the royal family! Fall into slumber with a royal soul!” The Ruler chanted. Just as The Ruler had commanded, the light was engulfed by the chaos emerald and then sealed inside Annalise. The Ruler struggled to stand as he picked up his beloved daughter. “I’m sorry, but...can you take her to a safe place?” The Ruler asked of Blitz. “I will.” Blitz accepted. Blitz took Annalise into his arms just as The Ruler collapsed to his knees. The Ruler looked at Annalise one last time and said “That’s a good girl, Annalise. Remember, be brave. Don’t cry, no matter what. Otherwise your tears will call forth the ice inside you. Become a strong queen who doesn’t cry and...Live...happily.” With that being said, The Ruler fell to the ground and died. “Solatist. No matter where you are, you always bring pain.” Blitz said. Blitz was waiting outside with Annalise in his arms and Mach walked out of the former base with the glowing scepter in his hands. “Did you do it?” Blitz asked. “Yes. And you?” Mach asked. “Yes. The icicles have been properly sealed.” Blitz answered. Blitz walked over to a near by tree and set Annalise down next to it. Mach looked at the scepter for a moment before setting it down next to Annalise. “You’re going to leave it behind?” Blitz questioned. “Yes. I already know what becomes of it in the future.” Mach said to him. “It’s time to return.” Mach said as he pulled out his chaos emerald. “Of course.” Blitz said as he pulled out his chaos emerald. The two hedgehogs lifter their chaos emeralds into the air and shouted” “CHAOS CONTROL!” And on command, a white vortex appeared behind them and Mach jumped through it. Blitz was about to follow him until. “Where am I?” Blitz looked back and found that Annalise was awake. “What happened? Who are you?” Annalise asked Blitz. “I am Blitz.” Blitz answered her question. “Where is my father?” Annalise asked. “I am sorry, but he’s dead. But don’t feel sad. Your father would not want you to be sad.” Blitz told her. Blitz then took out his blue chaos emerald and gave it to Annalise. “What is this?” Annalise asked. “It’s a good luck charm. As long as you have it, you will always been happy.” Blitz told her. “Thank you.” Annalise said. Blitz smiled at Annalise before turning around and disappearing in the vortex. Back inside the deserted laboratory where the Creator was created, a blue robot was walking into the center of the room. It would appear that I am too late. Too bad, the Creator Project could have been a great source of power for me. But at least I still have this.” The blue robot said as he held up a small computer chip. The blue robot inserted the chip into its head and could feel an enormous amount of power enter its mechanical body. “Hahahaha. With this power I will have my revenge on Blur for defeating Eggman all the time! Today begins the start of my own empire!” the blue robot laughed out as he began to transform. | |

| Sheila was in the sitting on the fountain in the central plaza of Soleanna, waiting for Blitz to show up. It was fifteen minutes past the time Blitz said to meet up and he still wasn’t there. “What is taking Blitz so long? He should have been here by now.” Sheila complained. Just then, a white vortex appeared out of nowhere above Sheila’s head and Blitz dropped out from it and landed on top of her. The sudden collision of the two causes Sheila to lose her balance and fall into the fountain along with Blitz. “You really know how to make an entrance, Blitz.” Sheila said sarcastically as she climbed out of the fountain. “Sorry about that, Sheila” Blitz apologized. Sheila shook her fur of all the water, which made Blitz even damper. “Yeah, thanks Sheila.” Blitz said sarcastically as he used his pyrokinetic powers to remove the water from his fur. “So, what did you find out?” Sheila asked. “Selihpem lied to us. The Soul Trigger...wasn’t Blur Journey Blazer.” Blitz said to her. “That’s very strange.” Sheila said. “What do you mean?” Blitz asked. “If Blur wasn’t the Soul Trigger, then why would Selihpem being us back to the past and tell us he was?” Sheila questioned. “I don’t know.” Blitz answered honestly. “Maybe we can find out if you explain everything you saw.” Sheila said. “Can we talk about it at the café?” Blitz asked. “How come?” Sheila asked. “Because I’m hungry.” Blitz said sheepishly. “Oh, Blitz. We don’t have time for food. We need to find Selihpem.” Sheila said sternly. Just then, a faint rumbling sound came out of nowhere. The sound came from Sheila’s stomach and Sheila’s face was red with embarrassment. “Right after we eat.” Sheila said quickly. Blitz and Sheila were sitting at the counter of Blitz’s favorite café as Blitz’s new friend was serving them. “Here you go, Blitz. One steak for you and a salmon for the lovely young lady.” The server said as gave them their food. “Thank you.” Sheila said before she started eating. “I didn’t know you had a cute girlfriend, Blitz.” The server said. Upon hearing those words, Sheila instantly spit out her food and Blitz accidentally swallowed his fork and began to choke. Sheila hit Blitz in the back and forced him to spit out the fork, which nearly nailed the server in the head. “She’s not my girlfriend.” Blitz said. “Whatever.” the server shrugged it off. Blitz and Sheila both took notice that people were talking loudly. “Why is it so noisy?” Blitz asked. “Didn’t you hear?” The server said. “Hear what?” Sheila asked. “The princess went to Eggman’s base in response for his earlier threat.” The server explained. “What if he plans to free Solatist?” Blitz said to Sheila. “Then we can’t waste time. Come on!” Sheila exclaimed as they both ran off to find Eggman. Blur and Geisy were running across the valley outside Soleanna until several white mechs drop down and blocked their path. “We never get a break, do we?” Blur said. The mechs were about to fire until they were suddenly entrapped in a strange light. “What the?” Blur questioned. Just then, Blitz and Sheila drop down from one of the trees and lands in front of the two. “Blitz!” Geisy exclaimed. Using his psychokinetic powers, Blitz pushed all the mechs against the trees and destroyed them. “You two look like you’re in a hurry.” Blitz said. “What’s it to you.” Blur said harshly, not trusting Blitz one bit. But why would he after Blitz tried to kill him three times. “Look, I know you don’t trust me, but the circumstances have changed. I need to rescue the princess before Solatist is released.” Blitz said. Blur could tell that Blitz was telling the truth and said “All right, but how are we going to find her?” Blur asked. “It would be a good idea if we split into groups of two to find her and then get back together later to save her.” Sheila suggested. “Ok, let’s go, Geisy.” Blur said as he ran off with Geisy close behind. “We better hurry before Eggman frees Solatist.” Blitz said. “Right.” Sheila said as the two ran off in another direction. Blitz and Sheila arrive at another part of the valley and found themselves faced with two white mechs and a large mech. “Eggman must have a lot of free time to make all these mechs.” Sheila said. The giant mech created a large metal ball and hurtled it at the two. Blitz used his psychokinetic powers to catch the metal ball. But while Blitz was busy with the giant mech, he didn’t notice the white mechs about to shoot at him. “Oh no, you don’t!” Sheila exclaimed. Using her icekinetic powers, Sheila created a small ball of ice in her hands and threw it at the mech. Unfortunately for Sheila; the ball of ice had no effect on them and bounced of to land on the crates next to them. By some miracle, one of the crates was filled with explosives and exploded when the ball of ice reached it(for some odd reason), destroying all three mechs. “Well that was certainly lucky…and weird.” Sheila said. “Yeah. Guess I won’t need this.” Blitz said referring to the metal ball above his head. Blitz threw the metal ball behind him, but did realize where it was headed. The metal ball collided with one of the many towers and destroyed it. hearing the destruction he caused, Blitz looked back at the destroyed tower and then back at Sheila, who look really angry right now. “Uh...oops.” Blitz chuckled nervously. “Let’s just hurry before you destroy anything else.” Sheila said. “Uh...right.” Blitz said shamefully as they started to walk away. Blitz and Sheila then reached a flight of stairs, only without the stairs. Sheila looked down the gap and saw the stairs down below them. “looks like you’re up, Blitz.” Sheila said. Blitz, using his psychokinetic powers, lifted all the stairs and placed them in their proper places. “Good job, Blitz.” Sheila said. Suddenly, a faint thud reached Sheila’s sensitive ears and she looked back to find Blitz collapsed on the ground. “Blitz!” Sheila exclaimed as she ran to his side. “Blitz, what’s wrong.” Sheila asked. “My powers haven't been fully restored since we arrived in this time period.” Blitz said weakly. “That’s not good.” Sheila said as she picked him up by his arm and started carrying him on her shoulder. Sheila started walking up the stairs with Blitz and soon enters into a large empty citadel. But it wasn’t as empty as they thought. “Hahahaha! This has got to be the easiest theft ever!” An unknown voice laughed. “And to think, you almost didn’t want to come here.” A female voice could be heard. “Now aren’t you glad she tricked you into coming, boss?” A gruff voice asked. The voices were then identified when Jet, Wave and Storm, the Babylon Rogues, came into view, hold a number of sacks. “She didn’t trick! I chose to come here!” Jet claimed. “Whatever.” Wave shrugged it off. “Jet then noticed Blitz and Sheila’s presence. “Hey! who are you?!” Jet questioned. “We could ask you the same thing.” Blitz said weakly. “We’re no one.” Wave said. “Yeah. And we’re definitely not thieves carrying a bag of loot. Oops!” Storm said. “STORM!” Jet and Wave yelled. “So you’re thieves? Then I guess that means we have to stop you.” Blitz said as he weakly stood up. “Bring it on!” Jet challenged. Just as the five were about to battle, a giant grey walker mech jumped between them. “Later suckers!” Jet yelled as he and the others took the opportunity to escape. “Looks like we’re on our own.” Sheila said as they came face-to-face with the walker. Jet, Wave and Storm were riding their extreme gear to escape the valley. “those guys are lucky that thing got to them before us.” Jet said arrogantly. “You know, I almost feel bad for them. Almost.” Wave said. “Yeah. Even though that robot looked pretty tough and that blur look alike guy looked really tired.” Storm said. Jet squeaked from feeling guilt. “And they would probably die because we left them there.” Storm said. Jet suddenly screech the Jester to a halt. “Curse my good heart.” Jet said before turning the Jester around a rode back. Blitz was thrown across the room and crashed into the wall before hitting the ground. Sheila used her icekinetic powers to engulf her hands in ice and lunge at the walker. Unfortunately, her attack had no effect on the large mech and gave the walker an opportunity to land a solid kick on Sheila. Sheila landed next to Blitz on the ground and was too weak to stand up. “Look’s like this is it.” Sheila said. “After all we did, nothing changed.” Blitz said. “I wouldn’t say nothing.” Sheila said as she reached over and grabbed Blitz’s hand with her own. The mech prepared to fire, a mysterious tornado came out of nowhere. “What’s happening?!” Blitz shouted. The mysterious tornado disappeared and the Babylon Rogues stood in its place. “What are you guys doing here?” Sheila asked. “Just shut up and let us take care of this thing.” Jet said. The walker mech fired a few missiles from it pack, but Jet pulled out his fans to swat them away. While Jet was distracting the mech front the front, Wave and Storm snuck up behind the mechs legs. “Now, Storm!” Wave yelled. Storm used his amazing strength to crush the walker’s left leg with his fist and Wave used her huge wrench to destroy the walker’s right leg. Without its legs to support it, the walker mech fell to the ground with a loud thud. Then, Jet jumped up onto the walker’s head and pierced it head with the metal from his fan. The mechs head exploded and when the dust cleared, the Babylon Rogues disappeared. “Where did they go?” Blitz asked as he and Sheila got back to their feet. “I don’t know, but we can stay here much longer. We have to rescue the princess.” Sheila said. Blitz nodded his head in agreement with Sheila and took off. Blur and Blitz met up again later, but found out they were too late as they watched Eggman ship fly over the horizon and exploded. “No! we’re too late!” Blur exclaimed. “We failed. We couldn’t save her.” Geisy said tearfully. Blitz held his head down in shame. It was his fault that Annalise became Eggman’s prisoner in the first place. Just then, an idea came to Blitz. “Wait...there’s still a way to change this.” Blitz said. “Huh?” Blur said in confusion. “If we return to an earlier point in time, we’ll be able to save her.” Blitz explained. “Chaos control.” Blur said, understanding Blitz’s plan. “Exactly.” Blitz said as he pulled out the white emerald he received from the ruler of Soleanna. Blur pulled out the light-blue chaos emerald he obtained from Blitz’s time and the Blue emerald he obtained from Annalise. (You'll figure out how he still has it later) The two hedgehogs held their chaos emeralds in the air and shouted “CHAOS CONTROL!” On command, a white vortex appeared behind them. “Come on, Blur! Let’s go save Annalise!” Geisy exclaimed as she charged at the vortex. “Geisy, no!” Blur yelled, but was too late as she jumped through the vortex. Blur was about to follow her until he turned around and threw his Light-Blue chaos emerald to Blitz. Blitz caught the emerald and looked to Blur, confused, “We can handle this ourselves. Besides, you’ve got somewhere to go, don’t you? we’ll make sure to change Annalise’s fate. And that in turn, should change your future too. Thanks, Blitz” Blur said. “Yeah...just go save her.” Blitz said. Blur jumped into the vortex with Blitz and Sheila jumping in after him. | |

| A white vortex appears in midair with Blitz and Sheila jumping down from it. Blitz took a look around to register his surroundings. They were in a river of hot lava near an active volcano, which meant that they were in the right time period. “Looks like we’re back. Now what?” Sheila asked. “I know how to save our world now. We don’t have to change the past. I’m sure of it.” Blitz said confidently. “So you have a plan?” Sheila questions. “Yes. But first we must defeat Solatist and return him to his original form.” Blitz told her. “Well then, let’s hurry. I can sense his ice coming from this volcano.” Sheila told him. Blitz nodded his head in agreement as they both started walking towards Solatist’ lair. Blitz and Sheila jumped down from one of the higher cliffs to land on a piece of rock that was floating on the lava. “So you’re telling me that we have to cross all this just to get to Solatist?” Blitz questioned. “Unfortunately, yes.” Sheila replied. “It’s never easy, is it?” Blitz complained. “The greater things in life never are.” Sheila said to him. After jumping across numerous platforms, Sheila and Blitz landed on an area of rock that held a shield cage with a spring inside. “What is that doing here?” Blitz questioned. “I don’t know, but it looks like it’s the only way we’ll be able to get past this obstacle.” Sheila said as she looked up to the high cliff. “But the question is, how are going to get it open?” Sheila asked. Just then, a Golem jumped down and nearly crushed Sheila if Blitz didn’t pull her back with his wind powers. “I really think we should take care of this guy first.” Blitz said. The Golem created two spike balls in its hands and threw them at the two, but Blitz stopped them with his gravity powers. “Do these guys ever learn?” Blitz said as he used his psychokinesis and threw the ball back at the Golem. Before it was destroyed, the Golem fall backwards on the shield cage to destroy it. “Well, that works.” Sheila said. Blitz and Sheila jumped onto spring to fly up to the cliff above them. Upon reaching the top of high cliff, Blitz and Sheila were confronted by numerous Takers and Biters. “There’s just no end to these things.” Blitz said. Many of the Biters jumped at Blitz, but Blitz countered by creating a tidal wave, pushing them off the cliff. While Blitz wasn’t looking, one of the Takers swooped down to claw Blitz. Lucky for Blitz, Sheila used her icekinetic powers to cover her feet in ice and kick the Taker away to destroy it. “Blitz! I need a boost!” Sheila shouted. Blitz used his psychokinetic powers to lift Sheila into the air and headed towards the fire birds. After breaking out of Blitz’s hold, Sheila jumped towards the army of Takers using her icekinetic powers to go through them. After finishing up with the Taker, Sheila jumped back onto the cliff. Unfortunately for her, Sheila lost her footing on the landing and fell off the cliff towards the lava river. “Sheila!!!” Blitz yelled as he tried to reach out for her. And to both of their surprise, one of the rock platforms shot up from the lava, caught Sheila and landed back on the cliff. “Blitz...how did you do that?” Sheila asked. “I guess my powers have been fully restored.” Blitz guessed. “But how?” Sheila questioned. “Well...I guess the reason my powers were always weakened was because Selihpem was always close by. But since he’s not around, my powers have been fully restored.” Blitz concluded. “Well then, why are we walking there?” Sheila asked. “Good point.” Blitz said. Using his gravity powers, Blitz lifted Sheila and himself off the ground and flew straight towards the volcano. Blitz and Sheila were flying towards the center of the volcano until they suddenly dropped. Lucky for them, a rock platform was right underneath them when they fell. “What’s going on, Blitz? Why did you stop? We are almost there.” Sheila said. “I’m sorry, Sheila. But even with my powers fully restored, I still can’t take us all the way.” Blitz said. “Then I guess we’ll have to walk the rest of the way.” Sheila said as she picked up Blitz by his arm and carried him by her shoulder. It was a really bad time for Blitz to become exhausted since they were now surrounded by an army of Biters and Takers. “Why do they always come at a bad time?” Sheila complained. Just then, all the Biters jumped onto the duo. Everything looked grim for the heroes until. “SWIFT STRIKE!” a demonic voice came from nowhere. All of a sudden, a horizontal blade of energy came out of nowhere and sliced through the lava tiger. In a flash of light, White Horror appeared to the heroes rescue. “You. How did you get here?” Blitz asked. “There is no time for questions. You must defeat Solatist before he reaches his final form.” White Horror told them. “But how do we get there?” Sheila asked. “Leave that to me. DARK CONTROL!” White Horror shouted and with a wave of his hand, Blitz and Sheila disappeared in a flash of light. Now White Horror was left alone with the monsters of Solatist. “Let us see how you monstrosities fair against me.” White Horror said as he held two Green balls in his tentacles. White Horror threw the balls on the ground to smash them and from the shattered pieces came several White Warriors holding Blue swords. “Attack!” White Horror commanded. In a flash of light, Blitz and Sheila appeared in the center of the volcano. “When this is over, you have a lot to explain.” Sheila said. Just then, the ground below they feet started to rumble violently. “It’s Solatist! He’s here!” Sheila shouted to Blitz. And just as Sheila said, Solatist appeared from the lava. “Come on, Solatist!” Blitz challenged. “This time I’ll finally stop you!” Blitz proclaimed. Solatist gave out a loud roar to accept Blitz’s challenge. Solatist clasped its tendrills together to give it a meditative look and over a hundred ice balls appeared out of the lava to float around him. “I had no idea he could do that.” Blitz said. The iceballs began to circle Solatist before launching themselves at Blitz. Thinking quickly, Blitz created a force field around him and Sheila while using his psychokinetic powers to catch as many iceballs as he can. “I believe these belong to you!” Blitz yelled as he threw the iceballs back at Solatist. The iceballs landed direct blows at Solatist, who gave out a painful roar from the hits.” Hah!” Blitz shouted victoriously. Solatist once again returned to his meditative stance and you could see the lava in his body beginning to move around strangely. “What is he up to?” Sheila pondered. Just then, a pulse of ice was released from Solatist’ body and headed towards Blitz. “Blitz, get down!” Sheila shouted. But Blitz was in too much shock of how strong Solatist had become to move. Sheila quickly grabbed Blitz and dragged him down to the ground to avoid the attack. “Next time I say get down, I expect you to listen.” Sheila said sternly. A loud rumbling sound could be heard only a few feet ahead of them and Blitz and Sheila looked up to find Solatist standing only a few feet from them. “Aw man.” Blitz complained. Solatist lifted it tendrill and brought it down on the two. Blitz and Sheila quickly jumped to their feet and moved out of the way to avoid Solatist’ attack. Solatist brought down its head to zap at Blitz, but Blitz avoided it by jumping on Solatist head. “Let’s see how you like this!” Blitz shouted. Blitz used his gravity powers to send a pulse through Solatist’ head. Solatist roared in pain and swatted Blitz away. “He’s going to have one major headache.” Blitz joked. Sheila only groaned at Blitz’s lame attempt to make a joke. Solatist moved away from Blitz and Sheila until he was in the center of the volcano. “What’s he doing?” Sheila questioned. Solatist resumed its meditative stance and then a huge ball of electricity formed above his head. “Blitz, watch out!” Sheila warned. Solatist threw the ball of electricity at the two and Blitz tried to use his electric powers to stop it. Blitz was able to stop it in the air, but only momentarily. The strain from using his powers to hold such a large and powerful object was too much for him to handle. “Blitz, get out of there now!” Sheila shouted. “No! For too long have we lived in fear! The fear created by Solatist! This is our final chance to make things right and I am not about to back down now!” Blitz proclaimed. Just then, the white and light blue chaos emeralds shined brightly and soon Blitz felt the straain disappearing, giving Blitz the strength he needed to push the ball of electricity back. The ball of electricity completely engulfed Solatist, finally destroying him. “We...did it.” Blitz said weakly. With Solatist defeat, a large spire of ice shot out of the lava to reveal Solatist’ true form. Blitz knew what we was about to do was a risk, but it was one that had to be taken. Blitz pulled out his chaos emeralds and walked up to Solatist. “Chaos emeralds, lend me your power! Eternal light! The living icicle that has been entrusted to the royal family! Fall into slumber with my soul Solatist! You cursed Souls of disaster!” Blitz chanted. The chaos emeralds in Blitz’s hands started to glow and to his surprise, Solatist began to...crack? “What the?” Blitz said in confusion. Solatist continued to crack until it finally exploded, sending Blitz and Sheila flying a few feet back. Blitz and Sheila got back to their feet and saw that even with Solatist gone, nothing had changed. “What happened? Didn’t we win? Wasn’t Solatist destroyed?” Sheila continually questioned. “That wasn’t Solatist.” Blitz said. “What?!” Sheila shouted in shock. “I felt the true essence of Solatist and that wasn’t it.” Blitz said as he showed Sheila a small mechanical ball in his hand. “It was a fake.” Blitz told her. “But who would create a false Solatist?” Sheila questioned. “It was Selihpem. I finally understand why he sent us back in time. When the princess died, Solatist died with her. That’s he sent us back in time. To save Solatist.” Blitz concluded. “So, did we save Solatist?” Sheila asked. “We didn’t, but I’m sure Blur did.” Blitz said regretfully. | |

| The Prolouge part 6 of 10: The two sides of me It has been three months since Blur, Mach and Geisy raced the Babylon Rogues across the legendary Babylon Garden. And speaking of Mach, the famous red hedgehog was currently hiding out in the forest outside the steel door entrance that led to Eggman’s secret base. “I have to very careful around this place. One wrong move could trip the alarm.” Mach said silently to himself. Just as Mach took a step forward, the alarm suddenly went off. Mach looked down and saw that his foot had landed in the path of an inferred laser. “That’s just great.” Mach said sarcastically. When the alarm went off, numerous white mechs dropped down from the sky and started firing into the forest. Mach quickly moved behind the trees to avoid the shots, one nearly taking Mach’s head. “All right, no more hiding!” Mach shouted as he quickly jumped out from behind the tree and charged at the army of mechs. The army of white mechs tried to shoot Mach, but his speed gave him the advantage and avoided all the shots. Mach ran past the white mechs, destroying them in his wake. Mach ran up to one of mech and jumped off its head to successfully jump over the steel door. Mach landed safely on the other side and looked back for a moment to watch the explosion made from the mechs he destroyed. “Mach here. I have successfully infiltrated Eggman’s base. Requesting mission instructions.” Mach said formally into his wrist communicator. “There’s an SOS coming from Dr. Eggman’s base. Our last communication with our agent was 13 hours ago. We expect an immediate rescue, Mach.” The G.U.N. commander responded. “Understood.” Mach said. Mach then used chaos control to teleport further into the base. In the canyon part of the base, a couple white mechs were making their routine patrol around the base. “Perimeter is clear. Continuing search for intruder.” One of the white mech said before moving on. While the white mechs started to walk away, one of the mechs metal feet then hit something solid in the snow. “Ow!” a muffled voice came from the snow. The white mechs stopped upon hearing the sound. One of the white mechs continued to kick at the object, but no sound came from it. Thinking it was noting, the white mechs just shrugged it off and continued their patrol. When the white mechs were gone, the object they kicked began to move and popped out of the ground. It was Jasmine, who had a splitting headache from the mechs kicking at her head. “Ugh...note to self: never hide where others can trample you.” Jasmine said to herself. After digging herself out of the snow, Jasmine jumped up to one of the cliffs in the canyon to get an update on her surroundings. It appeared that the only way she could get out was to go through the canyon. But, as usual, there was something to stop her. The whole canyon was filled with mechs, from white fighter mechs to red giant mechs, and to top it all off, there were several searchlights that would attract many mechs if spotted. “Well that might cause some problems. I better take out those searchlights if I want to make it out.” Jasmine said to herself. While Jasmine wasn’t looking, a red fighter mech walked up behind Jasmine. Thanks to her ultra sensitive hearing powers, Jasmine was able to hear the mechs movement and jump into the air before it fired its gun. Once Jasmine was above it head, she quickly spun around at a fast pace, shouting “SCREW KICK!” Jasmine’s signature technique plowed straight through mechs chest and destroyed it. “That’ll teach ya not to mess with a lady.” Jasmine said before runing off. Jasmine then landed on a cliff only a few yards from one of the searchlights. “This place is almost impossible to get by.” Jasmine said with a wicked smile. Jasmine then reached into the pouch she brought with her and pulled out a small bomb. Jasmine pushed a secret button at the top of bomb, causing it to turn red and begin to beep. “Let’s see how you like this.” Jasmine said as she threw the bomb at the tower holding the searchlight. The bomb latches itself at the foot of the tower and starts to beep even faster, which attracted the attention of the surrounding mechs. The mechs walked up to the bomb and started to examine it until the beeping finally stopped. “Not good.” The mechs said, knowing what was going to happen next. The bomb then exploded, destroying not only the mechs, but the searchlight as well. “That should keep them busy for a while.” Jasmine said before she ran off. Thanks to the little distraction she created, Jasmine was able to pass the searchlights without being detected. Jasmine then landed in front of a steel door that most likely led to the inside of Eggman’s base. There was good news and bad news on getting inside. The bad news was that the door required a password to open. But the good news was that Eggman never changes his passwords. “M-A-R-I-A. Maria.” Jasmine said out loud as she typed in the password. “Access granted.” The computer said as it opened up the doors. “Always trust Eggman to never change his passwords from Sonic Adventure 2 to right now.” Jasmine said as she walked into the room. “Yes. And you can also trust him to always have a backup plan.” Eggman’s voice came from the loudspeakers. Just then, a large number of white mechs dropped from the ceiling and landed in front of her. “That’s bad.” Jasmine stated the obvious. Just as the mechs were about to fire their guns, they were interrupted when a familiar voice could be heard. “CHAOS BLAST!!!” A pulse of green energy was released in the middle of the mech army and destroyed all the surrounding mechs, but was surprising stopped only a few inches away from Jasmine. When the green energy disappeared, Jasmine found Mach standing in the middle of where the mechs used to be. “Mach? What are you doing here?” Jasmine questioned. Mach walked over to her and said “I was sent here to save you as a request from the G.U.N. commander.” “Thanks, but I don’t need any rescuing. I can handle myself just fine.” Jasmine said stubbornly. “Whatever. Come on, let’s move.” Mach said as the both started to walk away. “Don’t you want to know what this is?” Jasmine asked suddenly. Mach looked back for a moment to see Jasmine holding up a silver glowing scepter. For some reason, Mach felt small chill run up his spine from looking at the scepter, but shrugged it off. “My assignment was to rescue you. Nothing more. Plus that thing creeps me out.” Mach told her. “Fine. With you, its always business.” Jasmine said. “That’s not true.” Mach retorted. “Oh yeah. Name one time you actually loosened up.” Jasmine challenged. “Uh... when I learned Blur was my twin brother.” was the only thing Mach could think of. While Mach was busy thinking even more, three giant red mechs dropped from the sky and landed in front of the two. “It seems they don’t want us to leave.” Jasmine said. “Let’s just finish these things off.” Mach said. “Allow me.” An unknown voice said. Just then, a cloud of black smoke passed through the mech and sliced them in half. “What just happened?” Mach asked, completely confused. The black smoke landed in front of the two and took the form of Erazor Djinn. “Allow me to introduce myself. I am Erazor Djinn.” Erazor informed them. “Well...thanks for the help.” Jasmine said uneasily, not trusting this newcomer at all. “Don’t be thanking me just yet. As I last remember, you have something that belongs to me.” Erazor said. “And that would be old enemy?” Mach questioned. “The scepter of darkness.” Erazor answered as he pointed at the scepter in Jasmine’s hands. “Forget it. Whatever you want with it, you won’t have it back.” Mach told him. “Then prepare for you demise, you filthy rat.” Erazor said as he unsheathed his razor blade. Mach jumped to punch Erazor, but surprisingly, his fist went straight through him. “What? It’s an illusion.” Mach said. “Oh, I assure you, I am no illusion. Here, let me show you.” Erazor said. Erazor then struck Mach in his back multiple times with his razor blade and sent him flying back over ten feet. “Mach!” Jasmine shouted as she quickly ran to his side. “What just happened?” Mach asked. “You fool. Without my lamp, you can’t touch me.” Erazor informed him. “Well, you’re not the only one with tricks up his sleeve.” Mach said as he released one of his power rings from his wrist. As Mach clutched the ring in his hand, Erazor charged and brought his razor blade down on them. “CHAOS CONTROL” Mach shouted before disappearing with Jasmine, which cause Erazor to miss his target. “No!” Erazor shouted in anger. “The master isn’t going to be happy about this.” Erazor said quietly to himself. Thanks to the powers of chaos control, Mach and Jasmine were transported into to the center of Eggman’s base. Jasmine took a good look around the room and saw a map of Soleanna on the main viewing screen. “Ah, Soleanna, the city of water. It has a constitutional monarchy, you know. The primary industries are tourism and crafting precision machinery.” Jasmine informed Mach. Jasmine looked over to Mach, who was staring at an oil painting of the princess of Soleanna. “The current sovereign is Princess annalise the first.” Jasmine continued. “Why does Eggman’s base have an odd place like this?” Mach questioned. “How should I know? I’m just following my orders to retrieve this item for G.U.N.” Jasmine said as she held the scepter in plain sight. “Hmm...seeing as that Erazor Djinn is after it, you will most likely need me to assist you.” Mach said. “Great, then can you help me bring this scepter to the G.U.N. rendezvous point?” Jasmine asked. “And where is the rendezvous point?” Mach questioned. Jasmine then pointed to a section of the screen map that was far from the town. “Kingdom Valley.” Jasmine informed him. “Then let’s go.” Mach said as he grabbed her arm. “CHAOS CONTROL!” Mach shouted and disappeared along with Jasmine. Inside the forest outside of Eggman’s base, Erazor was retreating until White Horror blocked his path. “Look who it is. The great genie of evil arriving from the midst of failure.” White Horror said. “Cram it, you freak eye! I didn’t fail, that rat merely found a hole to escape through!” Erazor exclaimed. “I warned you. Mach is craftier then he looks, I gave him his powers.” White Horror said. “Of course, you would know. You were killed by the rodent.” Erazor said with a chuckle. “At least I wasn’t defeated by a 3 hedgehogs.” White Horror retorted. “I’m gonna...” Erazor was cut off. “Enough!” a harsh voice said. The two looked over and saw their master moving out from behind the trees. “M-master.” Erazor stuttered in fear. “Did you bring the scepter of darkness?” their master asked. “N-no.” Erazor stuttered again. The mysterious master then pulled out Erazor’s red and gold lamp and began to crush it in his hands. A surge of pain washed over Erazor and forced him to his knees, soon the master casted a spell that put the lamp inside his body. “I won’t accept failure...from either of you, and you're punishment Erazor...you will be forced to feel pain again.” the mysterious master said as he kept a close eye on White Horror. “Do not worry, master. I will retrieve the scepter of darkness for you.” White Horror offered. “No. Leave that to me. I have another job for you.” the mysterious person said as he gave White Horror a blue chaos emerald. “We will be expecting a visitor from the future here. I want you to test him and if he passes, give this to him.” The mysterious person instructed. “As you wish.” White Horror said before using dark control to disappear. “No matter what happens, I will not let you be resurrected, Selihpem” the mysterious person said. | |

| In a flash of light, Mach and Jasmine appeared in the flooded section of Kingdom Valley. “This is Kingdom Valley? I can only imagine why G.U.N. would choose this place as a rendezvous point.” Mach said. “Hey, Mach, up here!” Jasmine called from the top of nearby stair case. Mach walked up the stair case and saw Jasmine standing in front of steel door blocking their path. “What’s this doing here?” Mach questioned. “Eggman must be planning to change this place into another base. It looks like this door requires three keys to open and I, being a natural-born recovery specialist, will find them.” Jasmine said. “Uh...Jasmine?” Mach tried to say to her, but she wasn’t listening. “See ya in a bit, Mach.” Jasmine said as she flew off. “Somethimes I feel like I’m a delivery boy who never gets work. I could’ve just broke the door down and been done with this.” Mach said as he released one of his power rings and clutched it in his hand. Jasmine was currently climbing on the side of one of the towers and looked through the stained-glass window to see one of the keys being guarded by five white mechs. “Hmm...It looks like the key is heavily guarded. Well I’m always up for a challenge” Jasmine said with a smirk. Jasmine reached into her pouch and placed one of her bombs on the window. The bomb exploded and Jasmine quickly jumped into action. Jasmine jumped down to one of the mechs and delivered a powerful kick to knock its head off. Three of the other mechs fired their guns at Jasmine, but Jasmine quickly ducked behind the remaining mech, who was destroyed by the gunshots. “Let see how you like these.” Jasmine said as she pulled out a number of bombs from her pouch. Jasmine threw the bombs in front of the mechs and exploded to destroy them. “They never learn, do they?” Jasmine said as she picked up the key and flew off. Jasmine discovered the second key in a small indent in the wall south of the tower. The only problem was that the key was guarded by hot burning lasers. “Now just how am I supposed to get past that?” Jasmine asked herself. Jasmine’s ear picked up the sound of laser fire and quickly jumped back before she was hit. Jasmine looked up the wall and saw four red crab mechs climbing on the side. “Well that’s new.” Jasmine commented. The crab mechs turned their heads and fired lasers at Jasmine, who quickly took to the skies(She’s using a jet pack) to avoid them. “Oh boys.” Jasmine called out from above. Jasmine then pulled out a bomb out of her pouch and placed it on the wall on top of the mechs before flying to safety. The bomb Jasmine placed exploded and sent several piece of rubble crashing down on the mech to crush them. Thanks to the sudden explosion from Jasmine’s bomb, the key was released from the laser defense and was thrown into the air. Jasmine quickly catches the key and says “Two down, one to go.” Jasmine found the final key inside a laser shield cage and was surprisingly unguarded. “Hmm...You would think Egg-head would keep all his important items under heavy security.” Jasmine said as she walked up to the control console. The console needed a password, which even a brain-dead monkey could figure out. “M-A-R-I-A. Maria.” Jasmine said as she typed in the password. The laser shield fell and Jasmine picked up the key inside. “You would think that after all this time; Eggman would at least change his password.” Jasmine said while smiling in victory. But her celebration was short lived when a red walker mech jumped out of the water and landed in front of Jasmine. “It’s never easy.” Jasmine commented. The walker fired lasers out of its arms, which Jasmine quickly avoided by flying into air. Jasmine spun around at a fast pace and shouted “SCREW KICK!” Using her signature move, Jasmine plowed through the walker chest to destroy it before flying away. Jasmine flew back to the door where she first started and found that Mach was no longer there. “I can’t believe he ditched me. Just goes to show you, you can never trust anyone. Especially a socially challenged hedgehog.” Jasmine said to herself. Jasmine placed the three keys inside the hole and the door instantly flung open. As Jasmine walked through the door, she found Mach leaning on the wall next to her. “What?! How did you get over here?!” Jasmine exclaimed. Mach held up his arm to show his power rings and simply said “chaos control.” Jasmine instantly smacked herself in the face for not realizing that she could have avoided all the trouble if she stayed with Mach and used chaos control. “Come on, we’ve wasted enough time here.” Mach said as he started to walk away with Jasmine following close behind. Mach and Jasmine reached a dead end when the rest of the walk way was flooded. “The rendezvous point should just up ahead.” Jasmine informed him. “Why am I not surprised?” Mach asked himself. “I can fly over this flood, but how are you going to get across?” Jasmine asked her ebony companion. “You’re not going to help me across?” Mach asked her. “Forget it! There is no way I am carrying you all the way there!” Jasmine exclaimed. “Relax, I was only asking. I don’t need your help to get across.” Mach told her. “Huh?” Jasmine looked at Mach, very confused. Mach walked over to the water and, to Jasmine’s surprise, was actually standing on top of the water. “But how?” Jasmine asked. Mach smirks for a moment before point to his air skates. “You think you’re all that, don’t you?” Jasmine said. “Pretty much.” Mach said before racing across the water. Mach was racing across the water and found the area to be quiet. Too quiet. Mach suddenly stopped, which quickly caught Jasmine’s attention. “What’s wrong, Mach?” Jasmine asked. “This is too easy.” Mach answered. “Maybe Eggman’s robots have finally given up.” Jasmine said as she continued to fly towards her destination. Just then, two flying mechs popped out of the water and aimed their guns at Jasmine’s head. Lucky for her, Mach used his speed to get between them and plow his fists into their cores. “I told you it was too easy.” Mach said. An explosion could be heard from above their heads and the two looked up to see one of the towers falling directly towards them. “Move!” Jasmine exclaimed. “Too late!” Mach shouted as the fallen tower had collapsed on them. A few minute later, Eggman’s flying mechs were searching the water for any sign of Mach or Jasmine. Eggman’s flying television floated down towards the mechs. “Well?” Eggman asked. “Targets are still missing.” The flying mech answered. “Well then find them. I want to make sure they are permanently out of the picture.” Eggman commanded. “Yes, sir!” the flying mechs said before they scattered again. But while they were searching in the water, Mach and Jasmine were hiding in a secret tunnel. “It’s a good thing that tower missed us, or we would be dead.” Jasmine said. “It’s too risky to walk the rest of the way with Eggman’s machines searching the entire area.” Mach said. “So how do we reach the rendezvous point?” Jasmine asked. To answer her question, Mach released one of the power rings on his risk and clutched it in his hand. Mach grabbed Jasmine by her arm and lifts the ring in the air, shouting “CHAOS CONTROL!” And in a flash of light, Mach and Jasmine vanished. Using chaos control, Mach and Jasmine found themselves in an old ruined building hidden in the valley forest. For some reason, Mach felt that he had been here before. “What is this place?” Mach asked. “The former ruler of Soleanna used this place as a castle during his rule. But a major accident occurred ten years ago and no one has been here since.” Jasmine informed him. “Accident?” Mach asked. “I heard a prototype energy engine failed, which caused the accident. The think the name of the plan was...” Jasmine was cut off. “The Creator Project.” Eggman’s voice could be heard from the sky. Mach and Jasmine looked up and saw Eggman flying down to them in his new Eggmobile. “It was an ambitious project named after their eternal sun god.” Eggman told them. “Eggman!” Mach exclaimed. “It has been awhile since I last saw you two. Now, if you’d be so kind as to hand back the scepter of darkness you took from me.” Eggman said. “Never.” Jasmine told him. “Very well.” Eggman said as he snapped his fingers. On command, a numerous amount of white mechs surrounded the two. The white mechs aimed their gun and quickly opened fire on them. Acting fast, Mach used his speed to avoid the attacks while Jasmine flew up into the air. Unknown to any of them, White Horror and Erazor Djinn’s mysterious master was watching the entire battle from atop the building wall. “I will not let you escape, Selihpem.” The mysterious person said as he gathered a great amount of blue chaos energy in his hand and shot it at Jasmine. The sudden attack caught Jasmine by surprise and hit her directly in the back. Jasmine spiraled downwards towards the ground, dropping the scepter along the way. Seeing the Jasmine was dropping fast, Mach quickly dived to catch her, but was not fast enough to catch the scepter. “NO!” Eggman and the mysterious person shouted simultaneously. The scepter hit the ground and, miraculously, did not break, making the mysterious person sigh in relief. The scepter then began to crack and the mysterious person said “Darn it!” The scepter released a pulse of energy that short-circuited all the mechs. Mach walked up to try and touch the scepter, but just being near it caused his body to feel extremely cold. Just then, a large trail of darkness escaped from the scepter and started attacking the mechs. “No, this cannot be! I can’t stay here!” Eggman exclaimed as he cowardly flew away. “Damn, I failed. Now it’s all up to Blur, Mach, and Blitz to save the day.” The mysterious person said before vanishing in a worm hole. After finishing with the mechs, the trail of darkness was headed for Mach’s direction. But instead of attacking him, it faded away in his Shadow. Not long after, the Darkness soon expanded and came to life in a puff of black smoke. “What in the world is that?” Jasmine asked herself. When the smoke disappeared, SHadow like standing in front of them, only he had grey streaks and bangs. The mysterious being looked up at Mach and began to laugh crazily, deeply confusing Mach and Jasmine “Oh, how ironic fate can be. I would never have believed I would be resurrected through your mistakes. I thank you, Mach Speed Blazer. ” The being said as he gave a formal bow to Mach. “Who are you? How do you know my name?” Mach questioned. “I am Selihpem. Selihpem the Dark. But I prefer to be called Selih.” Selihpem answered as he used his new body to move forward. Selihpem asked before stopping in front of Mach. Selihpem stared at Mach with his Black, demonic eyes. Those eyes, they sent huge chills down Mach’s spine, it felt like he was frozen. It was like looking in the face of death. For the first time since he met White Horror, Mach was afraid. “Now I shall repay you.” Selihpem said as he formed a purple ball of energy in his hand. “What you gave to me, I now return to you!” Selihpem exclaimed as he threw the ball of energy into the air. The ball of energy soon expanded to engulf everyone and disappear. | |

| The purple ball of energy reappeared again with Mach and Jasmine jumping out of it. Jasmine went to look out one of the broken windows nearby and saw a city in total ruins. The skies were as black as Mach’s fur and the entire city was covered in flames and lava. “What is this place?” Jasmine questioned. “It seems we have been teleported to another location.” Mach guessed. “Well, let’s find out where we are.” Jasmine said before she ran off. Mach stayed behind for a moment to collect his thoughts. “Selihpem...who is he? I feel like I know him from somewhere. But the question is, where?” Mach asked himself. “Hey, Mach! Come here, I think I found something that tells where we are!” Jasmine called from down the hall. Mach broke from his chain of thoughts and followed Jasmine to a small room down the hall. Jasmine took Mach into a room with a large computer on the wall. Jasmine tried to access the computer, but the trouble was that it needed a password. “It will take a while before I can find the password for this thing.” Jasmine told him. “We don’t have time; we need to find out where we are and what’s happened to this city.” Mach said sternly. “Well then, what do you think the password is smart guy?” Jasmine said stubbornly. “Try, Maria.” Mach told her. “Fine. M-A-R-I-A, Maria.” Jasmine said as she typed in the password. To her surprise, the password was accepted and the computer data base opened up. “Wha? How did you know that was the password, Mach?” Jasmine asked. Mach pointed to the top of the computer and Jasmine looked up to see Eggman symbol. “ Oh…Then that means we’re still in Dr. Eggman’s base. But how is that possible?” Jasmine questioned. “I think I might know.” Mach said as he walked up the computer and started accessing its files. “Just as I thought. It’s not where we are, it’s when we are.” Mach said. “What do you mean when?” Jasmine asked. “It would appear that we have traveled through time itself.” Mach put it simply. “To where exactly?” Jasmine asked. “24 years in the future. The year of 2100.” Mach told her. “Well, at least we know we’ve arrived in the future. That means this “Selihpem” character has the power to travel through and control time” Jasmine said. “His power feels strangely similar to that of my own chaos control. But...” Mach was cut off when the heard three loud thuds coming from outside. In a brilliant flash of red light, Blur, Wing, and Rock dropped from the ceiling into the new world. Blur and Wing were able to land on their feet, but Rock was unfortunate enough to land on his head. “Ow.” Rock said as he rubbed his aching head. “It’s a good thing nothing’s in there.” Blur chuckled. Rock was about to beat Blur to a pulp until. “Oh, look who’s here. I didn’t expect to see you guys here.” Jasmine’s voice came from above. Blur and the others looked up to see Mach and Jasmine standing in a room just above them. “Jasmine! Mach!” Wing exclaimed. “Hi. Long time, no see. And I really mean long time.” Jasmine said. Blur, Mach and the others met up later outside the Eggman’s former base and looked out to the destroyed city that was once Soleanna. “This is the distant future, far removed from our own timeline. 24 years if you wanna be exact” Mach explained. “The future? Then that means Eggman’s machine can control time!” Wing exclaimed. “Eggman’s got some nerve dropping us here.” Blur said. “Now, how can we get back to our own time?” Rock asked. “You need a space-time rift, but this requires a lot of energy. More specifically, chaos energy.” Mach explained. “I get it. You mean by using chaos control...” Blur was cut off. “Yes, but our power alone is insufficient unless we have 3 emeralds.” Mach said. “Ok, Mach. It looks like we’re working together again. Just like old times bro.” Blur said showing his Blue emerald. “We’ll split up into to teams and each of us will recover one chaos emerald from this city.” Mach instructed. “Alright, then I get Rocky.” Jasmine said as she latched on to Rock arm. “Fine with me.” Rock said with a big smile on his face. “Come on.” Mach said as he began to drag Jasmine away by her ears. “Let’s go Rocky.” Blur said as he started to drag Rock by his ear. “Hey! Let go!” Jasmine yelled at Mach, who was still dragging here by her ears. “Fine. Mach said as he let go of her. “Just what was that all about?” Jasmine said angrily. “We have to find the chaos emeralds and return to our own timeline before it’s too late. We couldn’t afford to have you be distracted.” Mach calmly explained his intentions. “You think that rockhead would distract me?” Jasmine questioned. “Yes.” Mach answered simply. “Well I’ll have you to know that no one, not even that rockhead can distract me. I didn’t even want to be on his team anyway.” Jasmine said stubbornly. “You called him Rocky and latched yourself to his arm.” Mach recalled the events that just happened a few minutes ago. Jasmine’s face turned completely red from Mach remark and tried to retort, but couldn’t think of anything to say. Mach smirked, knowing he had won and then felt an unusually strong chaos energy coming from the sky. Mach looked up and saw Slick fly by with Sheila following close behind on the rooftops. “That might be worth looking into.” Mach said as he started to chase Slick with Jasmine following him. Mach and Jasmine stopped chasing Slick when they reached a dead end that fell straight into a lava pit. The two looked at the direction Slick went and saw a large tornado of flames that erupted from the earth. “A tornado of flame? Now that’s a strange sight.” Jasmine commented. The tornado of flames soon disappeared and was replaced by a large humanoid monster made of souls with four long tendrills. “And that’s an even stranger sight.” Mach said. While Mach was staring at the ferocious soul monster, Jasmine’s ears picked up something swooping down towards them. “Mach, duck!” Jasmine shouted before she pulled Mach to the ground. Mach and Jasmine stood up again and looked back to see a number of Biters and Takers. “Things just never seem to go our way.” Jasmine complained. Jasmine flew into the air and quickly was surrounded by the Takers. “You guys wouldn’t hit a lady now, would you?” Jasmine said. Just as she said that, the Takers started diving at her, only missing by inches. “I’ll take that as a yes!” Jasmine exclaimed as she flew away to escape. Jasmine looked back and saw that the Takers were following close behind her. “They just don’t give. Such is the curse of being so beautiful.” Jasmine said, inflating her ego even more. Jasmine quickly dived behind a large piece of rubble and waited for the Takers to get closer. When the fire birds were close enough, Jasmine lifted the piece of rubble up to create a wall, which all the Takers crashed into. “Better luck next time.” Jasmine said as she let go of the rubble to let it fall on the Takers. Mach was fighting the Biters, but seemed very bored with them. One of the Biters jumped at Mach, but Mach just grabbed the Biter by its head and threw it behind him. Another Biter lunged at Mach, but Mach just kicked it away like it was nothing. “I grow bored with these games.” Mach said. Mach raised his hand and several arrows of Purple light formed around him. “CHAOS SPEAR!” Mach shouted as the Purple arrows flew towards the Biters and destroyed them. When all the Biters were gone, a green chaos emerald was found on the ground where they used to be. “Well looky what we’ve found here.” Jasmine said as she dropped down next to Mach and picked up the chaos emerald. “That’s only one emerald. One more and we should be able to get back to our time. Let’s go.” Mach told her as he started walking down the street. Mach and Jasmine were still walking down the street, but Jasmine was too busy looking at the chaos emerald in her hand. “My precious emerald. You are all so beautiful. Your mysterious brilliance.” Jasmine said to the emerald. Mach looked at Jasmine like she was crazy. Was she actually talking to the chaos emerald? Mach looked back down the road and what he saw came to a shock to him. Kumori was sitting on the ground next to one of the destroyed buildings. “Kumori!” Mach shouted as he ran to her side. Mach was expecting Kumori to jump at him and hug him to death like she normal does, but she didn’t. “Kumori, can you hear me?” Mach asked her with tears in is eyes, but received no reaction. Mach looked into Kumori’s eyes and saw that she was still alive, but something was wrong. “What’s wrong with her?” Mach asked Jasmine, obviously concerned for Kumori. “My guess is that she is in a mental shock it’s when someone takes a shock by mental meanings and who knows when they wake up in english it's like a coma. But my question is; what could have been so horrible to cause something like this?” Jasmine said. Just then, Jasmine’s wrist communicator started beeping. “This is Jasmine.” Jasmine said into the communicator. While Jasmine was busy talking, Mach continued to watch Kumori. What could have caused this? Why did this happen to her? These questions kept buzzing around in his mind, finding no answers to them. “Understood. We’ll be there in a minute.” Jasmine said. “It looks like Blur and his friends my have found something too. Let’s go.” Jasmine told him. Mach did not even attempt to move from Kumori. “Mach, it’s too late for her now. We have to move on.” Jasmine said. Mach looked back at Jasmine for a moment before taking one last look at his best friend. “Yeah.” Mach said in a depressing manner before starting to walk away. Mach took once last look at Kumori before chasing after Jasmine. “I’m sorry, Kumori.” Mach said silently. | |

| Mach and Jasmine were waiting in a ridge close to a river of hot lava close to an active volcano. Mach was still depressed that he failed to help Kumori and Jasmine was trying everything she could to snap him out of it. Just then, Blur and his friends decided to show up. “You know, for the fastest thing alive, you are so slow, Blur.” Jasmine said. “Hey! Shaddup!” Blur exclaimed. “Never mind that. Look what we found.” Jasmine said as she held up the chaos emerald to plain view. “You found one of the chaos emeralds!” Wing exclaimed. “Of course. I may not look like one, but I’m a real recovery specialist. Unlike a certain hedgehog we all know.” Jasmine taunted. “What was that?!” Rock said angrily as he held his fist dangerously close to Jasmine’s face. “That’s enough!” Mach said sternly, finally breaking out of his depression state. Rock looked at to Jasmine for a moment before turning away. “Have you guys found anything?” Mach asked. “Yeah, I received a signal indicating that there’s a chaos emerald somewhere inside that volcano.” Wing told the group. “You’re kidding! You mean we have to go all the way through there?” Jasmine complained. “If you don’t like it, you can stay here. Chicken Licken” Rock taunted. “You have got to be kidding! There is no way I am leaving an idiot like you in there, alone.” Jasmine retorted, which made Rock even more angry. “It would probably be better if we split up and covered more ground.” Mach instructed. “Don’t be late bro.” Blur said. “Same to you.” Mach said to him. Just as they planned, Blur went with Wing and Rock one way, while Mach went with Jasmine down another. Mach and Jasmine were currently walking down the path they’ve chosen until Mach suddenly stopped. “What’s the matter, Mach?” Jasmine asked. “Just look at it, the volcano.” Mach said. Jasmine looked at the active volcano and asks “Yeah, what about it?” “The volcano’s energy is completely out of control. I don’t know what it is, but I defiantly know it’s not the chaos emerald that’s causing it.” Mach said. “That’s impossible. What else could cause a natural disaster like this?” Jasmine questioned. “I don’t know, but it’s powerful.” Mach said. Just then, several gigantic fireballs spat out of the lava into two separate directions. “That’s strange. It looks like those fire balls are headed straight...for...us!” Jasmine yelled as the fire balls were indeed headed towards them. Acting fast, Mach grabbed Jasmine by her arm to pull her away from the direction of the fire ball that was about to hit her. “Ok, I believe you.” Jasmine said to him. The two look up and saw more fireballs headed their way. “Move!” Mach shouted. Seeing that the fireballs were moving to fast for her, Mach quickly grabbed Jasmine and carried her in his arms while trying to run away. “Whoa, slow down, partner. Not on the first date.” Jasmine said in a flirtatious manner. “Shaddup Jasmine or I’ll hit you.” Mach said sternly. Mach looked back at the fire balls that were chasing them for a moment without noticing the large loop in front. “Mach!” Jasmine yelled to get his attention. Mach looked forward to see the loop and only smirked. “You better not be doing what I think you’re doing! Mach? MACH!?” Jasmine exclaimed. “Hold on.” Mach told her as he sped up. Using his added speed to his advantage, Mach went straight up and then down without falling out of the loop before using a speed boost that was conveniently there to reach another part of the ridge. When Mach landed, he quickly dumped Jasmine on the ground. “Whoa, what a ride.” Jasmine said dizzily. Mach scanned his surroundings for any sign of a way to reach the volcano. The only thing looked like it could help was an extra large speed boast pointed in the direction of the volcano. “That’s strange. It’s almost as if someone is leading us to the volcano.” Mach thought suspiciously. “Hey, what’s wrong, Mach?” Jasmine asked as she noticed Mach’s expression. “Nothing. Come on. Let get moving.” Mach said to her as he started walking towards the speed boost. Just as they were walking, numerous Biters & Takers jumped out of the many lava pits surrounding them. “Ugh, don’t we see enough of these guys?” Jasmine complained. “Apparently not.” Mach said as he moved into his fighting stance. Jasmine took to the skies with the Takers following close behind. “This will be just as easy as last time.” Jasmine said confidently as she looked back at the Takers chasing her. But while she was looking back, Jasmine didn’t notice a single Taker swoop down in front of her and bash her over the head with its wing. The sudden attack caused Jasmine to spiral downwards to the ground at an alarmingly fast pace. At the last second, Jasmine pulled out her hang glider to catch a brief gust of wind and glided for a moment before being flung back into the air. “My, attacking a lady. Shame on you.” Jasmine said as the Takers made another attempt to attack. Jasmine quickly reached into her pouch and threw red metal balls at the Takers, who easily caught them in their feet. “Bye-bye.” Jasmine said with a smirk as she pulled out a small electronic button. Jasmine pressed the button, which caused all the red balls to beep at a fast pace. “Squawk?” The Takers said before they blew up. Back with Mach, he was currently avoiding the many Biters that were lunging at him in every direction. “I have had enough of this.” Mach said. Mach dodged another Biter and quickly grabbed it by its tail to throw it back at another that was about to hit him. Over a hundred purple arrows formed around Mach as he yells “MULTI-CHAOS SPEAR!” The yellow arrow fly off in multiply directions, destroying every one of the Biters like last time. “You would think they’d learn from their past mistakes.” Mach said. As Jasmine swooped down to land next to Mach, a Golem jumped out one of the lava pits to land in front of the two. “Well that’s new.” Jasmine commented. The Golem a spiked ball of rock in its hand and threw it at the duo. Mach used his speed to dodge, while Jasmine quickly flew up in the sky with her jet pack. “SCREW KICK!” Jasmine shouted as she used her signature technique on the monsters chest, but found it to be ineffective. “That’s not good.” Jasmine said. The Golem created another spiked ball and used it as a mace to bash Jasmine to the wall. “Jasmine!” Mach exclaimed. Mach stared at the Golem with angry eyes as it began to advance towards Jasmine. “CHAOS SPEAR!” Mach yelled as he used his famous attack on the Golem, but the monster just shrugged it off. The Golem grabbed Jasmine around her waist and slowly started to crush her. “Aah!” Jasmine yelled in pain. “Jasmine! That does it!” Mach yelled as he removed his power rings. “I lost one friend already and I am not about to lose another!” Mach exclaimed. Mach gather a huge amount of chaos energy in both hands and brought them together to form one giant black arrow. “CHAOS LANCE!” Mach yelled as he threw the arrow at the Golem. The powerful attack pierced straight through its rock armor to destroy it, which gave Jasmine a chance to escape. Jasmine picked up the power rings and handed them to Mach, who collapsed to his knees from the immense energy drain. “Wow, Mach! I had no idea you could do that outside you super form.” Jasmine said, obviously impressed at how powerful Mach had become after only being reawakened six months ago. “Me...neither.” Mach panted as he grabbed the rings and placed them back on his wrists. “We should get moving. We don’t want Blur and the others to beat us there.” Jasmine told him. “Right. That’s so much fun.” Mach sarcastically said as he got back to his feet. Mach picked up Jasmine and ran at top speed towards the speed boost, which sent him flying straight towards the volcano’s mouth. Blur and Mach’s group were flying towards the mouth of the volcano, but unfortunately they crashed into each other and were caught in an awkward pile-up. “Hey watch it!” Blur yelled. “Watch the tail!” Wing exclaimed. “Someone get their foot out of my face!” Mach shouted. “Who’s touching me?!” Jasmine said angrily. “Sorry.” Rock apologized. Jasmine slapped Rock across the face for that. After taking a few awkward moments, the group finally broke apart and looked around to find themselves standing in front of a large ice pit. The strange thing was that the pit was dark and the only thing lighting it was the ice and three glowing orbs. Jasmine then noticed something else glowing in the pit. It was the light blue chaos emerald. Jasmine flew up into the air to grab it. “Looks like I found another chaos emerald.” Jasmine said. “Don’t touch it!” Mach warned her, but it was too late. When Jasmine touched the emerald, a gigantic Larvae popped out of the ice, which knocked Jasmine back to the group. “What’s that?” Blur questioned. “No good. I can tell you that.” Mach told him before he jumped on to one of the rock platforms with Blur joining. “Ready, bro?” Blur asked. “Always.” Mach replied. The larvae reeled its head back for a moment before throwing it forward and shooting several ice balls at the two. Thinking fast, Blur and Mach jumped to two nearby rock platforms to avoid the attack. “Can’t say I was expecting that.” Blur said. Mach looked forward at the larvae and saw that it had disappeared. “Where did it go?” Mach questioned. He received an answer when the larvae popped out from under the platform, sending Mach flying. “Mach!” Blur called out. The larvae then turned to Blur. Blur jumped into the air and used his homing attack on the creature, only to be bounced back to the rock platform. “That’s bad.” Blur said as the larva’s mouth came closer to him. Meanwhile, Mach then fell on one of the glowing orbs and broke it, releasing the light that was trapped within it. the larvae stopped its attack on Blur and looked back at the light, completely mesmerized by it. The larvae left Blur and jumped to attack the platform where Mach and the light were at. Acting fast, Mach quickly jumped to another platform with another light orb as the larvae devoured the platform and the light. Blur jumps on the same platform as Mach and asks “What just happened?” “The light. It must be attracted to the light. That gives me an idea.” Mach said. “Well then, let’s hear it.” Blur said. As Mach was explaining his plan, the larvae came back up and looked around for Blur and Mach. “Ready?” Mach asked. “Always.” Blur replied. Mach then broke the orb with his fist, which released the light within it. the larvae saw the light and jumped in the air and opened its mouth to devour it. “Now! CHAOS SPEAR!” “CHAOS WIND!” Blur and Mach yelled out their signature attacks and sent them into the creatures mouth. Both attacks together caused the creature to cry out in pain and fall back into the lava in defeat. When the larvae fell, the chaos emerald popped out of the lava and landed into Blur’s hands. “All right!” Blur shouted victoriously. A few minutes later, Blur, Mach, and the others returned to the spot where they started with Blur and Mach holding the chaos emeralds. Blur and Mach cross their hands and shouts “CHAOS CONTROL!” The combined control attacks created a white vortex behind the group, which most likely led them back to their own time period. Blur, Wing, and Rock jumped into the vortex, shortly followed by Jasmine. Mach was about to jump in with them until he felt a familiar chill going down his spine. “I see you have defeated a Larvae. Very impressive.” An all-too familiar voice said from behind. Mach looked back to find Selihpem appear in a puff of black smoke. “But it was nothing more then a mindless puppet. If you want a real challenge, then follow me.” Selihpem said as he started to run towards the volcano. Mach was about to decline, but then thought he might hold the answers of what happen to this world and Kumori. Mach had decided and chased after Selihpem as his only way home disappeared. | |

| In the central plaza of the town of Soleanna, a white vortex appeared in midair with Jasmine dropping down from it. Jasmine quickly scanned her surroundings and was relieved to find that they were back in their own time period. “Well, looks like we made it back in one piece, Mach.” Jasmine said. Jasmine received no reply from her black hedgehog companion. “Mach?” Jasmine questioned. Jasmine looked around to find that her friend did not come back with her. On the ground in front of her was the green chaos emerald that Mach used to create the time vortex. Jasmine picked up the chaos emerald with a worried expression on her face. “Mach...and he doesn’t have a chaos emerald anymore. How is he going to get back?” Jasmine questioned. Just then, Jasmine’s wrist communicator started beeping, so she answered it. It was the G.U.N. commander. “Jasmine? Report your status immediately. Were you able to retrieve the scepter of darkness?” The G.U.N. commander asked. “Well...I’ll provide you a full report later.” Jasmine told him, not wanting to spend time explaining how the scepter broke and a time traveling demon was released from it. “I still have to figure a way to get Mach back. But how can I do that? It’s not like I can wait for over 24 years.” Jasmine said in her mind. That’s when it hit her. “Uh...commander, I have something to ask you.” Jasmine said. “What is it, Jasmine?” The G.U.N. commander asked. “I have a priority situation to deal with right now. I need the location of a certain person, immediately.” Jasmine requested. “And that would be?” The G.U.N. commander asked. “Kumori the Hedgehog.” Jasmine replied. "You'll find her in the Tropical Jungle." The G.U.N. commander replied. In the tropical jungle west of the town of Soleanna, Kumori the Hedgehog climbed up one of the trees and scouted the area, like she was looking for something or someone. “Ugh, where is Geisy? She said she would be here, so why isn’t she here?” Kumori asked herself. “When I find Geisy I am gonna...” Kumori trailed off, trying to calm her growing anger. “I presume this “Geisy” person is a friend of yours.” A woman’s voice came from below, which caught Kumori by surprise. The surprise caused Kumori to slip off the tree and land on her back. “I’m ok.” Kumori said out loud as she jumped to her feet to find Jasmine. “This is a charming place you picked.” Jasmine said. “Jasmine? What are you doing here?” Kumori asked. “Well, I need your help. It’s about Mach.” Jasmine said. Just the mention of Mach’s name was all Kumori needed to set her off. “What happened to my Mach?!” Kumori exclaimed as she started shaking vigorously. “Calm down so I can tell you!” Jasmine shouted. Kumori did as Jasmine said and let go of so she could explain. A couple of minutes later, Jasmine had just finished explaining the situation to Kumori. “So this “Seliphem” guy transported Mach to the future and now he’s trapped there.” Kumori summed it up. “Yep.” Jasmine replied. “So what do you want me to do about it?” Kumori asked. “I think maybe if you run fast enough with that emerald in hand you could travel 24 years into the future where Mach is at.” Jasmine said as she handed the chaos emerald to Kumori. “Take this and deliver it to Mach. I have a feeling he’s going to need all the help he can get.” Jasmine said. “You got it. I’m coming, Mach!” Kumori yelled as she used her super speed to run off to an unknown location. 24 years in the future, Mach was still chasing Seliphem until he found himself in another location of the volcano. Seliphem was standing on a high rock, looking down towards Mach. “So, decided to decline your return ticket home now, did you?” Seliphem mockingly asked. “Why are you here? Did you ruin this world? Was it you that forced Kumori into that state of trauma?” Mach continually asked. “The answers are yes, and at the same time, no.” Seliphem said in riddles. Mach looked at Seliphem in confusion, wondering what he could mean by that. Seliphem saw Mach’s confused expression and says “Perhaps it would be better if I show you. Turn around.” Mach did as Seliphem said and around turned to find a very shocking image. Bound to a rock behind Mach was a dead creature that had a metal pole piercing through its heart. Mach was shocked to discover that very creature was...himself. “Yes. That is you, Mach.” Seliphem said in a cruel manner. “After the world was devastated by Solatists’ ice, what do you think happened? A search for the guilty. Who did this you may ask. Well, I think that would be obvious.” Seliphem continued. Mach continued to stare at his future self’s dead body while listening to Seliphem’ speech. “Humanity wasn’t just jealous of your power. They feared it. They used this incident as an excuse to hunt you down and kill you.” Seliphem continued, his voice growing more vile by the second. “Come with me, Mach. Let us punish this foolish world of humanity. It’s only fair to give back what was intended for you. You have every right to want justice.” Seliphem persuaded. Mach stared at his future self and thought about what Seliphem just said and came up with only one answer. “No you demon freak.” Mach replied. “What?!” Seliphem shouted in surprise. “What ever it is you want to do, you can do it alone.” Mach said. “You forgive humanity for this folly?” Seliphem questioned. “I refuse to believe that this is my future. I determine my own destiny. And as long is I have friends like my twin brother and Kumori, nothing you can do will stop me!” Mach exclaimed. When Mach was finished, Seliphem began to laugh maniacally. “What a touching speech. It certainly warms my heart. That is...if I had one.” Seliphem said before his body gave off a flash of light and his eyes disappeared and the skin under his eyes became dark grey, his body became crystalline and changed color, in other words, he looked almost exactly like Mephiles. “Very well. If that is your choice, then it appears you must die early.” Seliphem said Seliphem jumped off from the rock to land in front of Mach, but instead of touching the ground, Seliphem fell through and became Mach’s Shadow. “Let’s see you try to defeat something that is a part of you.” Seliphem challenged. Just then, small black imps started appearing from the darkness and lunged at Mach. Mach jumped back to avoid one of the imps, but another one jumped on his back. Mach quickly grabbed the imp by its head and threw towards another group that was attacking him. “CHAOS SPEAR!” Mach shouted as over a hundred Purple arrows formed and struck the imps to destroy them. “Looks like you minions aren’t so tough.” Mach said to Seliphem. “Don’t be so sure.” Seliphem said. Suddenly, a hoard of imps jumped out from Seliphem and dog piled on to Mach. Seliphem reformed himself and laughed as he watched the imps crush Mach slowly. “And so ends the great legacy of Mach Speed Blazer.” Seliphem said confidently. Just when Seliphem thought he had won, a red flash came from the imp pile and destroyed them all. “What?!” Seliphem shouted in surprise. Standing where the imps were was Mach, who’s body was completely covered in Yellow chaos energy. “What is this?!” Seliphem exclaimed. “This is a little trick I like to call Chaos boost.” Mach said with a smirk. Seliphem stepped back for a moment and when he did, Mach vanished. Seliphem searched around for Mach, but quickly found him when Mach kicked him in the jaw and to send him hurtling into the air. “Let’s see how you like this.” Mach said as he disappeared again. Mach then reappeared ten feet above Seliphem and changed into his ball form. Mach spun around at a super fast pace and charged downwards towards Seliphem to hit him in the back and plow him into the ground. Mach returned to his normal form and jumped away a few feet as he watched Seliphem try to get up, only to fall back down. “You’re finished Seliphem.” Mach said. “I...think...not!” Seliphem exclaimed as he surprisingly regained his strength and got back to his feet. Once back on his feet, Seliphem released a purple field of energy the sent Mach crashing into the rock Seliphem was standing on earlier. Mach fell to the ground and became surprisingly weak from that single attack. It was obvious that Seliphem was more powerful then Mach had expected. “Rule one in battle: never let your guard down. Especially when your fighting an immortal demon.” Seliphem chuckled as he walked closer to Mach. Right when Seliphem over Mach and tried to grab him, an unknown leg came out of nowhere and kicked Seliphem across the face, sending him flying over five feet away. Mach looked up and smiled in happiness at who his rescuer was. “Kumori!” Mach exclaimed. “Hi, Mach.” Kumori said happily. “You dare to strike me!” Seliphem shouted in anger. “Stay back, Mach. I’ll take care of him.” Kumori said confidently as she stood to face Seliphem. “Kumori, no!” Mach shouted to try and stop her. “Very well. Prepare to die.” Seliphem said venomously. Kumori charged at Seliphem and gave a roundhouse kick that Seliphem dodged by ducking down. “Now your mine.” Seliphem said as he placed his hand on Kumori’s shadow. But to his surprise, nothing happened. “What?!” Seliphem shouted in surprise. Kumori spun around and delivered another roundhouse kick that Seliphem hit in the face and sent him back ten feet. “How? How are you able to become immune to my manipulations?” Seliphem questioned. “I know everything about you, Seliphem. You were able to become part of Mach's shadow and draw energy from him, slowly draining him of his power.” Kumori explained. “Of course. That’s why I felt so weak.” Mach concluded in his head. “But since I a have all of my shadow, you can’t drain my energy. Which means, your finished.” Kumori said with a wicked smile. “Uh oh.” Seliphem said. Kumori charged at Seliphem and launch a barrage of punches to his chest before delivering a powerful uppercut to his jaw, which sent him fly a few feet away. It looked as if Seliphem was truly defeated. “You did well, Kumori.” Mach said as he walked next to Kumori. Big mistake. The second Mach was next to her, Kumori brought Mach into a bone breaking hug. “Oh, thank you, Mach.” Kumori said happily. “Can’t...breath.” Mach managed to gasp out. “Don’t think this is over.” Seliphem said as he weakly got up. Kumori released Mach, who stared at Seliphem with eyes filled with the same kind of hatred he only gave to White Horror. “This is far from over. It is only the beginning.” Seliphem said as he formed a ball of purple energy in his hand. Seliphem expanded the ball over his head, which he used to escape. “Oh no, you don’t!” Mach exclaimed as he and Kumori jumped in the ball of energy to chase after him. | |
